A lovely Inn with beautiful antique furnishings in the spacious rooms. Dinner on-site was absolutely delicious (they have French chefs!) and we can't say enough about the staff. The included breakfast buffet was plentiful, with many options. Overall, a very nice stay!

The town is super tiny so nothing really to do in the immediate area.

Immediately below our room was a porch where smokers gathered after dinner. Given that we were having an early night, we had to keep the windows closed to shut out the smell of smoke and the murmur of conversation.

The place oozes charm. A small library where you can enjoy drinks from the bar. A feeling of history. Centrallly located. The staff could not be more friendly and charming -- helped e.g. with wifi. Excellent breakfast in a very pleasant breakfast room. Couldn't be cleaner.

Very good dinner and a lot of choice. Good breakfast. The hotel is an authentic and old Norwegian building so it is lovely to stay there.

I think it’s pricy for the standing compared to hotels in the region

Old style hotel with a lot of charm, with modernized rooms but they managed to keep the style. Only the bathroom was a bit "cheap" but clean and functionning. We had a terrace an took advantage of it, it was very lovely ! Downstairs, large lounge and dining areas, although we did not try the restaurant. Breakfast was very good and varied. The hotel is historic and located in a small village that I would regret to have missed if I had not stopped for the hotel.

Obviously, the small village is very, very quiet at night, but has a lot of charm. Dont miss the public garden, attended by locals, 200 m from the hotel : lots of flowers and vegetables, very lovely !

Staff were very helpful. They allowed us to self serve ourselves for tea/coffee as there was no such facilities in room. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

Not a dislike really but the shower door didn’t close properly due to the door suspension rail having become disconnected at one end (room 212). Suggest getting this fixed.

Good location for one night on a trip through Telemark. The Breakfast was fantastic.

Only two small double beds for 4 persons. Diner was ok, but also for norwegian relations too high priced.

Charming hotel and very nice hosts !! When we arrived we had a nice talk with the receptionist and he told us about the giant serpent legend of the lake nearby. The whole hotel has a very nice atmosphere and the breakfast was perfect thank you !! Seljord is a nice little town :)

Perfect location in the middle of the town, very good service in the reception and restaurant, here you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy food and drink. i absolutely recommend the pizza her. we stayed here and hicked the sourunding maintains. lovely place.
