We really liked the resort feel as it was located away from towns and cities in Mae Wang province and in a rainforest setting.. We appreciated having a very good, well priced restaurant on site providing freshly made food to order. There were lots of groups but we liked the lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and it is a family business. The location is great if you have your own transport. It's located in elephant territory, so we were able to watch and visit lots of different elephants, all in sanctuaries with their own mahoots so we felt safe. The resort has maps of suggested walks of different lengths, so great for walking and trekking.

The mattresses were firm and one could do with being replaced. We had our own mattress topper that we bought at a Big C supermarket and we took it from hotel to hotel as beds in Thailand are typically firm and I have a sore back. We then donated it. It's a more humid environment than Chiang Mai as it's in a rainforest in what I think is a wide valley but that's part of the charm too.

Amazing friendly and helpful staff. Who helped us with finding tours, booking taxi, and provides us with delicious breakfast food, and laundry. The room and location was very beautiful, no AC so it can be a bit humid when warm. But the ventilator works perfectly fine. So no issues with heat, or sleeping. The location is quite in the middle of the national park, so don't expect lots of bars or convenience stores. There a a few cafes and local family grocery stores which to us sufficed more than enough. This stay is located near several good elephant sanctuaries, zipline and waterfalls. A beautiful place to relax and escape the city life. Highly recommend it!

The staff is very friendly, they gave us a bunch of tips on things to do, they even told us not to book with them because since we have a car, it will be cheaper for us to just drive directly to the activity and book it there. The owner spoke English really really well. We also followed their tip for a half day hike that passed by a really nice waterfall. Breakfast was the best I ever had Brand new AC

The beds were not comfortable at all, one was so hard it felt like sleeping on a inflatable camping mat and you could feel the springs in the other one. Since we were the only guests, I would like it if they upgraded at least one room with newer mattress and just tried to accomodate all of their guests there. During the low season, one apartment with nicer beds would improve the experience for (I guess) 60% of all visitors because there are not that many people coming at the same time.

Since there was burning season and lot of smog in the city, we were looking for some resort in nature up in the mountains. We found the pefect match. Bee and her husband are very friendly and caring owners, who provided us everything we needed and were constantly available through WhatsApp. There are a lot of activities in resort or nearby. We took cooking class, learned how to make spring rolls, curry and pad tai. They also serve meals, which we highly recommend because they are deliceous. Nearby there is also Karen elephant sanctuary, they can pick you up at resort. We had our own car and then went to one day trip to Doi Inthanon, but there also trips offered from resort. The room was clean, on windows were mosquito protections. But have in mind, that you are in nature and some frogs, gekkos and flys will be around.

During the day can be a bit hot in hot season, since there is a fan and not AC, but during the night usually comes some fresh and cooler air.

Located in the tranquil mountains southwest of Chiang Mai, this Mae Wing resort is a haven of peace and hospitality. The staff's warmth adds to the charm, ensuring a delightful stay. Whether you seek relaxation on your own patio or adventure, this resort is a great starting point for both . It's perfectly positioned for quiet downtime or exploring nearby attractions like monasteries, zip lines, and elephant rescues. The close by scenic waterfalls add a touch of nature’s beauty to an already unforgettable experience. A perfect choice for a balanced and memorable Thai getaway. Remember to bring a warmer set of clothes if you visit in the winter since evenings and mornings can be a bit chilly. Blankets in abundance are of course available for the night.

We had the greatest time at this place. The owners are the most caring and loving people we have met during our 3-month trip through Thailand. They suggested great activities and revealed secret spots that we could visit. We stayed for 2 weeks, and enjoyed ourselves a lot every day. We were a bit worried that we might miss a pool with our 2 young kids, but this was not the case at all. Our kids were a lot inspired by their room, balcony, the resort terain, and also the common place that we were always welcome to use. The kitchen staff was also amazing as they always took into account the lactose intolerance of our youngest, making for instance coconutmilk version of the pancakes. My daughter was amazed and felt very special. Also, dinner was very tasty! Many people that work at the resort speak English well, so the communication was very easy. We hope to come back one day!

Bee and her husband were incredibly kind and hospitable. Gave us some great recommendations while staying on what to do. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the meals were fantastic! Breakfast was delicious both days with something different to try and so much food. The bungalow was very spacious and clean with a great balcony to chill on. Will definitely be returning when back in the area.

The bungalows are big and clean. The kitchen was open for breakfast and dinner and the food was delicious. The owners are wonderful and kind people. They picked us up from a nearby resort for our stay and coordinated our scooter and vehicle rentals as well as our taxi back into Chiang Mai.

The mattress was was very firm.

Tranquil location, and the food is the best we have had in SE Asia so far! Tons of birds on the property. The staff really take pride in this place. There isn’t AC, but it does cool down fairly well at night. Showers are hot and the beds are comfortable. Absolutely love this place. The location is off the beaten path but the hotel can organize everything from elephant trips to rides to the national park. But eat here as much as you can. Explore the menu. The Khao Soi and green curry were incredible!
