The area is great for exploring and the views are truly magical! We also really enjoyed the baths - especially the salt one, a very special experience. Laura on the front desk was very good and a young man who’s name we didn’t get. The restaurant next door was excellent.

The room did not make for a good night sleep due to a red flashing light. The shower gel was empty, there was no bin, and our robes and slippers for the baths were not brought up. There were no coffee cups in our room and only one water glass. The rooftop bar (vending machine) was broken. Furthermore the person on reception was not helpful regarding our bath experience. This did not make for a 5* experience. The building works were not an issue and are almost finished. Breakfast was average.

The location, very close to the bars and restaurants. The breakfast terrace and views and the pool area. Although a small pool it was very welcoming and relaxing. Excellent breakfast. We were in room 210 which is at the back of the hotel. It was a good size and quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Decking on the breakfast terrace is loose and needs sorting out. Another umbrella is also needed around the pool. No robes in the bedroom as listed. Pool terrace needs re setting in the morning as it is just left from how people had it the day before. Don't like bathroom layout. Wash basin in the bedroom. No wash basin in the toilet.

The hotel was centrally located by the Calle De Las Tiendas, which means easy access to loads of bars and restaurants, and also that the Alcabanza (a key sight to see!) is only a short walk away. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well cleaned and maintained. There's a rooftop pool which also has a fancy drinks vending machine (including cava and spirits). Finally, the hotel has a spa/baths as their main attraction. These baths are incredible, and we did the baths experience in two nights when there, featuring thermal pools, a salt bath, steam room and jacuzzi baths. Guests at the hotel get up to 25% off the spa prices (day dependent) if they book when staying at the hotel, so when me and my partner did the 90 mins spa baths experience, it was only €75 - which is a bargain for what you'd pay in England!

The location is ideal, in the peaceful section of the old town, within 5 minutes’ walking distance from the entrance to the hilltop fortress (2nd largest moorish castle in Spain). Quite a few restaurants for various tastes in the vicinity. A nifty and costworthy multi-storey car park very close. The hotel is located by the old market square, which was under heavy renovation, but when finished, it will surely be absolutely splendid! The breakfast room is on the top floor with a superb view on the old fortifications.

Our room had a ’weird’ setup: there was a separate booth for showering, one for the toilet seat, and the sink was standing almost in the centre of the room … took some time to get used to it. Some of our expendables got spoiled before we noticed that the in-room-fridge had tripped (the light was on, anyway!). We didn’t try the thermal baths.

The spa is fantastic, particularly the couples spa experience, which was included in the price we paid. The room was good. The location was fantastic and everything was within 10 minutes walk. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. Overall, the hotel was lovely, central and definitely worth it

The shower head in the room had some sharp edges which left some cuts. The curtain rail fell down (which was reported and fixed in about an hour, in the hotels defence). The pillows were a bit too soft for my personal likes. There were a number of wasps every morning during breakfast which was an issue as my partner is very allergic to stings

The Ancient Baths

The layout of the room was odd the sink was beside the bed and the shower had a glass wall so no privacy if someone else is in the room. Booked breakfast at a particular time which has to be pre arranged at checkin but we had to go back to our room to wait and be called to go back up as it was too busy. The girl was so lovely explaining this to us but the organisation of it was not so convenient for guests who maybe in a rush and it being in a tiny area trying to get your breakfast with people in your way. all the fruits were whole, nothing prepped to go, so took longer to prepare.

The room was small but we thought well designed for the space with the shower just outside the toilette overlooking the room and step down to the bedding area. Breakfast was upstairs on the small terrace overlooking a square and the Alcazaba up on the hill in the distance. The entrance is along a small old street, and shares it with the square, but the furnishing are very modern, clean, and well lighted with standard code or electronic key to get in. Close walking to most anyplace one might want to go in Almeria. We walked in from the bus/train station about 20 minutes. A festival was in progress the days we were there, so music late into the night and along the streets during the day. Loved the old style Spanish dresses many of the women were wearing. Staff was very helpful on all counts.

We like the window open at night, which as I remember, we couldn't open, but it may have been music in the distance those days anyway.

The property is in a great location, near lots of good restaurants and with lovely views. It overlooks the plaza and has a beautiful spa.

2 of the deckchairs around the pool were broken. There are only 4 in total. Additionally, there was construction in the plaza during our stay, so it was very noisy. While this isn’t the hotel’s fault, we were only notified of this 24 hours prior to our arrival.

The spa facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed them and being able to have our massage together. Rooms were comfortable and equipped with fridge, safe and coffee making facilities. One of the receptionists Mina went out of her way to be helpful. She was able to organise another room for us to stay another night after previously been told hotel was full. She gave us recommendations of places to eat. She was just very friendly, knowledgeable and thoroughly nice to us. The hotel generously gave us a bottle of cava and some chocs to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

We thought breakfast was very expensive at 18€ pp. Definitely not worth 36€ for a couple when the bacon was cold, scrambled egg warm and no dried fruits to add to the oats provided or flavoured yoghurts. Lack of coat hangers in rooms. 1st room had 4, 2nd room had 3. Lack of information in room

My friend and I drove from Mojocar and stayed for on night. Ahead of our stay the hotel staff gave us directions to a nearby car park where we left the car for the duration of our trip as everything we needed was within walking distance. The hotel is located in a beautiful square with plenty of landmarks, restaurants and bars nearby. The room was perfect and the rooftop pool area is stunning. We were offered a 25% discount on any spa treatments when we checked in too. We will definitely return, this hotel is fantastic value and exceeded our expectations!

Nothing to improve, it ticked all the boxes for us.
