Very charming hotel. You can tell it is a little bit old, but it has been updated and is fairly modern. The room had a window that overlooked a nice outdoor market (held several days per week). The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but tasty (bread, croissants, coffee, and orange juice). Overall, I would definitely return to stay there again. The town of Cabourg is very charming, and the people are friendly.

When I made the booking, the hotel information said to alert the staff if you're "corpulent" (overweight). I didn't think much of this, but when I got to my room, I found out I am indeed, corpulent. The room had a modern shower that had been recently renovated, but the opening to the shower was fairly narrow (about 12" wide). Let's just say, it was kind of tricky to get in and out of the shower through the narrow opening. But I liked my room so much, I decided not to ask for a different room. I managed and was happy I kept the room I had.

The bathroom (room 110) was clean and modern. There was both a fixed shower head and a flexible one. I like a chamomile tea before bed, there was no kettle in the room but the bar was happy to fill my cup with boiling water. I liked the terrace.

The decor was a bit tired but not a problem.

We liked everything: location was great. Room, bedlinen, towels all clean. Towels cleaned daily. Staff at breakfast keen to ensure we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was well shuttered. Free Parking.

Hotel was of a traditional type and construction with narrow passage ways and doors. Soon got used to it! Nothing stood out as not to like overall.

The service staff was very punctual, and you were able to communicate your needs and once to them with no problem.

Being charged for breakfast coffee for breakfast in itself.

The hotel was near the main restaurant street but far enough to be quiet.

There was nothing in particular that I did not like but I felt it was overpriced for the facilities and decor.

Fortunately my stay was for just one night and it didn’t cost much.

The property is a rabbit warren and everything about my room was rather tired. No one there to meet on arrival. Restaurant was closed and breakfast was late and very frugal.
