Staying at Elixir was a really special experience for us. The past few years we've stayed at some lovely hotels, but despite being fantastic, they've not had the personal touch that we experienced at Elixir. From the moment we arrived, the staff were just incredible. Not only are they incredibly helpful and accommodating, but they're just genuinely nice people. And that was what made our trip – we stayed for 12 nights and left feeling like we were leaving friends. It really does feel like a little family. Beyond the wonderful staff, the hotel itself is really great. The pool was perfect for the kids who spent countless hours in there. My wife and I loved the day beds by the pool and the jacuzzi area, and the shallow spots were great for our 5 year old. The restaurant and bar area was really nice – we had many a cocktail whilst the kids learnt to play pool (read as threw balls around the room). The rooms were also lovely – we ended up upgrading part way through our stay to one of the suites, and had zero regrets as the views across Kalkan and Kalamar bay below were unreal. We were able to sit out at night while the kids slept and just take in the view over a bottle of wine. Elxir is not a glitzy place, but it feels luxurious at the same time. It's got a really nice relaxed feel to it, and its small enough to feel personal, whilst being large enough that you never feel like your on top of other guests. Getting into town was about a 15 minute walk down hill, which was pretty easy, and we did that most nights. Coming back is fairly steep uphill, so we ended up getting taxis home because it was hot and we are lazy! However, taxis are super cheap - a taxi back was 200 lira, or about £3.50, and saved a lot of whinging from the kids. I would recommend Elixir to others in a heartbeat and we hope to return. It was perfect for us as a young family (kids are 7 and 5), but I could see it being equally perfect for a couple wanting a romantic getaway.

We experienced some minor issues with our room – such as the balcony door not locking and the wifi not working. However these issues were fixed immediately as soon as we reported them to staff. They even brought us a bottle of wine and a basket of fruit to say sorry.

The size of the room was great and had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. There were three of us with our 4 year old son so it was nice to not feel cramped. The bath / hot tub on the balcony didn’t work but we didn’t really have the time either so it didn’t bother us. The breakfast was excellent with fresh bread and brought to your table every morning.

Overall everything was great but if I needed to pick at something, it was at breakfast Turkish tea came in cups and a tea pot which was slightly disappointing as it’s not the way it’s done. I understand that they are playing to the audience but would be nice to see that some traditions don’t change too much.

Beautiful hotel, really gorgeous pool area. Lots of lovely plants and flowers made it so pretty and the building was slightly rustic looking which added to the charm. There were loads of nooks and crannies to sit in around the pool area. Absolutely loved the cabanna sun beds - really comfy and luxury feeling. The bar area was great with snooker table and big TV. The football was on a couple of times and made for a lively and entertaining evening. The staff were all absolutely lovely and friendly and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was a wide range of food, mostly Turkish traditional but also lots of fruit, pancakes etc. It was 10-15 minute walk into town, very easy. Friendly area, very touristy down at the harbour - masses of great restaurants. Our room was spacious and lovely with a comfy bed and nice quiet air conditioning for night time. Thoroughly recommend this delightful hotel!

We loved absolutely everything from this hotel, but the best part was the staff. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and they speak very well in English. The pool area is also amazing. It's a very big area with many lounging beds for the size of this hotel, so it was never full.

The hotel is a bit outside of the main city center (20 min walking uphill). Not a big issue since there are many taxis and it also means that it was very quiet, just something to consider.

This Hotel is AMAZING and really exceeded our expectations. I don't usually write reviews but on this occasion I feel I have to! The team at the hotel went out of their way to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed. There was nothing that we could want that wasn't provided. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The breakfast is delicious and the bar and restaurant in the hotel were also fab.

I really can't thing of anything - our only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer.

Our stay at Elixir hotel was short but amazing. We would have stayed longer there but already had other plans. Our room was cleaned well every morning and we had a suite with three beds (1 queensize, 1 bed) and enough space as well as two balconies. One with a poolview, one with garden view. One of them was with a private Whirlpool (did just function as Kind of hot top). The buffet for breakfast was a really good combination of local dishes and Standards like nuts or cheese or oats with milk … The Service was quiet good. They organised our way back to the Airport together with lukka travel. They did also offer many activities in cooperation with lukka travel. Canyoning and rafting kn seklikent were the most funny ones of them, but a boat trip to sunken city kekova with many bathing stops for one day was also great. In Kalkan there are also some good Runningroutes with about 10 km and 250 hm for anyone who wants to run in the Morning. The Last evening we spent at the turkish Bath / Hamam and also got a Massage. That were two Hours of great relaxation and good treatment. Here it is not that cheap but the quality ist quiet good. Great ending for a sunny day. All in all we would recommend to stay at Elixir hotel if you want to visit Kalkan.

The staff were lovely and so helpful! They helped set up a cake, bubbles and balloons for my husband's birthday. The pool area is lovely and relaxing and again the staff are their to bring you drinks and food. The bar and restaurant were great with tasty food and cocktails. The Turkish bath and spa downstairs was wonderful.

The rooms need a little maintenance and modernisation. A lot of plug sockets weren't properly secure

A perfect little oasis!! Tranquil setting with backdrop of mountains. Lovely pool area with cabana beds. The staff at hotel all go out of their way for you - fantastic team. Special shoutout to Zeynep, Kamal who organise everything and going that extra mile! Also to Atalay, Meryem and Eren for their great hospitality and warm smiles. The breakfasts and lunches were also superb!! Definitely recommend.

Nothing - everything was fab

The hotel was beautiful, pool,bar,breakfast areas were stylish with lots of shade.Breakfast was amazing with a huge choice of food. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to g forward to returning.

The only thing wasn’t anything to do with the hotel, but guests were putting towels out on the sunny side of the pool on the beds at the crack of dawn not giving anyone else a chance.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 10 days and we felt as if we was welcomed into the hotel family. The hotel is beautiful, filled with lovely staff who couldn’t do more for you ! We made good friends with everyone at property, so much so that some of the workers even came for a night out with myself and girlfriend and we had a great time dancing. I will 100% return back to this hotel next year not just for the people but the facilities too…. The Turkish bath was amazing and the waffles made me FAT but was so tasty 😂 Can’t wait for next year to come to return !
