The property is located just behind the bus station so perfect if you are getting the bus to and from San Ignacio. Our room was big and perfect for our 2 night stay. We got the bus from here to xunantunich and it was easy to navigate the town. We also went to the sister hotel to use the pool after our bus journey to San Ignacio which was great while we waited for our room to be ready.

The laundry is expensive, at 10 USD for a smallish bag and we had about 3 bags worth of washing, but we decided to go to Martha’s laundrette and the same amount of laundry was 14USD in total. And it was done by 1pm

This was such a lovely place to stay in San Ignacio. It actually exceeded our expectations especially for this price. The location is the best you can get. You're on a main strip with great cafes and bars, walkable to everything. This being said it was not loud at ALL. We found San Ignacio was a sleepy town so everything died down by 9pm latest. The room was big, had a huge comfy bed, good desk and great shower which had hot water. It also had icey cold aircon which we couldn't believe in Belize. The wifi was excellent which was really important to us as we were working. On our days off we visited the butterfly farm (which you can do for free with Venus Hotels), walked to the Belize Raptor Centre (trust me do the walk and then hitchike back) and visited the Belize Zoo/conservation centre. Would happily stay again.

It was great!

Right in the heart of downtown San Ignacio. Easy access to restaurants and transportation. Great if you need to meet up with an early morning tour. Bed was very comfortable. Great shower. It was nice having a kitchenette for a longer stay.

I had repeated trouble with the door lock. Took multiple tries to ensure it locked. Some nights there was loud music in the square behind the hotel until late. It could make going to sleep early difficult. Be prepared to carry your luggage up and down several flights of stairs.

I really appreciate venus manager in clarifying the mis understanding we had and. gave me a far more comfortable suite that i truly love and that makes the big difference. In our stay junior suite. It was excellent.

I can only speak good about venus after all they gave me a junior suite by paying the difference and this to me covers all the issues we had before.venus caters for different sizes of wallet .

Really spacious apartment and huge, comfortable bed. There were two TVs with working Netflix etc. The apartment had everything you need to cook basic meals and breakfast. Good location in the centre of San Ignacio. They can organise tours for you at reception and we were happy with the service.

Very small thing but a soap dish in the bathroom would be a great addition! No restaurant or breakfast but plenty of places to eat nearby.

Location of this hotel is awesome if you want to be in easy walking distance of all things in San Ignacio which has a fairly concentrated main street. The staff was also wonderful - shout out to Ismael for all the recommendations and helpfulness! Loved the microwave available for use and even the fridge if you ask. Really liked the balcony looking overlooking the city and jungle - highly recommend checking out sunrise! Also free parking if you have a car which is a bonus.

Rooms are definitely a bit small; especially rooms with multiple beds & are not updated. However, I would prefer a lower price and fewer fancy paintings and updates :) Bathroom toilet was really narrow and kind of awkward to get into. TV was clunky to use.

Location was great, and air conditioning was great, room was quiet. Shower was fine, sometimes took a while to get hot water.

Really the only downside was the bed. The mattress was comfortable, except that it sunk in the middle. It was dramatically lower in the middle than it was on the sides or the ends.

Location is perfect. Parking worked very good (if you do come past the parking at the bus station, park it there right away when going to the hotel). Staff very friendly and helpful.

Room is pretty basic and very small (almost can’t open suitcase small). Shower was okay but didn’t always work ideally (sometimes got cold very fast). We oftentimes had water behind the toilet that was coming towards the room, but we couldn’t figure out what it was (leaking or from outside for example). Towel was missing, but staff helped us out with that promptly. Some things were loose or broken (for example where you plug in electricity).

The Venus is a very solid, clean and safe hotel. It isn't the fanciest or most scenic but definitely checks the boxes. We only stayed overnight on our way to Tikal so we didn't really make use of the amenities of the hotel. Our room had 2 twin and a king size bed which worked for our family of 5. It also included a kitchenette with pots & pans, small fridge and a small dining table. Some of the rooms, including ours, opened up on a exterior hallway. There were places to sit and enjoy the view and breeze on the exterior hallways. The town's market is about a block away and there were a number of small local eating establishments right outside the hotel in the plaza. The Venus provided parking in a well lit parking lot next to the hotel. During the day there is an attendant. Didn't appear to be anyone there at night. Our rental car was fine and I didn't see anything occurring in the parking lot that gave me concern. San Ignacio's main soccer field was located next door and we watched a match from the exterior hallway. The hotel's reception desk sells water, pop and beer for reasonable prices. The Venus isn't the swankiest hotel but it is a solid, clean and well maintained. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for a longer time period.

We were driving a rental car and Google didn't quite get us to the Venus hotel or their parking lot. Google maps got us to within walking distance and the sign for the Venus wasn't as obvious as it could have been. But the reception desk easily directed us to the parking lot when I called them. But honestly, the issue of finding the hotel may be more operator error and being new to Belize than anything with the hotel. Just look closely for their sign.
