This was our second stay at High Country Inn. The first time we stayed in the "suite" with kitchen area, living area and separate bedroom. This time we were in a basic room, but it was perfectly adequate for our overnight needs (although I would have liked more lighting). Office staff is very friendly. This is a solid, affordable choice if you are in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area and don't need a lot of frills. There is a gas station across the street, but few other amenities in walking distance -- though there is a barbecue/picnic area at the back with a creek nearby.

Very friendly lady in the office. Answered all my questions and went out of her way to guide us to places to eat. Bed was as good as any I have slept on in motels and the room was very clean. Price was good, especially when compared to what the other places in the area were asking.

The place looked old when we drove in but the inside of the room was nice. Door to the room stuck very badly and almost had to use your shoulder to open it.

The bathroom and bedding were absolutely spotless - very impressed. The bathroom also looked as if it had been renovated. It was quiet during our stay (shoulder season). Room definitely large enough for an extended stay, but we were only there for 1 night. Host was friendly. Also appreciated the password-protected internet connection.

A few things need to be fixed (forgot to mention to host): Blinds in the living area did not close. Since our room was next to the fire pit, this would have been bad if it had been high season (when folks most likely would have been enjoying that). Smoke alarm seems a little wonky (patched with tape). A little pricey for what we usually pay, but that area is not cheap and this was the most affordable.

We were pleasantly surprised! Perfect for our needs. The place was very clean, modestly furnished, had a mid-sized frig/freezer! They also had a coffee pot, TV, A/C, parking in front of the room. Quiet location even though right on the highway.

A fan in the room would be nice. There was A/C, but air movement is optimum. The bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but they were fine.

Huge room with very comfortable beds. Excellent shower with good pressure, Great price easy parking easy to find, good temperature control with heat or air conditioning. Fridge and microwave and coffee pot were in room.

Pillows were weak. My only complaint was the fridge which was great to have until at 3 am when it sounded like a jet taking off!

The rooms, although older, were very well maintained and very clean. It was quiet and easily accessible. The staff were excellent at keeping us informed both by text and phone, making sure all was ready for us.

I did not find anything to complain about. If we need to stay in the area again we will definitely stay here again.

Great location. Nice cabin feel. We were running late, notified the hotel, and the person stayed to check us in at 8:30 pm.

It didnt have a hair dryer. A firmer bed would have been better.

Great for the price! Was comfortable and had every you need (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tv). It’s not fancy by any means but it was much better than expected.

Yes, it’s a motel so facilities are very basic, but you do get a clean room and everything is in working order. Moreover, the owner, Olga, is amazing! Any issue we had, she went out of her way to solve for us. That by itself made the stay great and what designates this motel from others.

The motel is well kept and nicely decorated with lots of flowers. Bonus was a full size refrigerator in the room.

The only problem we had was the room had 2 beds and they were close against the wall so it was difficult to get in and out of the side near the wall.
