We almost didn’t stay here as some reviews were a bit negative but we’re so glad we did. From the outset the staff were lovely and allowed us an early check-in. The room was characterful and huge & the bathroom was beautifully renovated and the big bath was nice to relax in. The bed was full really comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the beautifully manicured gardens and my husband did the castle tour which he found really interesting. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant and found the prices reasonable, comparable to Pilsen & Prague. The breakfast was also very good, plenty to choose from on the buffet. Easy 45 minute drive to the airport, we were really happy we’d chosen to stay here for a last night in Europe, away from the crowds and somewhere peaceful and welcoming.

We would have liked to use the spa but found it a little expensive as an add-on for an hour but it looks lovely and understand you have exclusive use. If ur budget wasn’t running dry from our travels we would have definitely tried it.

The building and surroundings are simply stunning, the interior and rooms are tastefully decorated to match the Chateau. The pool and wellness area were also amazing and that alone would have made the stay worth it. The staff were very friendly.

Considering Chateau Zbiroh is a 5 star hotel we expected the food in the restaurant to match the surroundings, however unfortunately this was not to be. Don't get me wrong there was nothing wrong with the food, it was perfectly edible, tasty and reasonably priced, but both the food and wine were just average. The sort of food you might expect from a tourist pub but not worthy of a Chateau. We had much better food in a small cheap restaurant at the side of the road in Stříbrná Skalice. We also had infinitely better food in a small reasonably priced restaurant behind our hotel in Prague and unfortunately the food in Chateau Zbiroh paled into comparison. This is a real shame because if the food had been considerably better it would have made our stay exceptional. instead it was only good.

The place itself is breathtaking Everything was perfect - the rooms are gorgeous, my room has a view of a vineyard, very comfortable and high quality. The breakfast has a nice selection and everything is of great quality, coffee is tasty. Had a massage that was very pleasant.

Friendly staff, charming, cozy room. Double sinks in the bathroom, only a deep tub with handheld shower option. Extremely clean. Dinner was good as was breakfast. Fantastic view from the top of the mountain, it’s on a hill. We were traveling by bicycle and there was secure parking in the courtyard ( bring your own lock). We enjoyed our stay and would return.

The room was surprisingly cozy given its location in a large chateau. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location and views are truly unique. Breakfast in the castle tavern was tasty and had nice variety. We didn't try the spa facilities, but they were available with advance notice, and the organized tour of the chateau was informative. Lots of cycling and hiking options nearby.

Amazing food! Lot of history to learn from Martin! Amazing staff that really make you feel you are living centuries ago in this amazing palace.

Nice castle on hilltop, very romantic. Clean and proper rooms, good breakfast.

No shower in bathroom, just a bathtub.

Location - the hotel is in the chateau, which makes it very very unique. Fantastic SPA with absolute privacy (have to be booked in advanced).

Absolutely beautiful property with an amazing history. Such a privilege to stay in this beautiful castle. Staff were very accommodating!

My only wish would be to have a stand up shower.

Very helpful staff, nice room, great wellness (private) for additional 500,- CZK per person, very good restaurant at the place adn overally wonderful environment. Breakfast offers pretty much anything you ordinarily eat.

The room has a high ceiling and therefore was cold.
