Its my second time in the hotel. I would say it is near to where I needed to be but in Arendal everything is near....Lovely hotel. Fab without being pretentious, breakfast to die for (best we've had in Norway), views are fantastic, rooms uber comfy. Bath is spotless and well heated...All in call - a winner on all fronts. Oh...and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Cant think of anything at all...even if I was to nitpick....oh...if I have to nitpick, I wish the ashtreys on the outside were changed more often....ouch...not very gracious of me to make the comment. It's a lovely hotel - just book there!

Central location in Arendal. The Ferry boat to Hisøy and Tromøy just steps away. Five minutes walk to Merdø ferry. My room had beautiful views second floor just short staircase to dining room. My room was very comfortable with great layout in bathroom. And did I mention the beautiful view of the harbor area.

Nothing. I grew up on Hisøy and knew I would love it.

Great price/quality. Very spacious modern rooms, very pleasing atmosphere and nice views to the harbour. Amazing breakfast selection. Great amenities in the room (coffee/tea, mini fridge, wide selection of Ritual bath products, ...). We didn't use the hotel parking but parked in the cheap public parking house only a few meters from the hotel.

Would have been nice to be able to reserve a parking spot.

The room was comfortable and spacious, with a lovely view overlooking the waterfront. Very convenient location for the waterfront, ferries and amenities. The bedside USB ports were a bonus for charging electronic devices : ) Excellent breakfast buffet

My hotel of choice in Arendal, always confortable and with a stunning view on the seaside.

The only thing is, the hotel of this level could provide guests with slippers and, ideally, a bath robe. But then we are in Norway, many people just walk in socks at home...

The breakfast selection was wonderful, and the breakfast room was cosy and right on the water so nice view while we were eating despite the snowstorm!

I did not have any complaints about anything, frankly.

I have stayed at the Tynholmen many times. It is an excellent hotel and very well positioned. The breakfast is excellent and the staff really freindly. The rooms that overlook the fjord are amazing

I had a room with stairs to the bed. I perhaps didnt notice this when I booked. It was OK but may be an issue for some. The restaurant menu is a little limited but there are plenty of places to eat in Arendal

Stunning view over the harbour of Arendal. Excellent continental breakfast. Staff friendliness.

Air con could not be set to a specific temperature. A little bit of noisy conversations at night should you with to sleep with open windows.

Breakfast was excellent, but we didn't find out it was free until the last day (which was the only day we ate there).

Our room was not cleaned 1 day.

Fantastic Hotel, for family & business trips. The location is beautiful near to the water. The rooms are very warm and Modern. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was very rich. If you arrive in the winter, reserve your inside parking spot.

We stayed there in the wintertime, one morning a team of snow cleaners decided to let their machines run outside our window for a long time, so we had to close the window for bad smells and noise. But of course, this is maybe only once.
