I've already reviewed this place, but we had two separate bookings so two separate reviews. I really liked this place, but as I explained at length in my previous review I didn't like their policy of charging for their tours without making it clear that you have to pay. The tours were short and not super interesting. The guy who led the tour to see the butterflies, frogs and sloth was great and provided lots of information. The guide on the golf cart tour was obviously in a hurry to get it over with so that was especially unsatisfying (although it's fun to drive around in a golf cart). If it wasn't for this deceptive practice I would rate this place 11 - at the price we paid through booking.com it was super value. There's a free shuttle to get to Miraflores, Soberania and other locations, and the drivers were super obliging.

Room was huge and very well appointed. It had everything I needed. Tv has lots of channels. Breakfast was wonderful and a really great variety from day to day. Staff were very kind and professional. Shuttle service to different places was appreciated. Pools were lovely. I saw monkeys and a huge variety of birds from my balcony. Hotel was very clean. It needs some updating in the rooms but that always happens with time. I would highly recommend this place.

Since this is an eco hotel, more environmentally friendly practices are needed. For example, shampoo etc should be in dispensers not plastic single- use containers. Restaurant take out should be in paper containers not plastic. A/C is too cold and cannot be turned down. I had to open the door to warm up the room. Sorry. Please don't feed the crocodiles and turtles bread. It is unhealthy for them. There is too much loud music by the pool for me. I could not enjoy it but others loved it.

The front desk staff were very helpful; the guides who take guests on the walks and in the golf carts are knowledgeable, invested, informative, polite and caring. I enjoyed being on the balcony of my room with views over the jungle (and golf course); the free daily shuttle bus to the city, Soberina hiking trail and discovery centre was a bonus; the breakfast was plentiful and varied; the bright wall murals always bring a smile.

Transport back to the city and to Gamboa is a bit difficult to arrange; the only place to have a meal is at the in-house restaurant, with nowhere to get snacks, so load up before you arrive.

There were wonderful beds. My room had a balcony There was a free butterfly tour. There was a children’s pool and an adult pool. There was a large patio were you could sit in the shade. There were elevators to go floor to floor. The food was tasty and plentiful. Water bottles were provided in the rooms. The staff held competitions for children and adults.

The towel staff did not start early enough in the morning. You had to provide your license not just a key or room number to get a towel. My last day I never did get a towel. The music at the pool played constantly. In the butterfly garden there were 5 large birds ( Tuscans & ?) that were kept in very small cages as they were rehabilitated. How much nicer if they could have flown around the butterfly garden or a similar aviary of their own

Superb offer of (hiking and riding) excursions for bird, animal and plant watching, with local tours -- as well as daily shuttles to malls in city center, included in hotel room rate. Two big swimming pools. Well-maintained golf terrain around hotel perfect for a morning jog and evening walk. Staff attentive and responsive to small requests, like an additional lamp in my room. Good breakfast and I was welcomed for a coffee refill.

Internet/Wifi dropped off one morning and didn't get back until after 14pm. No ATM in or near hotel.

We loved the size of the room, the amenities in the room, the beautiful view. It was a very nice room. The rates were reasonable with the discount I was able to receive through the booking app I used. I like that it is All-Inclusive, but wish we had taken more advantage of using their provisions like the rainforest tour. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Omar, who was very helpful with our bags and assisting us with other requests.

The only problem was the floor was constantly wet. Even when we tried to dry it with paper towels we had, the next morning it was wet again for no apparent reason. It was bizarre and we don't know what caused the whole floor to be wet. It actually could be very dangerous if someone slips and falls because of the wetness of the floor.

Some of the reviews suggest that this place is a bit run-down, but I don't know what they're talking about. This is a super comfortable resort, well run, clean, modern and nice. Our rate included breakfast, which is a buffet with lots of choices. We didn't have a car, so we were a bit trapped there, but there's a free shuttle to take you to Miraflores or various trails in nearby Soberania, and the restaurant wasn't as over-priced as it could have been. You can see lots of birds around the edges of the golf course or the trail on the property. At the rate we paid on booking.com I'd give it a 10 (heck, maybe 11) except for one thing...

There's a sign at the front desk with a schedule of tours available, including a short walk to see frogs and a sloth, and another on golf carts. There's no indication that there's a charge for these tours - I mean, the name of the place includes the words "all inclusive". When we checked out there was no mention of additional charges, nor did we get a bill. It was only later that I noticed that they put through a charge for the tours, without my approval or even telling me. I feel like I was swindled. If they want to charge for tours, fair enough, but make that clear to guests and put the price on the sign.

I did not realize Panama's weather was so hot and humid, so having a pool was a plus. There was a good variety of food, different options for meats, salads, breads, etc., also a good variety of drinks. Staff was nice, informative and caring. We had the chance to visit the butterfly garden and the person taking care of the garden left his work to attend us and give us a tour not just to the garden, but outside to helps us see the sloths

A/C in room was kind of noisy and difficult to set up

It is about 40 minutes from Panama City center; located in a beautiful green setting with a few animals you can encounter. Resort offers a few activities, such as walking tour and golf cart tour to view animals. Good breakfast.

There is nothing I disliked, except for a very loud air conditioner; when it turns on at night, it sound like a freight train

Rooms are clean, staff is polite, the location is great if you plan to stay in the hotel since there aren't shops, stores or restaurants nearby. Pools are nice, I felt the water could've been a little cleaner. Lots of activities for the whole family and the breakfast has a good variety of foods to choose from. Loved that the rooms have a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker so we could prepare/keep snacks for the kids.

I didn't appreciate the fact that there was a wedding on one of the days we stayed over. They used the pool area for the event so on that afternoon/evening we couldn't access the kid's pools. Our door didn't lock properly from the inside, so anyone with a card could just open the door. On our first night no one mentioned there was a kid's menu, and there weren't any kid friendly options on the menu, so it would've been nice for someone to say something, especially since they saw us struggling with choosing something for the kids. Our second waiter was the one who informed us.
