Staying at this Masseria felt like stepping into a fairytale. It’s so authentic and breathtakingly beautiful that words hardly do it justice. Those four days were pure heaven – surrounded by stunning nature, peaceful silence, and a magical atmosphere. The gardens are full of life, with so many different plants to explore, and the presence of animals made it even more special. There are various species of birds around, and the calming sounds of peacocks create a truly peaceful vibe. Whether we were walking through the garden, relaxing by the pool, or sitting on the balcony, their calls added to the magic of the place. What we truly loved was the authenticity – from the character of the building to the delicious homemade food. If you appreciate quality and simplicity, this place will make you happy. And the staff… they were just incredible. So warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. This was easily one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. If you’re looking to escape the stress of everyday life and recharge in a beautiful, peaceful setting, we couldn’t recommend this place more.

Gorgeous place Super friendly people Book the evening meal. All produce from the extensive gardens. This is a gem of a find. Luxury in a place where you don’t find much. You need a car. There’s a beach about 10 mins away. Volcanic sand but lovely. Ultima. Mario could do with making a deal with the bus driver to provide a service to the beach so everyone can drink. Breakfast is all from the garden too. Pool area is lovely and they like children. A tour of the gardens and animals is available if you enjoy agriculture and sustainability. Book this!!!!!

It’s new but old Friendly staff

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The property photos don't do the place justice - it's stunning. Located in the middle of the countryside - it is as peaceful as it is beautiful there. Lots of greenery, fruit and olive trees, organic gardens, plenty of places to sit out and enjoy the swimming pool, the animals or just chill in the gardens and read a book. Mario, Teo and all the staff are the consummate hosts showing genuine Salento hospitality and they go to a lot of effort to ensure guests are fully enjoying their stay on the property and Puglia in general. The rooms are beautifully furnished with Italian antiques, the bathrooms are modern and having a balcony on either side of the room, meant there was a lovely cool breeze throughout (there's air con too if that's your preference). The food is divine! For breakfast, there was daily freshly baked bread, fruit / veg from the garden and home made treats to set you up for a day's sightseeing. I had dinner there one evening and it was fabulous - my only gripe being that I couldn't finish it all. Lecce, Otranto and the Adriatic coastline beaches are within easy driving distance and while it's located in the countryside (it is an agri-tourismo after all!), it was so nice to return to the peace & tranquility of Relais Borgo Segine and chill out with a glass of the local vino on the balcony for some star-gazing (no light pollution) before bed. It was a truly restorative stay and I hope to return some day.

I enjoyed my entire stay here and could find no fault with my stay here.

The most amazing villa, with wonderful owners and their truly amazing team, made us feel like in paradise, our kids (6 and 7) were the happiest people on earth in this place. It is an impeccable villa, brand new build in an authentic style, kept all the old traditions and love to the detail. You get fresh flowers in your room (melts my heart), brand new bathroom facilities (hard to find in Italy), freedom and love to kids, hundreds of birds, and you get served every morning freshly made breakfast. We didn’t want to leave, and if ever to come back to Puglia, only here.

Amazing place, not a single thing to complain

Amazing place to stay. It was everything we could have hoped for. The hosts were very welcoming and room/facilities were perfect. The owners who didn’t speak English were so friendly and cooked us some lovely homemade food. We had a tour of the gardens and animals which was really interesting. You need a car to get to the property and explore the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here and wished we had booked longer.

Nothing! It was perfect.

This location is not just another touristic place; Mario & Grazia have turned a magic vision into reality and offered to share it with the world! It is an architecture, ecosystem and services unique convergence, a lesson about how life could be lived happily. Try the home made food, it's excellent. Try the local wine they serve, it's great. Enjoy the wonderful garden, the animal community in the yard (worldwide variety), the peace under the sunset and the kindness of the hosts/staff. You must discover yourself all these, it's hard to describe. If you want to eat out sometimes, without travelling extensively in the region, there's a very good pizza place in the next village (3 minutes drive) or the restaurants in Lecce, the next town. Beaches very near, lots of places to see around in the region, at 1-2,5 hours drive; the town of Otranto was the revelation for us.

Very nice Relais with spacious and modern rooms (brand new washrooms). Our room had a balcony, looking into the yard. Fantastic! Breakfast was made with love. Very nice cappuccino and homemade pastries. Parking is on site without a fee. What makes the Relais special is the people. Everyone we met was soo nice and welcoming. Mario, the owner, is such a nice person. We were glad to spend some time with Teo, who showed us around, meanwhile talking Italian, so that we could improve our italian. Many thanks to you Teo, with your kindness, you made our trip unforgettable. Thank you :)

The Virgo was amazing! Theodoro gave us a tour to see all the herbs, fruits and vegetables they grow, not to forget all the animals they have like chicken, goats, cute pigs, birds, rabbits, a horse and a donkey. The place is different from all other places. All the food was homemade and fantastic, even the jams and juices….❤️

Wonderful place, with a pool, impressive amount of animals in the farm, alot of plants grown in there including tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, pepper, melon, watermelon and many more… the building itself is new and very well decorated. Rooms are spacious. Highly recommended

Wifi was weak in the rooms. The rooms are divided into upper and lower floors. Those in the lower floor can get disturbed by the steps and noise of upper floor, as it is not well isolated.

We had a wonderful stay at Relais Borgo Segine. The place is magical, the meals (breakfast and dinner) are exceptional, and everything is very well maintained and clean. It's very well arranged for families and the whole team was very welcoming. It's ideal for exploring the region, visiting small villages or enjoying the beaches. We'll be back!
