We had no idea what a beautiful, historic town we had chosen for our hotel. We were on a road trip and we stopped there. It is an old, cosy hotel with a unique atmosphere, and it is within walking distance of the castle. I was glad they had an elevator, even though the building is old. The staff are friendly. There is free parking. The rooms are bright, large, and very nicely furnished. They are of a very high standard. The pillows, duvets and mattresses are all comfortable. We slept really well there. Some of the old furniture shows signs of wear, but we didn't mind. I really liked the carpet with a royal symbol on it. The pillowcases and duvet covers had a lovely design; they weren't plain white, but rather a soft yellow colour. The room also had a refrigerator with free mineral water. The bathroom had everything I needed, and I was glad there was a radiator because it was very cold. The breakfast is amazing and delicious, with lots of choice and pastries that are fresh and still warm. I really appreciated that breakfast was peaceful, with no loud conversations or shouting children. I noticed that the staff often replenished the food, wiped the tables and brushed the chairs, so that everything was clean for the next people. This was really exceptional. You get great value for your money.

There is no electric kettle or coffee maker in the room. There is no air conditioning, but luckily we were there in September when the outside temperature was around 22°C. There was a small electric fan to help with the heat. I'm not sure how much it helped.

A hidden pearl in a small town. Best hotel we have been at in this price range. Really cozy inside and nice town to walk around in. The resultant was also good and they’re going to information regarding how look the restaurant was open. Free parking by the way and everything was easy to find. Trip from DK to Germany we found to long so this was perfect and they was in Berlin in early morning.

Stayed here for the last 4 years and always have a great stay, plenty of free parking and close to town centre, train station and palace. Will be staying again next year.

Inner courtyard is really a disused wasteland and not pretty to look over Lady on reception at 14:00 could have been more welcoming and also offered explanation as to why I could not checkin while 3 other couples could PLEASE MOVE RUBBISH BINS FROM BIKE STORE AREA. IT STINKS AND THEY ARE SWARMING WITH FLYS.

Royal treatment at a wonderful hotel. Magnificent spacious suite, very well furnished with an eye for detail. Breakfast was great. The place is thought through to give comfort, pleasure and place for relaxing on kingly level.

Everything was ok, the room was very clean, the beds comfortable. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was full of choices, highly recommend!
