A few kilometres outside St Valery sur Somme, this is a lovely property, with plenty of parking (and a secure remote-controlled gate). The owners are very welcoming and friendly - they certainly went above and beyond when I woke up to a deflated car tyre on the first morning, re-inflating it for me and ensuring that I knew how to get to the local garage. The room (separate from the owners' house) was spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable. The shower was fun, with optional side jets and integrated radio! A small kitchen area was equipped with a kettle, fridge, and microwave, glasses and mugs. Breakfast was served in the conservatory of the owners' house, and was copious, with baguette, home-made cake and yogurt, jams, fruit juice and choice of hot drinks. Friendly conversation over breakfast, with the hosts and the other guests made a good start to the day.

Minor point - although a microwave is provided, there is no cutlery or plates in the room, which would have been useful. Having said that, I'm sure that the host would have been happy to provide them had I asked!

The breakfast was homemade and really nice. The room was clean and there was a nice garden where you could have a nice seat to read a book or play a game. The owners were really friendly.

Sometimes it was bit hard to communicate because we don’t speak French, the owners did try their best to communicate with us despite the language barrier.

Perfect location to access main attractions. Easy to park, great host, homemade cake for breakfast, water bottles provided upon arrival, good size room and shower.

We booked through Booking.com and included that we were traveling with our 4-year-old child. The listing only showed a short line saying children weren’t allowed, which we didn’t notice — and there was no warning before arrival. When we got there, the host told us the room was for 2 people only. We explained we had booked for 3. She said “come in, we’ll talk,” so we went in, unpacked everything, and settled into the room. About 30 minutes later, after calling Booking, the host told us we had to leave. It was just for one night, but we were asked to leave in the evening with our child. We had to reload all our luggage and drive off without a place to go. On top of that, the host charged the full amount and didn’t allow cancellation or even a partial refund. We’re very disappointed. Even if there was a rule, some understanding and kindness would’ve gone a long way.
