Took a bit to get there, way out of the way, which was the point. Just happened to be very hot (for us) that weekend (humid mid-90s) and there was no AC anywhere. We survived cheerfully and made strategic use of the room fans. The lake was awesome and became a huge help in cooling down. We loved all of the close hikes and trails. We never got bored or lacked something to do. Great location, great food, and great company. We ate breakfast and dinner at the lodge (both were wonderful), had lunch at Dino's, and dinner at the Salmon place down the road (which were also delicious). Beautiful lake view from our room and we also loved sitting in the lawn chairs at the main lodge every evening enjoying the quite atmosphere of a historic landmark.

It didn't detract from our experience, but others may want to note: No AC (this was particularly uncomfortable in the restaurants and when trying to sleep). There are no elevators in the building we stayed in, stairs or ramp to the 3rd floor. No phone in the room to call the front desk. Spotty cell service outside of the immediate lodge area (at least for us). A bit of a struggle to find close parking, but we made do and it wasn't a huge deal. Might be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Lake Quinault Lodge is in a great location — right by the lake with adorable views and a very peaceful atmosphere. The setting is definitely the highlight, with easy access to nearby trails and nature. The rooms were clean and the overall experience was comfortable. One thing to note: there’s no cellular service and no free Wi-Fi, which made things a bit difficult since we needed to take work calls. However, the paid Wi-Fi worked well enough and ended up being a good solution. A solid stop for relaxing and enjoying the scenery — just plan ahead if you need to stay connected.

Breakfast wasn’t tasty. I wish there had been more information about the lack of cellular service and Wi-Fi beforehand.

Breakfast at the Lodge was very tasty and the setting was gorgeous with huge windows to view the lake and forrest. There were lots of hiking trails of various levels including one to see the largest spruce tree! It snowed the night before we did that hike and everything was frosty white and glinting in the sunlight… my whole family thought it was pretty fun and magical. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and sauna and games/puzzles in the Lodge, which was warm and cozy and very comfortable with a fire in the huge fireplace. We will definitely visit again.

Although the radiator was a nice touch and worked really well, it took a little fiddling the first night to get the room cooled down to where it was comfortable. However, after that it was handy to dry damp gloves and boots after playing in the snow.

I rarely write reviews of hotels I stay in, but this time I felt compelled. In the days leading up to my stay, I had read terrible things about this lodge, and I confess that my wife and I were a little worried. I'm writing to say that we actually had a wonderful time. The property is stunning, in a stunning location, the rooms aren't as small as some people say, they're not dirty, and we ate very well. The internet is free for 90 minutes, but we're on vacation, it’s a good thing! According to me: this is the real american lodging experience!

A beautiful and historical lodge, right in the middle of the Olympic National forest, what’s not to love? Our room was cozy and simple and looked out onto the lake which was gorgeous. The lobby was even more cozy and with the big fire blazing on a cold day, and being to grab a cocktail and hangout on a big comfy couch and do a puzzle…AND no cell reception, it was perfection! The staff, especially the bartender while we were there, was vey welcoming and laid back. This lodge experience was everything we wanted.

I have no complaints about this place, it was wonderful. The only thing that would make it even better would be a hot tub! If they make this happen then I’m never going to leave.

The location in the Quinault Forest is breathtaking and the historic lodge is a perfect place to slow down and unwind. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable. We loved being able to step out the door and be on hiking trails. It was also nice to unwind in front of the fire in the main lodge.

This place is not cheap for the type of amenities offered. For example, Breakfast is not included and is pricey.; the charge for WiFi is insane - $16/day and there is no housekeeping service unless you are there for more than 5 days. If you want anything you need to see the front desk attendant since there are no phones. The staff were not the friendliest with the exception of the restaurant staff who were wonderful. The hotel restaurant one of few around and they price accordingly because they know you have limited options. Also, there is no vegetarian option on the menu other than salad.

Beautiful, rustic lodge in an idealic setting, right next to the lake with a beach, grassy lawn with games, and a spectacular view. There were hiking/walking trails right off the property, including the rainforest walk and largest spruce tree. The lodge itself was cozy and rustic, and you could feel the history of the place. Great pizzas and beer on tap. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but it was a bit too 'rustic' for my taste, as it was lacking some basic comforts.

The rooms were a bit small, and due to the age fo the building, you could hear through the walls. We were there in the hot summer, and no A/C was brutal. Also, virtually no WiFi (guests were limited to 30mins a day, but only one session was allowed, so once a day if you need to access the internet, you have to plan ahead and use it wisely). The food was just ok, and overpriced for the quality. The staff were fine - I would describe it as 'good enough', but no one seemed to be over-the-top friendly or helpful.

The room was dusty. Also, would recommend using fitted Sheets on mattress. Using flat sheets that are not a size larger then the bed doesn't stay on very long when you move around a lot at night. When I dropped a bottle on the floor, When picking it up it was covered in dust and dirt. It was a little gross but other then that the room and amenities were great.

The location was absolutely amazing, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They provided great suggestions for activities to do in the area, and showed lots of love and enthusiasm for Lake Quinault. I loved the main lobby area. There's a big fireplace surrounded by comfy couches and chairs, with board games like chess and connect four laid out for guests to play. The atmosphere there was so peaceful and relaxing, I wish I could've stayed longer!

Everything was so nice, I only really have two small nit-picky suggestions for the rooms. We stayed in one of the Lakeside rooms and there wasn't a soap dish on the sink area, which would've been nice to have to store the bar of soap provided, and maybe having a complementary box of tissues in the room (but there's a small convenience store across the street to grab one yourself, so not a big deal at all).

The food in the restaurant was wonderful. I enjoyed salmon at dinner one night--moist and delicious! I loved the Logger's breakfast--tasty, flakey biscuits. And, great coffee! The staff is always pleasant, and just sitting in the lodge lobby is wonderfully relaxing.

I was disappointed that the sauna in the women's area was not working. I was disappointed that the women's changing room at the swimming pool was out of order. Also, there were no towels to use at the swimming pool and I was told by the front desk to just use one from my room--not as much cache as I'm accustomed to at the lodge.
