The staffs are very polite. The room was exchanged for a room which has no smell of cigarettes.
We left the room around 9 AM, left the room-service sign inside, room door LOCKED. When we returned in the evening around 6:30 PM, found the room cleaning was incomplete and the room door was AJAR for the whole day. Luckily, nothing is missing from our belongings.The front desk could not give us any explanation of this incident except saying sorry. The rooms are dated and in much worst condition than the what shown in the hotel website. We have confirmed with the staffs that no room looks like those on the website. The first room had smell of cigarettes even though asked for non-smoking room.

The staff were super nice.
You have to have a vehicle to access the hotel. It's too hard to get there otherwise. The Onsen is only open between 6am and 10 am and 1500 to 2300. There is no other activities to do. Breakfast buffet is 3200 JPY and Dinner 8000 JPY. Between those two meals there is no Cafe, Restaurant or food available. Not even a vending machine. Although they mentioned rebranding, it hasn't had any upkeep or upgrade for at least a decade. Hugely disappointing.
