The Place is good surrounded with tress and calmness. Matheran is a place where you check in the hotel and stay there to enjoy the woods and nature. Shalimar provides you with that. I was very happy. They have garden, table tennis and carrom boards. The breakfast and food is nice. Though not much choices available but the taste and quality is very good. The staff is great. Mr. Sitaram Kumbhar was very good. He pays attention to his guests and will ensure you get whatever you want. DO not ask for mineral water there. Their natural water is far better than mineral water.

The location. It's a little inside. The hotel must do something like board signs and all to know the location of their Hotel. I was a little unhappy with the size of the room. For two people its comfortable but if u have a child, you may feel a little congested.

The location of the resort is excellent🌳. You will get 0 distractions from the madding crowd as this resort is in forest as the name suggests🥰. There are multiple options to stay near by market area but, this resort will suits you if you are looking for the feeling of "far from the madding crowd" and safe and relaxing stay. During our stay, we enjoyed magic show by Arif Magician from Kolhapur and live music with only guitar on 31st eve and 1st Jan. This is something different and unique from the dhichik dhichik DJ dance floor. All staff members were well groomed and polite in nature. Food was delicious. Must try chicken fry, paneer chili, chicken thali, etc. Fun fact : Slogans in the washroom like 1. On handwash : If you are happy and you know it, then wash your hands 2. On shower gel: Bubbles for all of your troubles. Slogans like these will definately put smile on face

Tha staff is so humble and respectful. Also they are very friendly and nice to the customer, specially vaibhav. The food taste nd quality is also good. Customer service is quick. If you're planning to visit Matheran I recommend this resort more than any others. I'll definitely go again to the resort in coming time. Rooms are good and staff was friendly.

Breakfast was complimentary still need to order the same. Generally hotels keep buffet for breakfast if its complimentary but in this hotel we need to order each item.

Myself Salian from Thane. My stay from 12th May 2022 to 14th May 2022 with hotel shalimar was tooooooooo good... I loved this property because of the cleanness and the food. All the staffs are very good with smiling face. Staffs are giving service very nicely and they always maintain the hotel with neet and clean. The owner of hotel Mr. Santhoshbhai is very nice with an smily face and with good personality. Other main staff Mr. Jeet and Ravi are very very very good. They give respect to the travellers from Heart. Other asst staffs like Kundalik, sachin, mama are also very good and co operative people. The property is so big with good sarrounding, games (Indoar / Outdoar), In the night its amazing bcz they keep gazals and old songs infront of the hotel (Its amazing). A person / family enjoy only when if they get good food and co operative staffs, which you all in the shalimar hotel. If anyone is going to matheran then I suggest to choose HOTEL SHALIMAR.........Once I thanks to Santhoshbhai (Owner) and all the staffs to making my trip / stay excellent. Also I would like to addd one more thing here i.e. my son's birthday coming in August and hotel's Main staff Mr. Jeet birthday also same day. Am planing again in august to celebrate my Son's birthday with Mr. Jeet. Mr. Jeet and Mr. Ravi are owesome and very good / Nice / Co Operative people. They respect / explain the things from Heart....

Stay was pleasant and service was good . Breakfast choice was limited but the food quality was great .

It is not value for money … Room size was very small and the price was exorbitant for the room size. Bed was neither big nor comfortable . Pic of room shown during booking is different from the one that was actually allocated and hence treebo / booking.com were not transparent .

Like the environment and hospitality of staffs,co operate to achieve your destination goal for Matheran trip .It will more better if some extra food item or veriety will be there ! You are able to recreate yourself with involved in playing carrom,Ludo, badminton, hanging jhula etc .

Limited food item due to because of hill station area and congested rooms.

The courteousness of the Staff was amazing. Jeet and his team really looked after the guests and made us feel as though we are his personal guests. The food was just amazing and made to taste by the in house Chef personally asking preferences. The housekeeping team was extremely proactive and were ready to attend to the guests immediately they were requested. All in all, a fantastic experience and will definitely ho back the next time too.

Perfect place for family looking for a peaceful gateway, very happy with service, cleanliness and food :-) our host Ravindra and Saurabh were very helpful and their never say no attitude made it a a grand experience overall. Place is just 15 mins walk from Aman lodge with lovely surrounding. You can enjoy raw nature and forest experience. Great value for money. Highly recommended for family and friends.
