The staff were so friendly. The building and grounds are gorgeous. The complementary happy hour and breakfast were really nice.
Perhaps a larger assortment of breads at breakfast.

The hostel rooms are great value in Aspen terms. The hotel is very tidy, the staff friendly, the grounds and pool beautiful, the location quiet. Don't be put off by the idea of a hostel - it isn't like that, it's just having the shared bathroom that's different from a hotel room, and they're clean and well maintained. And speaking of value, Aspen has free bikes and buses everywhere, including close to the hotel, so it's really very convenient.
If you're in a cheap (or Aspen cheap) hostel room then you can't expect perfection. The rooms are pretty basic. But really, not bad at all.

This is a sweet little hotel/hostel with a very chill vibe. It is perfectly enough and the location, especially in the summer, is great. It's in a quiet neighborhood with direct views of Aspen mountain and directly on the Rio Grand trail. The beautiful front lawn and pool are peaceful and the perfect place to enjoy your breakfast or an afternoon picnic. This is not a fancy, stuffy hotel, and there will be no star sightings, but for some of us, that's actually for the better. Oh! There's also FREE PARKING for guests!
The walls are thin and in the summer all windows are open, so sounds travel easily. Everyone was very respectful, but don't expect to sleep in for very long. The shower head in our room was REALLY bad with very low water pressure.

I stayed at the hostel, which after being in Aspen for a few weeks turns out to be an amazing value for the money. Especially, since one can use the pool and breakfast for other guests. The staff is very friendly - I got talking to the receptionist for a while and she was so helpful in finding a good place for dinner that would not drain my wallet.
I mean, it's a hostel on the 3rd floor. So you're going to share the bathroom. As long as you know that, you'll be fine. Careful, there's no A/C in the summer - for me it was still ok it being 85 during the day and cooling down at night, but in August it may get hot under the roof.

We loved our stay at the St MoRITZ . The quaint chalet with a great breakfast and so many people to chat with in the morning. It’s a great vibe. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The snack and complimentary wine in the evening was a nice addition as well. The beds were comfortable and the rooms was clean and quiet. The pool and steam room were perfect to warm up in after a day on the slopes. The bus stop to the mountain was close and convenient for us if someone wanted to have a mellow morning and come up a bit later. Parking was easy and we even saw some elk on the property in the late night hours. We were there during the xgames so our rate was a bit higher then normal but I’m sure if we visited during a not so busy time you could snag a bargain. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Tom and crew for your hospitality and helping us feel right at home.
There wasn’t real anything I didn’t like. I would like to mention the staircases are narrow and if you have a lot of gear there aren’t elevators to get up but we had no problem getting everything to the room.

Delighted to find a clean, affordable option in downtown Aspen! The 2-twin beds were comfortable and the fridge made it easy to store drinks and munchies in the room. The shared bathroom down the hall (men's/women's) were spotless and the other guests were very considerate of each other. The outdoor pool was a great gathering space with tables, chairs, and chaise loungers. No, it's not the Little Nell or the Hotel Jerome--but we only need a comfy place to sleep and would hate paying the price for a high-end experience. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely hostel with private rooms, shared baths. Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, great staff, included breakfast is healthy and abundant .beautiful surrounding, pool, walk distance to all highlights, best value for money in aspen, highly recommended
Small Queen bed is really super small for 2, we will book a twin next time. Take good note to watch out for bears in the vicinity ( in autumn).

My wife and I stayed at the Saint Moritz for five days. The facility and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Our room had a small kitchenette with everything you need including dishes, silverware, glasses and even a corkscrew. When we checked in the staff was very friendly and welcoming. And the owner, who lives nearby, was also there. There is a nice (and heated) swimming pool and a very clean steam room. Each morning, before your daily hike, we enjoyed a very good, and healthy breakfast in a very comfortable dining area. There was coffee served in the lobby each morning at 6 AM. There was a happy hour each afternoon at 4:30. There is also a BBQ grill that the owner lights up in the evening, if you want to cook your own meal and eat in your room. Dining out in Aspen is expensive! We truly enjoyed our stay and have absolutely no complaints. We would definitely stay there again, without hesitation.

Very charming little hotel. Room was spacious and clean with a kitchen. Staff, seemed like possibly the owner were very friendly. Laundry in basement was convenient. Great value for one of the lowest rates available in Aspen.
Breakfast was bad, could have used less carbs and more real or hot food. The heated pool, while a lovely place to relax, could have been a few degrees warmer for more enjoyable soaking. It was lukewarm both times we tried it. The location is a tad far for walking to the slopes, I would instead recommend walking 2 blocks to main street and taking a free bus to any of the mountains, you can also take it from the airport.

All of the above--plus the great location in a quiet neighborhood, easy walking distance from great public transport and from all the action downtown. The staff was truly above and beyond: so welcoming, so kind, so helpful--truly a lovely group of people. Our room was awesome. I loved that we could open our windows for fresh air, that there was a desk to work on my computer--not to mention the cozy decor and the adorable tapestry of the hotel on the wall. And then there were the cookies and the wine . . . I didn't want to leave.
I have no suggestions. I just want to come back soon. How wonderful that the one affordable hotel we found in Aspen was also a terrific place! Just keep doing what you're doing! (If anyone DIDN'T like the Kamala signs, allow me to balance that person out. We were thrilled to see them, and it added to our sense of welcome at a terrifying juncture in our country.)
