The person at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. That made an immediate great first impression. The pool and hot tub area were well kept and clean, the room was huge and spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. I had to leave very early in the morning, so I can't speak to the breakfast, but the breakfast area and the lobby were clean from what I could see. Everything was well maintained. La Quintas can be a hit-or-miss choice, but this one is definitely a hit. You can tell that it is taken care of with respect and love! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I would happily recommend it to others.

I think the only thing I would change is to somehow make the room a little cozier. The first thing I noticed about it was it seemed kind of sterile. I think carpets would make it feel warmer and more welcoming, but I can see where going without is the smarter choice in regard to upkeep and cost. That's really the only thing that I was even the least little bit unhappy with. I think if I was staying longer, it would have bugged me more. But it wouldn't affect my rating for this hotel - still a great choice.

On the breakfast bar I think the link sausage could use some work. It looks like it has not been cooked. The color is just a pale beige and not appetizing. Also it would be nice to be able to heat the cinnamon rolls and to have some cartons of milk.

I stayed there in sept for the same days in a two roo suite and it was $200.00 less than the king room i had this February. They could not explain the price difference. I really liked the hotel but may look else where next time.

The front desk staff were fabulous. They went out of their way to serve our needs. My husband had surgery at UTMB and the hotel staff met all our requests with kindness and efficiency.

The hot tub was colder than the pool. Hate to be "that person" but they really should have put a sign up to make us aware. Was miserable to get out, and that was after two straight days of coaching at a state softball tournament in the middle of summer in the Texas heat.

The breakfast was excellent. There were plenty of choices. The staff was great. The bed was comfortable.

We had a tub with a shower which made my husband feel very unsafe. I did not ask if there was a room with a walk in shower. I chose to not take a shower due to my fear of falling in the tub.

Great place, very clean, safe, secure, peaceful, comfortable, treated with respect, dignity and integrity.

Would not say didn’t like, but wish price be a little reasonable like for a fix deal for ongoing Monday- Friday fee.

Everything but the bedside table lights, they were hanging to low and I kept hitting my head when I went to put stuff down.

The property is far enough to miss the traffic but close enough to town to get there quickly. Extremely clean location and friendly staff.

Room was very clean. Smelled nice too. Beds were very comfortable & Breakfast was great. Excellent value. We will stay again.

Night desk when we first checked in was not as pleasant as morning desk at check-out.
