The view was beautiful. The staff were attentive. The food was really good. The spa was lovely. The walks in the national park behind were breathtaking taking - highly recommend the ‘Monclar’ route, 10k loop from the hotel. The setting of the hotel itself was beautiful, and the pool area was a great space to enjoy this from. Definitely recommend paying that bit more for a balcony view of the mountains - breathtaking!

The pillows were lumpy, surprised there were not soft pillows. The staff were not trained about allergies. The gluten free bread was really poor dry chewy hard microwave roll. The menu had no allergy labelling. There was constantly cross contamination of gluten in my evening meals. Poor gluten free options at breakfast - just the same dry bread roll.

The setting of the accommodation was beautiful and the facilities were clean and tidy. We hired a car and drove the hour to get to the accommodation from the airport which was easy to get to with google! As we had the car, we were able to get to the beach which was a 10-15min drive away along with bars and restaurants. The restaurant was very good - remember to book though as we forgot and got a sulky face on the second time of not remembering! bit pricey but you'd expect that for what you paid for the stay. We ate out other places also. you cant walk to anywhere so be prepared for taxi rides and or car hire. The breakfast buffet was amazing!

Nothing was bad as such but would have liked a little more engagement from the staff and often when we asked for a drink at the bar or anything for that matter (we ordered room service once!) we felt we had inconvenienced them, maybe a cultural difference, but not what we are used to when paying what we did to stay there! air con no great, never said anything in the end but am sure if I did they may have been able to fix it.

The room was very spacious and perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was quiet and curtains did a great job of keeping it dark. It was easy to park and charge the car. The staff were always very friendly. The welcome pack for kids was sweet. The lounge/study area was spacious and great to have a break from the room. Lunch food at the restaurant was outstanding!! Excellent!

Internet was terrible - unusable a lot of the time!!! There was a big ant problem in the coffee/fridge cupboard in our room. The AC was not effective and the room didn’t get below 25 degrees. The outside smell is unpleasant. It would be nice if the outdoor pool was heated. Everything was very clean but the smell of bleach/cleaning products was unpleasant- some natural products would be nice. The gym has no AC and is very hot- a very small room with old equipment. There is a pillow menu but the 2 we requested were not available. It would be nice to get room service before 8pm for those that are not from the region and don’t like eating so late.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mas Tapiolas. The property looks even better than on the photos, it’s in the middle of the green overlooking the mountains and the monastery. Location is just beautiful and it’s a short ride from some beautiful costal towns. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was lovely, and they treated our little daughter like a star. There is a lot of fun for the little ones with both indoor and outdoor kids space, dedicated hours at the pool and possibilities to rent bikes with baby seats. There is also a good amount of space where adults can rest and enjoy the peace. Food at the restaurant was great.

Breakfast could have more options, and the rooms could have an update on the design. During our stay there was a pool renovation and groups were eating out in the restaurant so the guests had to take the inside tables which was a pity.

Hotel is in very good location, if you play golf its like heaven. Very good food, and breakfast, clean and nice rooms, ok spa area, but to be honest, sauna is nowhere near as hot as it should be and so is the steam room. pool was fine. In summer for sure its nice to relax in main pool. Very nice views all around hotel .

One thing to be careful is that the extra room they advertise is not a room at all, its a hallway between entrance and main room and toilet, so if you put your kids to sleep there, you wont be going to pick up room service or go to toilet.

The location is amazing, it's in a tranquil natural spot, with beautiful views. The room was clean and spacious. Nice Spa area, and great outdoor swimming pool with sunbeds. It is a great place to escape from busy areas.

Very minor thing, but I didn't like that to get body location or some other extra supplies, you need to go down to the reception. Usually, it's in the rooms.

Comfortable large bed, room size excellent and tastefully furnished with small patio and view over garden. Clean large bathroom with walkin shower and bath. We enjoed the Nuxe products and even bought some for ourselves from their Nuxe Spa. Beautiful garden and pool with lovely trees. Excellent restaurant Gault et Millau so perfect for foodies like us. Staff so helpful.

absolutely everything, we booked this last minute as our hotels air conditioning had broken. we had one night in this room then moved to another room. very exceptional property beautiful location with quirky bedrooms. they haven’t stopped at anything to make your stay fabulous breakfast buffet unreal with everything available. on-site restaurant is lovely and very reasonably priced. very easy to get to the beach from here although car needed. beautiful pool area with a bar: heaven on earth

The breakfast was wonderful (though supplies of eggs & cooked meats could be replenished more regularly), lots of choice and a beautiful area where to peruse all the foods on offer. Cava was a nice bonus :) Staff were mostly really friendly, and although some do not have much English, were very pleasant to deal with. In particular a Romanian lady who worked at breakfast time was a joy to meet and we have great chats with her every day. She is a huge asset to the hotel. The pitch & putt course is a great facility. Pool was fantastic, as was the spa area. All of the common areas are spotlessly clean & well maintained. Only a short drive to Platja d'Aro, which is a buzzing & lively coastal town full of Spanish & French tourist.

The restaurant could be better. The hotel is obviously based in a foodie area, with several Michelin rated restaurants nearby, and they have a menu that reads as a menu of that level, but other than the cost it is not to that standard. When we visited Els Tinars nearby it was a similar cost to a meal at the hotel, but so many levels above the standard. The hotel really is quite isolated so a car is necessary unless you plan to stay there and not leave the premises. However, due to this the location is beautifully peaceful and relaxing. The smell from the nearby cattle farm was sometimes quite noticeable if the wind was blowing in the wrong direction. Air con in the rooms could be set to a lower temp.
