Myself and my father in law were on a bike trip and got caught at blood river with 1x broken bike in the middle of a terrible storm Petras personally stayed up until 9pm to let me in to the accommodation as she understood our situation, I was fully drenched and made the 60km journey there travelling at about 10km/h. She lent me her phone charger as mine was soaked, gave me rusks and tea to get warm and even let me park my bike under a little afdak for the night She saved our backsides that night wether she knows it or not, as if she didn't wait for me , I would have had no where to go! Outstanding lady. The staff got my gear cleaned and as dry as they could for the next day too.

The room had everything one needs for a self catering Kruger stop over and was very clean. The farm is beautiful and we enjoyed all the farm animals especially the ginger cats. Petra is very friendly and welcoming.

The roads getting to Petra's are in terrible condition which is such a shame, as I will probably not travel that road again. The one bed was slightly angled so woke up with a sore back but I'm sure it's an easy fix as I don't think it was the mattress.

This is a great value for backpacking and young travelers. Great space and facilities for those who are traveling as such. We used it as a one night layover but for us, a family traveling with elderly and child, probably was not the best fit -which is no fault of the property. We have traveled throughout the world when you're and used these types of lodges, I would rate this as one of the better backpacking hostels that I have been to.

We loved that oom Louis showed us his collection of antiques and his stories about the farm. I loved spending time with the farm animals and making drawings of them. Hubby and I loved having a bonfire in the boma and also braaiing there.

the situation was very convenient and we liked being on a farm and in the country

load shedding in the morning we left made it impossible to make a hot drink. The generator came on at 6 but we were up at 5.

Located in the most beautiful environment you feel like you stepped into a fairytail. Lovely animals you can pet all around. You can easily have wonderful braais here while having stunning views of the hillsides. Anything here is done with a lot of love. The whole accommodation makes you feel like coming home to the farm you dreamed of. The hosts are georgious and will help you with anything you need. We actually already miss our conversations with this warm hearted couple. Mme. Petra also kindly takes care of animals in need, what makes it even more adorable. You also have good wifi and the kitchen is well equipped.

The atmosphere and accommodation was excellent. Had good parking but left too early to join for breakfast.

We found our stay very relaxing and peaceful. Loved the farm atmosphere and animals. Liked the braai area outside and privacy.

Road up to the farm turn off. Missed my bath😉but shower was fine.

I loved the gardens the green grass the animals and Petru is an lovely lady. Facility had everything we needed. Love that they have Solar. Enough entertainment for the children to.
