Albatross Hotel truly makes you feel like you're staying at your own summer house. The rooms are very clean, and everything works perfectly. The owner, George, is an extremely friendly person; he approaches situations with a solution-oriented mindset and tries to help as much as he can. The beaches near the hotel offer an amazingly refreshing sea. Being within walking distance of the region's best bakery for breakfast is a great advantage. Additionally, right in front of the hotel, there's a grocery store run by another very friendly owner, offering more affordable prices than other places. By the way, for those who will come to Samos for the first time; If you only plan to visit Pithagorion, Marathokampos, and Ormos, taking a taxi might be more affordable than renting a car. However, if you intend to explore the entire island, we strongly recommend renting your car at least a week in advance. Otherwise, you might face very high prices or even be unable to find a car.

Because it is in touch with nature, there may be mosquitoes at night. A fly repellent tablet is plugged into the socket, but it may not be enough. Be sure to carry a fly repellent spray with you that can be applied to the skin. Also, the third bed in the triple room was a little uncomfortable. It does not interfere with sleep, but it can be improved.

What a wonderful place! Albatross is located very close to the sea, supermarkets, tavernas yet a tiny bit outside the busy main road that makes the stay very calm. The property is sparkling clean, and the owners are very welcoming people who go ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure you have an enjoyable and a stress-free holiday. Anything you need - just ask George and he will be there to advise and to help. The swimming pool is very clean and usually not busy at all, so there is plenty of space for all the guests to enjoy it and relax. The rooms are very comfortable, have anything one needs during a holiday and more; the bedding and the towels are changed frequently. The yard has lots of greenery and is very well-kept; the property also has a small playground for smaller children which was greatly appreciated. I warmly recommend staying at Albatross and will definitely be back. P.S. Do yourself a favour and visit a great taverna "Kevin's restaurant" nearby.

This was our third summer at Albatross. It exceeded our expectations in every way again as always. This year the kitchen area had been renewed and there were new pots and pans and a new electric stove. We were again greeted with local beer waiting for us in the fridge. The owners are wonderful. George and his father are very attentive and knowledgeable, they always help us with any question we may have and recommend us great places to see around the area. The place is maintained very well and the rooms are impeccably clean. The location is perfect, with the beach only steps away and many great restaurant options within walking distance. Marathokampos is one the best areas to spend your vacation and Albatross has become our home away from home now. My family and I always look forward to going back every summer and we feel very lucky that our paths have crossed with these wonderful people.

We liked everything.

This was our second summer at Albatross. It's a great place to come back to every summer with family and friends. The beach is right across the road and there are really good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. The pool is always clean and great for relaxation before or after beach time. The owners are very nice and friendly and always available if you need help with anything. Their hospitality is another reason to come back here every summer. We were again greeted with local beer in the fridge as a welcome gift upon our arrival. Overall, I would highly recommend Albatross for a fun and relaxing holiday.

There was nothing we didn't like.

simple but very cozy family hotel. the host allowed us to check in in the morning, cold water and beer were prepared in the room for welcome. the environment is very green, many flowers, so you can find shade. perfectly cleaned and maintained swimming pool, where the children swam every day. there are few people at the pool, sometimes we were all alone. the sea is a few steps away, two small supermarkets are nearby. true, there weren't many dishes in the kitchen, but they were enough to prepare simple meals. the mood of the resort itself is calm, relaxed. everyone is very nice. we will definitely go back there.

George is a wonderful host, together with his family he made a green oase in the middle of the village. It's one of the most beautifull places we have been around Greece because of the care they take, the colors they added,t he beautifull garden, lovely pool and nice conversations. They have nice tips about the island and take care of evertyhing. We are looking forward to return, can't wait! We travelled with our one year old and the family made us feel very welcome, they loved our daughter and she was so at easy and relaxed. Thanks a million!

George was very friendly and he helped us for various things like taxi and finding a rental car. Location was also great. A bit far from busiest part of that coast which was good as it was silent to rest at night. It is still close to sea and nice beach restaurants. Pool was also nice and clean.

The room we stayed was a bit old. Bathrooms and kitchen needs some renovation. George told us that renovations are in planning but costly so takes time. Some other rooms were renovated already.

My family and I stayed at Albatross for two weeks in June and July. The apartment we booked was ideal for our group of five (three adults and two kids aged 6 and 12). The kitchen and the kitchenette had all the basic amenities one might need to make simple meals. The apartment itself was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Our porch was overlooking a beautiful garden. We enjoyed having breakfast outside every morning and were able to keep an eye on the youngest member of our family while she enjoyed her time on the swings located near the entrance. I can't say enough about the staff and the owners. They were all very helpful and friendly, which made our stay very special. Mr Manolis recommended us a great restaurant within walking distance where we had an amazing meal and shared useful tips on what to do and see around the island. The location is perfect. The hotel is very close to the main centre but is in a quiet neighbourhood away from the noise of the restaurants and bars. The beach is right across the road where you can find many cafes& restaurants conveniently offering sunbeds and umbrellas. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Albatross and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

We liked everything.

If you are new to Samos, this aparthotel is located on the far side of the island, away from the two main cities Vathy and Pythagoreio. A car rental is necessary to get to Marathokampos as well as if you would like to travel around the island. There is free, on-street parking at this hotel. In this small seaside village, this aparthotel is very conveniently located close to the beach, with lots of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores within walking distance. The complex is quiet and peaceful. The complex has only a few rooms, most of them overlooking the courtyard with the small swimming pool. My kid enjoyed swimming in the pool even after a long day at the beach. The courtyard has a lot of trees, but thankfully not too many bugs or mosquitoes in the room. Our room was on the ground floor with two doors opening out onto the balcony. We had two cat visitors during our stay who wanted to come into the room if the doors were open, but they were well-behaved and mostly stayed outside when we told them so. Our room was fairly large and equipped with a kitchen. We had breakfast on the balcony with mostly store-bought stuff, like milk, cereal and yogurt. The set-up of the kitchen could handle that, but honestly, I don't see it would be possible to cook anything more elaborate, maybe pasta with sauce from a jar. The owners were super kind. They communicated with us before hand on booking.com and sent us directions. On our four-night stay, our towels were changed and the room was cleaned once. The A/C is not included in the price, but we did not have to use it at all, it was balmy and sometimes even chilly at night in the middle of August.

The furniture in the rooms show their age but they are clean and functional. My only real complaint is that one of the beds in the room was super hard and stiff, probably because it was very old

By chance I apparently stayed at maybe one of the nicest guesthouses in Greece. Georgis the owner and his dad are the nicest people and staying there for the night turned into a friendship. You can clearly see they actually love what they are doing and aren't just in it for the money. The garden is thriving, the houses are beautifully painted and the whole vibe just resembles an oasis in an otherwise dull little town. This is my new home whenever I visit Samos.
