We had a great stay at Hotel Koorawatha. We were welcomed warmly by the hotel owner and the locals in the pub on the first floor. We had a wonderful evening, playing pool, taking part in raffles, and enjoying a decent steak and schnitzel. The hotel veranda is ideal for a sunrise coffee or a sunset drink and offers great views (we did both). The rooms are basic, but clean and has an electric blanket for the colder nights. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to put a quick meal together as well. Overall, it was as good as it gets for the money that you pay and we would definitely visit again.

It's in a small town on the main highway. It was a cold night and the room had an oil filled heater and electric blankets and was fitted with a cooling AC unit when required. It is a very old pub that has a great history like the town. The locals are friendly and the pub staff are great. The attention to smaller detail of making the hotel a place to want to go to is very impressive.  The hotel residents' area, especially the kitchen, had everything required to live there if you wanted. This hotel is a hidden gem. Omg the hot water is fast coming through with plenty of water. The bathrooms and toilets were spotless and well setup to make you feel at home. The bed was so cosy and warm I did not want to get out of it this morning.  The stairs to accommodation is a bit challenging for knees but great for building up your glutes. A lot of effort has been put into this old pub and it is well respected and liked by all I saw at the place including, residents, locals and tourist. Well done and it is a great place to visit and stay. Being in a small country town in does have limited open hours. Ohhh the food was absolutely brilliant.  it was like real home cooked meals which even the locals were lining up for the daily special.

The staff were really amazing and friendly, made you feel very comfortable. The rooms were clean and the balcony was beautiful. Myself and a friend both ordered steaks too which were really good. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The only thing I could say was that we had breakfast included, but was unable to get it due to the downstairs being locked it appeared like it was closed on a Monday ( we stayed on a Sunday night). However that wasn’t the be all and end all for us, we would definitely still stay there again!

A warm welcome from Heidi to a typical country pub. There's a simple but decent food selection available and the added option of a separate kitchen for residents should they prefer to cook. Rooms are simple but pleasant..shared bathroom (one with no lock sadly) and loads of space on the upstairs veranda to relax. Basic brekkie provisions also provided for guests. Hotel Koorawatha is a fab basic overnighter. Cheap but very cheerful.. nothing flash but perfect on a roadtrip.

Great place, comfortable, cozy, thoughtful , clean, had everything we could have wanted. Staff were very friendly, classic old pub, beautifully presented, electric blankets on beds, blankets on verandah to sit out there comfortable, $14 cocktails. We had a very enjoyable stay.

It’s a shame the town seems to be dying and almost no other businesses in town but we had a nice walk to the waterfall.

I travel often for work and usually stay in pub rooms due to their low pricing. This room was by far the most comfortable I’ve stayed in. It had electric blankets as well as a ceiling fan neither are usually included in the rooms I usually stayed in. The bathroom up the hall had excellent water pressure as well as a bath! There wasn’t excessive noise from downstairs and the locals were friendly.

Nothing, I will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I love staying at old country pubs. and this was no exception. Cheap, clean, friendly and providing everything we need, including a counter tea so we didn't have to go looking for a restaurant.... a real bonus after a long day of travelling.

There wasn't anything to complain about with our stay. It was exactly as we expected... and breakfast facilities were great , providing everything we needed.... adjacent to our bedroom.

The old pub had a lot of character, sitting on the upstairs verandah and watching the sun set was truly memorable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was large and clean with a comfy bed and AC and dinner at the bistro was very good and reasonable. Plenty of food to choose from for breakfast and good cooking facilities if you wanted to bring your own food to cook for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Being a pub and being upstairs above the bar, there is some noise to put up with even with the window closed and the AC on. In all fairness, It was a Friday night, and closing time is late. What made it worse, was some other guests arrived quite late like after midnight and it was very noisy to the point where I got up, had to tell them to be quiet. I think they felt there was no one else staying there! The shared bathroom is adequate but in keeping with the age of the pub.

It’s heritage, the local people are friendly, neat and clean and price is firm.

Everything is good except the hot water tap in the shower on the left side , the knob is so hot that I couldn’t close it it will burn my hand so tried to grab my shirt on the bench to close it.

Last minute booking so we booked whatever we got. It is a pub with some rooms upstairs. The room itself is big with 4 beds. The room was good size and clean. Breakfast is included and the kitchen has gas stove, fridge and cereals.

Nothing to dislike but the bathrooms are separate (just outside our room) so you won't get the privacy that an ensuite would give.
