It's a great location a little outside of Aspen. Though we didn't use it, there is a free shuttle service that seems handy. Nice that there's a good BBQ restaurant on the property so no need to go elsewhere, at least for one meal! The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The lobby with the faux fireplace is very pleasant, and the view of the ski area behind the hotel is lovely.

Just a small complaint: the hallways are grey, bland, and enclosed and it's easy to get confused about where your room is. It felt a bit like an institution. The signage could be better, larger and more interesting as well..... The pool wasn't open, and some of the outdoor features like the small wall outside our back door were in terrible shape.

The shuttle they provided in town was quite convenient, so you didn't have to drive and find a parking space. Both drivers we had were great!

The first room they gave us was not what was pictured online. Although the rooms say they vary, this one was so outdated and some of the furniture needed to be retired. I went back to the front desk with my concern, they provided us with another room that was perfect, a contemporary feeling like the online photos show. There is only a BBQ restaurant there. Breakfast wasn't great, it would have been nice to have a small café where maybe you could get a matcha or expresso/latte and at least a pastry or bagel and bring it back to your room. Otherwise you have to get in your car to drive to town for breakfast.

The rooms were very nice. They had a concierge as you entered the hotel. They also had a shuttle that took you into town and back.

The property is located about a mile to a mile and a half outside of town right next to the airport. It was not within walking distance to anything. They also advertised breakfast from 8 to 1030 every morning in the elevator and at the restaurant, however they stopped doing that after Labor Day, but all the signs were still up. Had we known that we would’ve left a lot earlier than we did, but we were hanging around to have breakfast when there wasn’t any to be had.

The hotel is really great. The mountain is located behind the hotel, so we can easily ski or play in the snow. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent, offering great food and always friendly staff. Behind the hotel is Buttermilk Mountain, which has a full infrastructure for renting high-quality ski equipment, a restaurant with excellent food, and outstanding ski instructors. These instructors are very patient and attentive with students, never leaving them alone. I give a 10 out of 10 for the entire hotel and ski complex infrastructure.

They have a complimentary "on demand" shuttle that will take you and pick you up in town or to and from the airport. We never waited longer than 10-15 minutes. It is a wonderful perk for this property. All the drivers were friendly and helpful.

They do not have ice machines on every floor, so if you are not on the ground floor it is a bit of a hike to get ice. The property was undergoing some renovations and because of that their pool and spa were closed.

Great bar/restaurant and lovely the lobby with ski lockers for each room. The shuttle was fantastic (note-does not go to Snowmass) and really efficient! Fantastic location! Rooms were very clean.

Room was a great size but a little tired compared with the rest of the hotel. Mattress was awful so we didn’t really sleep well at all (creaking very loudly and excessive transmission of movement to the other sleeper). Some of the staff on the front desk could have perhaps been a little more outgoing and friendly. Need another person on at breakfast time in the restaurant as it was just one guy doing all the work (and another guy doing not very much!)

The Inn at Aspen has an exceptional location, responsive and informative Staff and Guest Services, including a well-designed ski locker/luggage storage area minimizing ski equipment cluttering Reception…separate egress for skiers coming/going..The immediate view of Buttermilk from the very comfortably furnished Lounge area is great..The drivers are expert, punctual, and take you anywhere..Home Team BBQ has a real treasure in Red the bartender, who remembered my name and orders (rare in just a 3 day stay)..The room was excellent..Hot tub positioned well looking up the mountain, bonus heated towels..Ample 24/7 coffee/tea/cider choices..

tub and sink drain plug/covers absent..minor oversight

We had a great stay here, on our way to Maroon Bells. There is a lot of history to this hotel. I was a little worried by some of the reviews, but we had a great room. We enjoyed the cotton robes so much, we bought two. The staff are very efficient and kind, we were able to check in a little early. There is a great BBQ restaurant on the premises. And the breakfast potatoes are the best I've eaten in years. There is a great area to sit out and watch the melting snow.

Nothing. All good.

Very friendly staff, very comfortable rooms--exceptional beds. Restaurant, very find meals.

The fridge had no shelves, inside or on the door, and the freezer door was frozen shut so we could not use it. On the last night, 9-23, we had an unexpected visitor. As my wife and I were watching TV, a mouse ran across the floor in front of us. We are farm and ranching people, so mice are not a big deal to us, but they shouldn't be in a guest room in a hotel. We noticed every time we entered the closest exit/entry door, below our room, the door was open. ?? Prices were high, but then this was Aspen so it's to be expected. But we enjoyed our stay.
