Breakfast was fine, no complaints, reasonable considering the price paid. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Helped me to order in food from a local restaurant for lunch as their own restaurant hadn't open yet. and even put it on a plate and gave me cutlery.

No AC or even a fan in the room. it was far too hot. Shower cubicles quite small, a large person may struggle.

With outside temperatures around 30 degrees, the lack of air conditioning was a negative point. Moreover, it is incomprehensible that there was not even a fan available! Let's be realistic: the earth is warming up, even in Germany!

The bed sheet and pillow is not smooth on the skin. No airconditioning, but my room was ok after opening completely the windows.

The hotel was excellent. Lene on reception was so helpful she went to so much trouble to book us a restaurant in the town which was quite hard as the Christmas Market was on, nothing was too much troble for her. A valued member of staff definitely an 11 out of 10 for her.

Friendly staff, excellent facilities, great breakfast, large comfortable room, great value! Walking distance to the christmas market. And to top it all off, we were able to charge our EV on site.

The rooms are a little outdated, but that’s definitely not a showstopper.

Very friendly staff, we arrived 2 hours before check in time and they prepared our room in 10 minutes. Good breakfast. Very spacious and clean room. Convinient location - in a quiet neighbourhood, 10 minutes walking to the old town.

Hattingen city maintains its charm. Serene atmosphere is liked.

Room tariff is higher as compared to similar hotels in France and Italy. Tariff needs to be revised and reduced.

The property is well situated in a surprisingly pretty town. the lady in reception was superb when 5 tired motorcyclists arrived. she sat us outside in the sun, got us a beer each and brought the registration documents out to fill in and sign. absolutely superb
