The rooms are large and equipped with a fridge, coffee maker, table and lots of chairs. Janine, who was on the desk almost all the time that we stayed here, was very helpful. The location of Murphy's Inn Motel is perfect, close to the big grocery stores and other shops as well as to a delicious Asian restaurant across the road..

The pool and spa are closed at the moment.. Unfortunately they are very understaffed at the moment although they are managing to keep the motel tidy

First and most important, the entire staff was most gracious and accommodating. It was a very easy check in/out. We parked our car at check in and we didn't move it for days until we checked out. Everything was in walking distance and an easy walk at all hours. We were traveling with our toddler grandson and the staff treated us like family. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The ice and beverages are well stocked, and the toiletries were of good quality, abundant and in eco friendly containers to prevent un- necessary waste. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Nothing that could have been prevented, but a group of drunken females were a little problematic and could have displayed more maturity and respect for other guests. The front desk handled this matter appropriately and quickly. All in all, my satisfaction far exceeds any momentary inconvenience of impolite guests. I will return most definitely.

We stayed at this hotel for a night while visiting Big Trees. It was perfect for that purpose. Check in was quick, easy and pleasant. Our room was very large, comfortable and clean. It looked like it'd been recently renovated. The bed and pillows were as comfortable as they get for a hotel in this price point. There was plenty of parking and we could walk to a couple of restaurants. The internet worked well and was fast. The AC was a little noisy as it turned on and off, but it worked well and we had a pleasant sleep. The price was quite fair for the accommodations we got, particularly the day before a holiday. All in all, I'd stay there again.

The only thing I didn't like is that the window looked into a fence a couple of feet away. On the plus side, it'd be unlikely that someone would walk by and look inside (but not impossible), but it wasn't the greatest of views. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but they do have coffee in the lobby.

We had a wonderful stay! The motel was very clean, quiet, and the beds were extrememly comfortable! I think the bath/shower must have been quite new - and the room was perfect. Definitely highly recommend. It is a minute walk from downtown Murphys and we had a great 2 days winetasting, eating delicious food, and chatting with the staff at each establishment. Unfortunatley the 4th July fireworks were cancelled, but we saw 2 wonderful bands up at the Lube Room and Camp Connel General Store, and hiked the South Grove at Calaveras Big Trees. Love the area, and will certainly be back!

The staff are super friendly. Location is great. This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel. It’s perfect for what we need. We go hiking at the big tree park and then stay here so we don’t have to drive right back to Sacramento. We walk to the historic downtown Murphy’s from the hotel. Bed was over comfy, shower has great water pressure, and room very clean. We will most likely stay here every time we make the trip to Arnold/Murphys

Air conditioning is a little stale but would sway me from staying there again.

Super, super clean!! Very convenient location to walk to all of the amenities in this very cute little town. Check-in with the manager was very easy and she was extremely friendly as well as helpful!! She even made sure our room was ready early, so we could get in the room as soon as we arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

There were several other motels in the area that were a little cheaper, so I had thought the price here could have been a little bit lower. But the quality of the stay was worth the extra in price.

Absolutely loved our stay at Murphy’s Inn! Shanon, the owner, was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The entire staff was helpful and attentive, making sure our family had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean, cozy, and perfect for our getaway. Highly recommend this charming inn — we’ll definitely be back!

Michelle at the front desk was AMAZING! Super friendly and was more than accommodating checking us in early since we arrived earlier than expected. We were on a spontaneous road trip and knew we wanted to see nature and the town. Michelle and the manager made some great recommendations that were just what we were looking for. The room was clean and quiet!

Randi was great, she welcomed us and explained all the services and times for pool. Very friendly. The room upstairs was clean and nice.

The only thing I didn’t like was an odor from the carpet and chairs that comes from needing upholstery cleaning. It can be difficult to keep up in this when flipping rooms though.

The bed was VERY large and the rooms are quiet and are near all the wineries we like to visit. It's a very convenient location for the hotel.

Initially when we walked into the bathroom is smelt awful like someone vomited and just left it. Also the bed is on a box spring I believe and makes a springing/popping sound when you get on and off that can be a bit alarming haha I don't believe the price is necessarily worth it but I do understand it's mainly based on the convenience of being close to all the wineries and is a place to stay after a day of drinking.
