Okra House in Entebbe is a nice small hotel that I had the pleasure of staying in during my recent trip to Uganda. One thing that really impressed me about this hotel was that they were always available online through WhatsApp, which made communication very easy and convenient. The hotel also provided a shuttle service, which was a great help since it was only a 7-minute drive from the Entebbe Airport. The shuttle was clean and comfortable, and the driver was very friendly and accommodating. Another thing I appreciated about Okra House was that they accepted payment by card, which made the process very quick and hassle-free. The friendly staff were also very helpful in providing local recommendations and arranging transportation for me. In terms of security, the hotel is located in a secured territory which gave me peace of mind during my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing. Overall, I had a great experience staying at Okra House and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Entebbe. The friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, and excellent amenities make it a great choice for travelers.

Rooms a bit small, but enough for one person.

The location is perfect if you arrive late at night (eg on Brussels Airlines or KLM) and are travelling on a budget. Less than 5 minutes from the terminal and very quiet. If requested they send their own car to collect you from the airport at no extra cost, even at after midnight. Breakfast was adequate, so overall good value for money. The staff were lovely!!

A minor (constructive) criticism is that I am not a great fan of the type of oscillating fan in the room. A fixed ceiling fan would have been better. They ought to consider having one luxury room with A/C for people who find the heat too oppressive at a slightly higher cost.

The location of the property, the well-maintained gardens and the views are breathtaking. It's a short trip to Victoria Mall by boda-boda (approx ugx 2,000) and the town. The staff were amazing.

The small size of the room approx 3x3m. I had to ask for a change. Also, need to change breakfast and restaurant menu to include Ugandan dishes such as katogo, luwombo, kwon, pork and pilau etc. Overall great experience!

Great location for anyone who needs to rest prior to taking a flight. The airport dropoff is an amazing complementary service. The staff are friendly and eager to make sure you enjoy your stay. The rooms and washrooms were sparkling clean.

The night is stayed there, there was a loud noise coming from the neihbourhood. Probably from a nearby hotel/bar which they have no control over. This is was my second time staying at OKRA and its only this one time that i experienced the disturbance. The previous time was 9.5/10

Great airport pick up. Driver waited for me at the exit, even though my flight was an hour delayed. He was very nice as well. The other staff members were also very nice. Bed sheets, shower and toilet were clean. I also liked that the shower could be turned warm.

I didn't like the van blowing right into my face when I went to sleep. However, when it was turned off it was too warm in the room. So I had to had it turned on.

What a calm and peaceful environment! Greeted after travelling with a friendly welcome, a comfy seat and a cold bottle of water. Such lovely, kind and friendly staff who are always around and willing to help. Spacious rooms and the balcony was fantastic...we sat and rested there, watching casked hornbills, sunbirds and plantain eaters (turaco species). Lovely breakfast of fruit and eggs (cereal if you would like it too) with unsweetened brown bread for toast- what a luxury in Africa! Can't recommend this place highly enough...the photos, while accurate, just aren't able to convey the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. We returned a week later, for another wonderful stay and collected my case that staff had kept for me...thank you to everyone 😊

My stay was peaceful, restful and happy! The breakfast was wonderful. Joyful literally cooked my eggs to order. The location was absolutely perfect. The bed was so very comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. I want to give a special thanks and shout out to Joyful and Gloria, who were particularly spectacular. They were on point with every detail. I also want to say a heartfelt thank you to the young man who drove me to the airport. He was a true professional and was very kind. I apologize for not remembering his name, but I will not soon forget his positive attitude. Frankly, I am exacting when it comes to timeliness and meeting the standard. Okra House makes the grade across the board and I recommend them to anyone needing a place to stay in Entebbe. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Respectfully, Z

Okra House is more than just a house but a true place of fun; excellent green and clean environment offering a quiet serenity. The place is at the heart of Entebbe but feels really isolated from the noise. And the staff, very excellent and friendly, specially Gloria. They were just so exception, making every guest feel at home.

Great location, not far from the airport and a quick boda-boda ride into town. Nice room with lovely balcony view over the garden and to Lake Victoria beyond. Very friendly and helpful staff, including Lillian, Gloria, Lydia, Leah and Vincent. Vincent picked me up from the airport and took me back, walking as far as he could with me after parking the car, all included in the price. Very nice breakfast every morning. Faze 3 restaurant 5 minutes walk away, with good menu, and outside dining area looking out on the lake. A very nice place to stay at a reasonable price. Would recommend Ismal for boda-boda taxi rides to town. He is a very safe and careful rider. Lillian has his mobile number.

Water pressure relatively low, but easy to work around, and plentiful hot water available day and night.

Gloria was absolutely lovely! We only stayed for an evening before a very early flight but she was very attentive and extremely friendly and welcoming! Nice view from our balcony of the lake. Big en suite bathroom + good mosquito net

Shower hot water was a bit temperamental. Bed wasn't the comfiest but it was satisfactory for the time we slept there
