Wonderful historic building. Loved our second room but not the first. Ask to see room choices. Very different experience between our 2 rooms. Beds , sheets were great. Rooms were generous. Breakfast was the usual. Mandawa is delightful city. Easy adventure to walk around and find hawelis on your own.

First room was run down. Gritty Bathroom needed refresh. Massive freestanding Air conditioner machine was unbearably loud. No screens on windows so we couldn’t turn AC off and get fresh air. Be prepared to wake up early to temple ceremony and muezzin call to prayer.

All very good from smooth check in to a pleasant stay. The Haveli is wonderful and also our room was very big and the bathroom too. Everything was also clean. The swimming pool is also nice and the dinner serve outside in the garden is lovely. Mandawa is a small town so we found the hotel a relaxing place to spend our night. Since the town is small the position is also very convenient to visit the havelis by walking.

Since this is an old Haveli the room has no windows. They have only the wooden once. So during the day or in the morning if you open them you open the full windows. Therefore the warm and humidity come inside and it is a waste of air conditioning. The room is then dark.

Historical palace in the heart of Mandawa, a real jewel! Despite being low season and us being the only guests, all the staff was available for us, very welcoming and attentive to details making us feel like princesses. We also got a complementary guided tour of the havelis in town; a special thank you goes to Deepak for showing us around (and for escorting us after dinner). Thanks also to the Hotel Manager for a free upgrade in the marajah suite! Highly recommend!

All the property was super clean and spotless; just a little note about the swimming pool which might have required some more maintenance but we understand it was low season.

Cleanliness and comfort were a highlight. The building is well maintained! Heating blankets and heater in the room were a great feature for the cold winter weather.

WI-FI and internet reception in the room were very poor. Nothing that compromised our stay though as WI-FI was good on the rest of property such as pool and dinning area.

Nice remodeled haveli in a quiet area of mandawa Big spacious room, confi bed and clean linen Nice pool and garden

Dark room, lights are too weak and only one window can be open but without glass which implies that either you get some outdoor light and heat or you keep the shreads closed and use artificial light Restaurant: pretty slow in serving

I liked everything about this place, it is not a modern glass and steel structure but a beautiful 200 year old building which has been tastefully and skilfully restored. Just being inside the building is a pleasure. The walls are all decorated and many have paintings or frescos on them. It has little alcoves and areas to sit in and a beautiful lawn round the swimming pool where the restaurant is outdoors. Or you can eat inside or have room service. The food is very good and the chef is highly trained. Breakfast is good and freshly prepared Indian style or continental style. We tried a few other places to eat in Mandawa but we thought the hotel restaurant was best. It was also a good place to meet people and make friends. The staff couldn't do enough for us, but knew their job and were not intrusive. The bed room and bathroom are big and the bed super comfortable. As it was November there was an electric heater in the room. Also a kettle. Our driver spoke highly of the driver accommodation and the food. I always say "happy driver happy passengers". The hotel is great value for money and you should try it. I will certainly go back. The fact that, it is the best hotel in Mandawa doesn't say much, but the fact that it is a lovely hotel and a great place to stay says it all.

Really the thing I didn't like most was leaving this lovely place

It’s a hidden gem. Small, great atmosphere, functional and spacious rooms, very friendly staff and fab Indian food. Try the spicy lamb curry and the daal with garlic naan. The village is worth a stroll and very photogenic during the sunset illumination.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The property was beautiful, extremely clean, and well maintained. Shekhar made us feel like royalty during our meals and the food was delicious. Deepak, our tour guide, was amazing and provided so much information and history about Mandawa.

Really historical building, nicely restored. Comfortable room and especially beautiful garden. Having dinner and breakfast outside in the garden restaurant was amazing. Great food and especially best possible service.
