This was our 3rd stay at Peninsula. The service is exceptional and it's great value for money. This stay was during the 2024 student protests in Bangladesh. Despite the volatile situation in the country, the staff took great care of us. Upon my request, the hotel had arranged airport pickup for me and even accepted my request to make a stop within the city to pick up my wife. As the situation in the country had gotten worse, most of the rest of the hotel guests had left, and the hotel switched from the excellent buffet breakfast to an ala carte option. We had the ala carte breakfast only on the last day of our stay, which was also very good. During this stay, we had exclusively eaten from the 4 different restaurants in the hotel. They had a good mix of different cuisines, and we were able to order room service from all the different restaurants. It's a bit pricey than outside food, but the taste and quality are really good. It would be good of they could provide menus in the room for all the restaurants other than just the room service menu. Unfortunately, our stay got cut short as the situation in the country changed, and the hotel deemed that it was no longer safe for guests to stay in the hotel. The staff informed us that they had made bookings for us at the Radisson hotel for the rest of our stay. They deemed that Radisson was safer as it was owned by the Army. We were the last guests to leave the hotel, and we were transferred to Radisson in the middle of the night in a hotel vehicle. Even though our room in Radisson was nicer and the facilities were much grander, the service was of lower quality than Peninsula. In Peninsula, the waiters were very attentive during breakfast, but in Radisson, not so much. During our first day in Radisson, I had asked for an omelette at the breakfast station multiple times, which never came.

No complaints, but could do with little bit cheaper in-room dining options.

Responses to my online messages were prompt. The doormen greeted me and helped with luggage promptly on a rain soaked day.The gentleman (Mr. Ankur) at the front desk was alert to my requests during check in( non-smoking room; queen bed, upper level floor; room away from the elevator; HDMI cable and connectivity). A nice touch- during check in, I was offered a cold flute of juice! Someone promptly brought the HDMI cable to my room and connected it to the TV Monitor before I even started unpacking! The non-smoking room with the queen bed was on the 14th floor, and away from the elevator; it was clean, tastefully decorated with all the amenities one would expect from a nice hotel. The bathroom was well designed, sanitized, clean with a great shower head and toiletries. Within 30 mins, the gentleman at the front desk called to check if everything was OK. The buffet style breakfast (included) was in a very large room with sumptuous cold & hot dishes(Chinese, Indian, Thai, Sri Lankan, Western, Sushi, etc.). There were many healthy food options(Chia seed, yogurt, many types of juices, cereals, freshly baked breads & pastries, etc.) There were several cooking stations preparing variety of egg dishes, as well as the Indian delicacies like Dosa. The waiters were promptly cleaning tables with large numbers of patrons dining all at the same time! The hotel had multiple restaurants and bars and other facilities on different floors, including a rooftop bar and restaurant with a pool & great view. The attending gentleman prepared and heated the sauna before my arrival so that I didn't have to wait. There were changing rooms and showers for users of the sauna and adjacent gym.House Keeping was impeccable & the gentleman ensured that my needs were met and helped me with my luggage during check out. The check out process was very smooth. The Concierge, Mr. Sabuj helped with luggage but also ensured my Uber parked where I wouldn't get wet! Nice service!

Some instructions for controlling the thermostat would be helpful. Non-dairy/lactose free milk options. Better coffee. The room-service spring rolls were oily!

Swimming pool on top of the roof. Breakfast the most detailed and delicious I have ever seen. I had a bad cold, and when I checked in, the front desk noticed it. They asked if there was anything they could do. I said I needed some rest. Upon entering my room, the phone rang. Reception said: can we bring up some honey tea? I was totally overwhelmed by that kind of concern and service. Loved it. I've told all my friends here.

Bathroom was great; it had a tub. Many hotels now have walk-in showers.

Good food selection in the restaurant, and lovely Asian breakfast options. Staff were great, the hotel even organised a driver and concierge to a cricket match for us with excellent hospitality at the game provided by the hotel staff. Massage and spa facilities were great - had great and relaxing massages. Room service food was great, but a lack of alcohol options for room service. The roof top bar was great.

Lack of orange juice (had to be paid in addition of inclusive breakfast). Also lack of western foods. Beds were not very comfortable, they were hard and sagged in the middle. Location wasn’t great, not nice views and busy streets below.

Its ambiance, a perfect blend of modern elegance and comfort, created an unparalleled setting for evening gatherings under the stars. The staff's professionalism was noteworthy. Each member, from the concierge to the housekeepers, exhibited a remarkable blend of attentiveness, courtesy, and expertise, ensuring every need was met with a smile and impeccable efficiency. The comfort within the facilities was akin to a sanctuary of luxury and tranquility. Plush furnishings, state-of-the-art amenities, and thoughtful touches throughout the premises provided a haven of relaxation and indulgence. Lastly, the food's excellence was a culinary journey in itself. Each dish was a masterpiece, crafted with the finest ingredients, artistic presentation, and flavors that danced on the palate, leaving an indelible impression of gastronomic delight.

The bar should offer more options for liquor.

Overall excellent hotel to stay and all of hotel and restaurant staff behavior is awesome and very gentle. Really like their service

At level 15th Ozone Lounge staff's are not friendly and their behavior is not good. I wish authority will look after about their behavior to customer.

It may not be a new hotel, but everything you needed was there. I even got a slice of cake every afternoon. I wasn't expecting that. The staff was excellent, you can see they treated everyone just as good. They worked to provide without complaint or hesitation. The breakfast was everything you could ask for.

The frequent power outages. Not their fault really. But it happens

Cleanliness, housekeeping service, front desk people all were god

They do not allow any eatables to bring in the room front outside which is very irritating in other words they were compelling their guests to buy their in house food only which is not fair and just because of that they scan your each bag every time you enter in the hotel premises. Very bad.

The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and polite. The room was cleaned daily to a high standard. It was great to receive little surprises during our stay, such as a Christmas cake!

The hotel is well maintained while the staff are well trained. The room was of a comfortable size with a great view of the city. Television included the BBC.The coffee shop made an excellent coffee. We ate at the Indian restaurant on the roof. The city panorama from the roof is good. The curries were tasty. Breakfast provided meals for all tastes , European and Asian. The hotel is just around a corner from a bus station
