No breakfast but nice kitchenette to use. A toaster would be a brilliant addition. Birdseye view of all the entertainment in the square, which was very lively, a mixture of cultural and modern. Very family friendly. Cómpeta was beautiful, very steep. People were very friendly.

It would be helpful to have information in the room about how to use cooker hob, and information about local taxi cab, bus timetable, local places of interest and trips available, also local shop opening times. We arrived on a Sunday and shops were closed so couldn’t buy milk for a cup of tea. A small supply of milk would be excellent. We really enjoyed the lively atmosphere of the square, however, it may not suit everyone as it goes on late into the night/morning.

My stay at Salamandra Plaza B&B was absolutely delightful! The charming atmosphere, beautiful decor, and warm hospitality made it a truly special experience. The room was cozy, spotless, and had everything I needed for a comfortable night. The B&B is located right in the heart of Cómpeta, giving easy access to the town’s lovely restaurants and shops. Communication was great through WhatsApp, and the check-in was very easy. Highly recommend for a peaceful retreat!

The only challenge was the drive up the mountain, which was a long drive, and it takes you away from Nerja. Also navigating the narrow streets was tricky with a car.

Great location in the town square overlooking restaurants and shops. Nice clean good sized apartment. We were in the top property with direct access to the shared roof top terrace and our own private one. Very relaxing. Good communication and checkin. Great value for money.

The square below was quite noisy with apartmentwindows open. One night out of the three we stayed there was a party below that went on into the wee small hours! Sound better when we shut all the windows and shutters. We stayed in October so this was possible.

At first I was given a room without a window and I had to upgrade because I found that room too claustrophobic, my upgrade was ok but a bit on the small side however, the good point was that I had doors that opened onto the main square where I had a lovely view and could watch all the activities going on in the village. I was disappointed that there wasn’t Netflix or the option of English tv because as I have limited mobility and need to lie down in the afternoon it would have been nice for me to have those facilities available.

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location. Looking over the beautiful square of Competa. Clean apartment with good quality bedding and comfortable beds. Kitchenette with full size fridge, hairdryer and shower gel and shampoo included. Good communication with staff if you need them and cleaning staff very kind and helpful.

Slight smell from the drain in the bathroom. Very weak shower and hot water not always available, but you can get a shower eventually! Think it might have something to do with the amount of people using the hot water at the same time. This was reported to maintenance so it might have improved since.

I liked the room, roof terrace, location, breakfast, and staff

Had 2 single beds, the mattress on the first night was awful, too soft and bendy each side of you, felt like I was going to roll out of either side, therefore had no sleep. Decided to try the other bed the next night and it was an improvement. Also no English TV to have on when in the room, especially in the evening. Tried all the settings to get it but no luck, couldn't even get English subtitles, so had to go to bed.

Fantastic location right on the main square but surprisingly not noisy at all. Staff were excellent, particularly Carlos when I locked myself out of my room. The Comms via WhatsApp were excellent and entry and check out were seamless. Would highly recommend.

I went in February so a lot of the restaurants were closed but all on the main square were open.

The position of the accommodation is perfect, in the centre of the old village. We had a room with a balcony looking out on the square, just as pictured in the advertisement. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom good. Good value for money.

The room was a bit small to be wholly comfortable, though very efficiently organised.

Location was perfect. The room although small was very well equipped with everything so no space was wasted and it was spotlessly clean.

I’ve no complaints but just one suggestion. I’m quite old now and the shower/toilet room was a big drop to get in and out of. A step about half the height of the drop that could be kept perhaps on top of the wardrobe would have made it a lot easier for the more elderly guests.

The room has a fantastic view over the Plaza, bits of the Mediterranean, and even a glimpse of the Riff Mountains in North Africa. On the 5th of January, the three kings entered the square, each in his own cabriolet, directly under our windows.

The water disappeared in the shower just as I was going to wash off the soap. I wasn't always sure I would get hot water. Eventually it came back but it was more than a couple of minutes of suspense...
