Great position in the middle of town. Very old traditional style. Comfortable bedrooms. But the best thing was the staff. So friendly and welcoming. The morning after our stay we had a flat tyre and had to wait for rescue services for hours! The staff were so helpful and held back the last room for us should we need it. Which we did as the issue wasn’t resolved until 18.00, so too late for our next stop. Just fantastic service and everyone spoke perfect English. They served us coffee when they weren’t really open and were fantastic in hospitality.

I love the architecture of the building, the perfect location. Museum, park, restaurant, cafes you name it all with in reach. Lastly a secure car park

I was surprised to be charged for parking a motorcycle, as this was not made clear on Booking.com at the time of reservation. Furthermore, the space I occupied was minimal. It would be helpful if such information were communicated in advance, as it may influence a guest’s decision on where to stay. Many other hotels offer comparable facilities without such charges.

This is an excellent old hotel in the center of Landshut. The staff is excellent and extremely helpful from complicated questions to the most mundane. We left our rental car in Landshut and the staff arranged for airport transport at the ungodly hour of 3,30AM and the cab was on time and whisked us to the airport in record time. We were only here three nights and had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and the food and drink was excellent. Hotel dining can be a crapshoot but this restaurant is worth a visit.

We liked everything about the hotel. Would like to have stayed longer.

Conveniently located, easy checkin, elevator

The light switches on the walls were a little challenging as many seemed to be on an all or nothing option — all lights came on or off, and all lights dimmed or brightened together. It was difficult to control individual lights.

great room, perfect location and very friendly staff

the breakfast selection and quality was below my expecation for a 4-start property. Not much choices of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, salads... German Hotels are usually better in Breakfast

We were very pleased and glad at Goldene Sonne. Nice staff,...very good bregfast,...and our room "Theresa" super nice. We have booked another stay in a few days. Trausti Thor Gudmundsson and Anna Sigridur Markusdottir from Iceland.

The room was extremely hot as no air conditioning and the cooler fan in the room was of no use . It was unbearably hot but the hotel was wonderful and the staff at reception so delightful .

good bed, quite big clean room. Breakfast was quite basic, but tasty. Well worth of price (about 10e)

Lovely newly renovated hotel in the heart of one of Landshut's main streets. The room was large and clean, with warm heating and away from any road noise.

The location is great. Next to the bus stop that takes us to the train station and only a few steps away from the restos and coffee shops. The staff were excellent. We arrives a few hours before check in, after a sleepless night of travel and we were provided with a better room because ours wasn't ready yet. This was a great welcome. In addition, when Sarah at the reception heard that my phone charger stopped working, she lended me one. Everyone was very professional and friendly.

The bathroom was a bit snug, especially the shower and there was no room to put our bathroom stuff... But that wasn't a big deal.
