A wonderful hotel with excellent facilities, including a spa area, dart field, yoga classes, an open bar with live music in the evening, and bike rentals. Upon check-in, the reception staff kindly suggested that we enjoy the facilities by having breakfast after checkout, as we were only staying for one day, allowing us to make the most of the spa area. Additionally, the breakfast was spectacular, offering a wide variety of both Asian and European dishes.

Clearer directions to the parking area would have been helpful. We had to unload our luggage from the car and carry everything ourselves to another building where we were staying, separate from the check-in lobby.

Best suited for people visiting Taroko National Park- the hotel has a separate hostel connected. The rooms are new and beds are amazing. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST . There are convenient stores nearby for a quick bite and they have restaurants inside the complex, the beach is only 2 minutes walk away. Hotel has a pool and hot spa.

You have to walk to the other building for breakfast and other facilities. The view from quad-rooms is literally looking at into a building site and opposite floors, so expect to fork out more money for elevated/sea views since you are in a $$$ hotel already.

The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, the room as well. The view is very nice. The swimming pool area super nice. Very good place to relax for a couple days.

Sadly, the food at dinner was not good. Breakfast was ok but not crazy. It’s very far from Hualien, so there is no options for another restaurant, that would be my only regret. Also, the windows of the room were dirty, too bad when you have such a nice view.

We got upgraded to a higher floor. The corner room 1001 was PERFECT, having a view of both the mountains and the coast. Amazing square bathtub facing the coast. TV with connectivity to cast, seperate toilet with bidet and a did i talk about the shower + bathtub? Breakfast till 1300hrs, which makes it perfect to do an early trip to the Taroko (which is <20 min drive) come back check out and then settle for a meal! Dinner (alacarte) was amazing. They have meal plans but as we booked on booking.com those options were not apparent.

Nothing at all, perfect stay. Oh and we stayed in the "Tranquil" building which IMO is the best one - it is on the same property as 2 other blocks.

The location was very good for visiting the Taroko National Park but the hotel was isolated and the surrounds were not attractive. There was nothing of interest within a 5km radius. Restaurant was good and that was a bonus as there was almost nowhere else to eat.

The breakfast choice was the same every day and some of the hot stuff was allowed to get cold. The restaurant ( for dinner and breakfast) is not in the same building as the Serenity bedroom

Most people stay at Lakeshore Taroko because of the convenient location to Taroko National Park. It really is just about 10 minutes away and worth the extra cost to stay nearby. We didn't have any desire to explore Hualien City so we took a taxi from the train station and settled in. The breakfast is OFF THE HOOK. So many options starting at 6:30am so you can fill yourself up before heading out early for a day at the National Park. Dinner offers a la carte service and there was live music and a performance by a local dance troupe during our two nights there. Overall the room was nice and comfy, the pool area was cool, although pretty crowded. They also have a purified water filling station which we really appreciated. Each room has a water container and they encourage the use of that water station to minimize the use and disposal of plastic bottles.

We had an issue with the pillows. They offered two types of firmness but they were either super soft or super hard. We're nitpicking but we both wished one of the pillows was medium in firmness. Also, they have a tea bar next to the front desk. The milk tea we purchased was pretty poor...all ice and milk, and absolutely no tea flavor at all.

We liked the sauna, pools, underground parking, friendly staff and the shuttle from/to Hualien train station. Complimentary frozen lemon tea was very good! Location is close to Taroko National Park (by vehicle) and walking distance to the beach.

A bit small selection of food in the hotel restaurant (should indicate which food is spicy in the menu), a second hook for the towel in the bathroom would have been nice, no international power outlets (bring travel adapter if you need it), a bit far from restaurants.

Very nice views from the upper floors (Serenity building!), very large breakfast selection. Outdoor pool area is great. Good location for day trips to Taroko gorge.

Rather poor selection of dinner restaurant, seating area not really cozy. Staff friendly but sometimes overwhelmed.

Very clean and new. Bathroom was spacious. Comfortable beds. Nice view from the room. Food was tasty in the restaurant and they gave free little snacks in the room. The fried rice was SO good. Staff could speak a little English to help us check in and order, which we weren't expecting but really appreciated. :) The dinner menu had English translations too.

There wasn't anywhere to sit outside in the evening, which we were a bit disappointed by. Not much in the area either so we ended up sitting in our room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains and sea. Fantastic view. Good breakfast but mainly Asian options.

Hotel was surprisingly packed, restaurant was noisy with many items in the menu unavailable at dinner time. Junior suite at Serenity has limited space. Bathroom has rust stains probably due to the closeness to sea.
