This place is sheer heaven, the most boutique of all the places we ever stayed in. You think you are on a remote Mediterranean island! Every corner is worth a postcard: the flowers, the plants, the balconies … It’s an interior architect’s dream. Staff is very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant excellent. You may not want to leave!

Once you leave the hotel, the spell is broken. You’re not in paradise but in a rather bland area of Kalkan. Two restaurants nearby have recently closed so if you don’t eat in, you have to go to the city centre. By taxi (fixed price) or a 30 min walk involving a serious climb up! The wifi in the hotel could be better!

We had the best stay at Fidanka, as a group of 4 friends. The staff were incredible, so friendly and accommodating- they gave us a number that we could WhatsApp if we had any issues or wanted to book anything. The rooms themselves were so clean and we had fresh towels everyday. They had big balconies and amazing views over the sea. The highlight has to be the amazing breakfast spreads every morning, so delicious. We also had a few evening meals at Amber and it was lovely. I would highly recommend this stay to friends or couples looking for a relaxed holiday away from the busyness of Kalkan.

Sadly the WiFi wasn’t great - so if you are planning to work on holiday this may be tricky! Apart from that, nothing!

A simply stunning and beautiful hotel. Incredible position overlooking the sea in an elevated position that meant you had to force yourself out of the hotel. Impeccable staff in all areas who were attentive but not overpowering, very knowledgeable about the area and always there if you needed them. The rooms were amazing, with beautiful wooden designs coupled with modern luxuries. The cleaning ladies were lovely and worked around your schedules, so when nipping out, you came back to a room that was immaculate. Ohh...and the food standard and options were great. I forgot what real fruit looked and tasted lime....delicious breakfast. We just can't fault in anyway this hotel. We had an amazing time in beautiful Turkey (Kalkan) and the hotel really did make this memorable. Without question, we will be returning to Fidanka Hotel. Thank you to all the staff. :)

Genuinely,....nothing at all

The most beautiful accommodation! There are pomegranate, olive, fig, lime and grate fruit trees surrounding the smaller pool. The whole place is abundant with gorgeous flowers and plants which are well maintained but the staff. Adorable cats and if you’re lucky, you’ll meet the tortoise which lives in the undergrowth. The staff are exceptionally helpful and will help you book anything. The cocktails are incredible and the food is delicious. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Nothing to do with the hotel but don’t use Uber from the airport! It’s not set up well in Turkey. Make sure you book travel through the hotel!

The hotel is a gem. The view from the rooms is pretty amazing both in the daytime and at night. The staff is friendly. The facilities are so unique and gorgeous they are to be remembered. The breakfast was delicious!! Also a special thank you for upgrading our room. We had a lovely time!

The bedsheet for our king bed was a bit smaller than expected! So try to ask for an extra sheet in advance. That's a tiny detail though that doesn't take away from a 10/10

Beautiful unique hotel with amazing staff and the most wonderful breakfast. We received homemade lemonade on arrival and were always so well looked after. Two pools is great, one being more private and tucked away. The rooms were lovely, felt very homely and very clean. We had a great balcony that overlooked the sea. It was my partner's birthday whilst we were away and we received fruit and wine which was a lovely addition.

The location is quite far out from the old town with a long hilly walk so we used taxis each day. However the surrounding area is nice and quiet.

Incredible and unique boutique hotel, the room was stunning, we were upgraded, which was a lovely surprise! 360 views of the Mediterranean, walking distance to beach clubs, beautiful gardens, and pool areas. The Hotel itself is very tranquil, we didn't want to leave! We enjoyed staying a little bit out of Kalkan town (which can be busy and touristy), enjoying the hills and more authentic surrounds. It is an easy taxi ride into town which was perfect for dinner options. What sets this property apart is the attention to detail, the staff are all excellent, we especially enjoyed having drinks and chatting with the staff at the cocktail bar. The breakfast is next level, a HUGE selection, we loved the Fidanka walnut and tahini pastry - specialty of the house.

Everything was perfect!

The Fidanka is absolutely stunning. From the moment you walk through the front door you feel like you are in another world. The surroundings are lovely and peaceful. We loved our room that felt like a tree house. We had gorgeous views from our balcony.The vibe is so tranquil and peaceful. We had dinner here and we were given the most beautiful private table surrounded by greenery. The breakfasts are varied and lovely and the staff is so helpful and kind. We loved everything so much that we didn’t feel the need to go anywhere. We just enjoyed the beauty of our lovely balcony and the view. We would love to return one day to this glorious paradise.

The Wi-Fi was a little sporadic.

This is a wonderful hotel. Although only 19 years old, the stone and wooden buildings and gardens are full of character. Our room, just along the road, was beautiful and very comfortable. Excellent views to the sea. The staff are without exception fantastic, especially Hashim and Verat in the dining area and Gulfiz in Reception. Genuinely, nothing is too much for them; excellent service. Nice beach clubs nearby, particularly Mahal and Kalkan Beach. The food is sensational, both breakfast and dinner. We had 2 dinners out but they were not nearly as good as the 5 we ate in.

Very little. The Wi-Fi is poor but that is an aspect of the position (no fibre optic) and Government policy. There are some barking dogs at night, particularly down by the sea. A fact but not the hotel’s fault. It didn’t bother us, as we didn’t use the main pool, but some people, mostly English, of an age who really should know better were bagging loungers before breakfast. Smoking in the dining area is an issue, particularly from one very difficult Turkish guest. Finally, if you don’t like cats, maybe don’t stay. There are several around the place including sometimes on chairs and even tables - all in fine condition and well behaved - but they are not everyone’s best friend. Absolutely fine for us.

Location was approximately 1 mile outside of Kalkan town, that was perfect for us but it depends on what other travelers are looking for. You can walk the distance however there is a busy road in parts and a LOT of uphill walking. Taxis are really cheap and only a couple of minutes travel time so it is no issue whatsoever to be outside of the main town. The hotel itself is even better in real life than the photos, there is greenery everywhere which looks stunning. The cleanliness is superb and the staff could not do enough to help

Wi-Fi was a little sketchy but that is not the be all and end all to me and for the most part it was available
