The wind brought me to this Raid, and I found a real gem. Close to the Main Street but placed in the beautiful small streets, surrounded by children’s laughter, the warm hearted, caring staff will open the door and makes this place a home. The view from the Terrasse is amazing, as well as chilling in the little garden. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and have everything that is needed. Omar, the host, is extraordinary. What a beautiful soul, what an amazing guide, I am deeply touched by his hospitality. Halima with her big beautiful smile. And also Asaad, thank you all so very much for making my time in Zagora so special. I also can really recommend to do a trip to the desert with Omar. We went with him, a driver and an incredible good cook for 4 days and it was just breathtaking. All of them coming from the desert, they know so well, and we went to see and be at incredible places far away from mainstream tourism. They take care of everything, I just felt so safe, and all of them own a big heart and gentle soul. I discovered silence and emptiness in a new way. I am deeply inspired and grateful.

I had been through a traumatic experience before I arrived and was feeling very vulnerable and frightened. As a single woman travelling alone, as soon as I arrived at the accommodation, I immediately felt safe. The staff couldn’t do enough for me and went above and beyond helping me with any needs I had. I only had to ask them for advice on how I could get data etc and not only did they advise me, they actually took me to get everything that I needed, totally unaware of what I had just experienced. I was scared to leave my room at first and the thought of leaving the property to get what I needed sent me into panic attacks, without me needing to ask, them taking me is something that will stay in my heart forever. This place restored my faith in humanity again 🙏🏾 with a beautiful garden, delicious food, I will definitely be returning here again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to stay with you and most importantly, for giving me a safe place. I love everything about this place and would 100 recommend it to anyone. room was nice, plenty of hot water and the drain actually worked which is pretty rare as Moroccan riads go. air conditioning and a big bed, friendly staff. good value overLl

wifi signal is basically useless, it's one router way at the back that doesn't reach the rooms. you can barely load a Google search, let alone stream anything or work, you're basically forced to use a mobile hotspot to load any web page in less than 20 minutes, and it constantly drops and disconnects. I wouldn't make a big deal about it except the listing on booking mentions "High speed internet" and thats simply not true, so digital nomads take note

The hotel in the truest sense, with traditional rooms and a beautiful courtyard full of greenery. Omar is great and helpful with everything you’ll need, from dinner to planning trips. Breakfast was very good. Wi-Fi worked fine. The price of the accommodation was in line with the quality.

The room was quite dark, with burnt-out bulbs in the bedside lamps, so at night we had to use our phones for light. The shower and bathroom could use an update. There is a lack of a shelf for luggage.

Excellent stay! The Riad is very nice and cozy, everything was clean, and we had everything we needed. Without a doubt, a great choice. However, the best part of the Riad was definitely Omar. He welcomed us warmly and helped us plan all the activities in the area. We booked the desert experience with him, and it allowed us to have a real, flexible adventure in non-touristy areas. If we return to Morocco, we will definitely visit Omar again. Inshallah.

We were staying in the Riad Dar Zaouia for one night and it was short but really nice stay. Omar is absolutely amazing host. He greeted us with tea, he was really kind and organized us trip to Erg Chigaga. It was lifetime experience, one of most beautiful in my life. There was no problem with keeping out luggage during our stay at the desert or with shower when we came back (even it was after our stay). Riad is really beautiful and cozy. Meals are great - I recommend to take dinner at the Riad. Thank you Omar and I hope to see you again!

Everything. The location is good, the food was amazing, the place is just stunning. The best part of the stay was Omar: with its kindness and availability he really made us feel welcomed in this riad. He organised for us an overnight trip in the desert and we couldn't ask for anything better. It was the best experience of my life. I recommend it 100%

If there is a host who will take an extra mile for his guests than that is Omar. He made us feel extremely welcome at his Riad - as he said, please feel like home. From home cooked dinners and breakfast to dessert excursion planning and even teaching our children how to weave a camel from palm tree leafs. Thank you for being a so kind.

The Riad dar Zaouia, with its exotic charm, is an oasis within the oasis of Zagora. The rooms overlook a delightful garden and the palm trees sway in the wind while the birds sing incessantly. But what makes this Riad truly special is Omar: his kindness, his constant attention, has the ability to make you feel welcomed as in the home of a sultan. Omar is a man of the desert and there is no better guide to venture through the sand dunes. I was lucky enough to live with him, with his brother Mohamed and with Mubarak, a great chef, a splendid 4-day adventure in the Sahara, outside the tourist circuits. Every evening the tent is pitched and succulent dishes are cooked before gazing in ecstasy at the endless spectacle of the stars. If you want to go on a tour in the desert, you absolutely must do it with Omar - who also speaks English, French and Spanish - you will be happy, safe and you will live an unforgettable experience. And the best starting point is the Riad dar Zaouia where you will also find Assad, the owner, a cultured person who loves to travel and chat with his guests. The staff and owners were chill, accommodating and friendly. We received recommendations on where to eat and park. Breakfast was very good. The garden is extremely beautiful. We were able to wash clothes and air dry them.

Wi-Fi did not work that well during the day. A lot of flies everywhere, especially during breakfast, as it was date harvesting season.
