This was our second stay at LesCarmes after we first came about fourteen years ago, the year current owner bought the place. We found the facilities virtually the same - charming, stately equipped with antiques furniture, joly and helpful host Pascal and overall very pleasant atmosphere. Breakfasts were simple, modest and somewhat lacked variety within the week but individual items were otherwise high quality and we were given more if we asked. Unlike at our first stay, this time our (different) room did not have a fridge but we were offered an outside unit to store what we needed. At this location a car is a must as there are basically no walking paths in the vicinity. However with a car there are plenty of interesting locations to visit and Pascal made always sure that we had a printed itinerary for each day.

The host was gracious and welcoming. He greeted us with complimentary white wine and olives. The rooms were enormous - as part of our suite, we had two sitting rooms, a giant bedroom, and a private garden all to ourselves. Decor was fanciful, romantic, and reflected the host's lovely personality and the region's character. This 14th-century convent has been expertly converted into a unique and comfortable vacation hideaway. Breakfast, served on the beautiful terrace, included homemade croissants, superb cheese, and local artisanal yoghurt. The heated pool was a wonderful way to relax, and we enjoyed seeing the wild rabbits scamper through the beautifully-manicured grounds. Children would be especially happy with the giant outdoor chess set and croquet court, and lots of little gardens to explore. Only nine minutes' drive from L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Our Franco-American family will certainly return!

Beautiful very welcoming hotel. The hospitality is beyond. Inez made us feel extremely welcome. The hotel is very calm and relaxing. The staff and owner pascal make you feel very welcome and there is a family atmosphere. They organise an apero every evening and you get to meet your fellow guest. Nothing is forced however. If you want privacy you will find it here but if you feel like socializing you will be able to do so in a beautiful setting. We were there for a wedding and were sad that we were not able to spend more time at les carmes.

Inez /pascal. The beautiful big rooms. The pool is perfect. The atmosphere.

We loved this hotel! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They helped us book a restaurant for dinner since we forgot to make reservations. They made a tour of the place when we arrived because it’s so lovely there that they want to show you everything they have to offer. We also got a complimentary glass of wine while waiting for our room. Breakfast was amazing, most of it was homemade. The hotel is beautiful. The room was cozy and clean and I loved the interior design and the whole style of the hotel. The location was perfect ( if traveling with a car). Amazing place!

From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at Les Carmes was exceptional. Pascal, the host, is not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable and worldly! I'm certain he has traveled to one of the countries we call home. His warmth and generosity were evident when he upgraded our room at no extra cost. The hotel itself is cozy and elegant, radiating the charm of a bourgeois family estate. Surrounded by apple orchards, it offers a serene and authentic Provençal experience. The attention to detail extends to the rooms, with a supremely comfortable mattress, perfect water pressure in the shower, and an inviting warmth that made our stay all the more pleasant. Pascal went above and beyond by personally booking our table at Renaud Mets in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, where we had an unforgettable meal! Every dish felt like a piece of heaven. Back at the hotel, the breakfast and dining experience were equally exquisite. Though I didn’t have time to try the spa, everything else about Les Carmes made it a truly special place to stay in the South of France. It’s an ideal retreat to experience the region’s culture, hospitality, and culinary excellence! Plus, it’s conveniently close to Aix-en-Provence. A wonderful destination, and one I’d gladly return to.

Nothing :)

The host Pascal was so helpful and lots of fun and each night he hosted drinks so all of the guests could meet. The chateau was very grand plus a delightful outdoor area to eat breakfast (croissants, bread, jams, muesli, fruit & yoghurt), a pool to cool off on warm days, croquet plus a spa and gym. You need a car as the property is about 5min from the nearest town. Pascal advised of good restaurants to dine at each night in a town close by. Judy & Steve (Crocodile Dundee as named by Pascal)

Thank you Pascal and Minna for your warm and friendly hospitality. We stayed for 3 nights and everything was just perfect. A super continental breakfast served to your table, perfect start to the day! Everything about the domaine is just relaxing and no stress, which makes it an even more remarkable and romantic place. The gardens are wonderful and very well kept! The spa privative, a plus to our stay. The Carmes is a perfect place to visit Provence, close to all the charming villages and still in the heart of a beautiful domaine. Thanks again pascal and Minna for a wonderful stay ! Looking forward to seeing you again soon and continue the great work. Your Irish girl Cliona

We loved our overnight stay at this property on our journey from the UK down to the South of France. Pascal and Sara were both so welcoming. We travelled here with our two young children who loved the beautiful pool, surroundings and breakfast hot chocolate. The breakfast was delightful in a gorgeous setting on the terrace. Pascal is one of life’s special people who make you feel at home from the get go. I hope we will return one day.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and pampered. The property is nestled back off the road surrounded by beautiful landscaping. There is a heated pool which we enjoyed our first night, as weak as yard games such as chess and croquet. It was relaxing and peaceful. At night the guests are welcomed to have a happy hour and get to know one another, which we really enjoyed. Both nights there were totally different groups. Paschal, the owner, l was so friendly and hospitable. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Nothing. It was great! Best shower we have had in Europe!

Absolutely everything - the design of the place, starting with the driveway, to the interior, to the back yard, breakfast place, pool, the games available (darts, petanque), the spa, the Apero every evening etc. It is close to many beautiful villages and places to visit and Pascal offers great guidance for it, taillored to the desires of each person Pascal is an amazing host and it is great to see how much passion he puts into what he does, he brings people together, which nowadays is something big. Chapeau!
