Firstly the service at Lures is second to none, everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay the best. Amazing spacious rooms, our room had 2 showers and 2 toilets, sofa and chair and a large balcony housing two sun beds, dining table and large jacuzzi. We had a high room so we got a spectacular view. Some of the lower rooms don’t have the view so aim high if you want the best view! There are numerous steps as it’s built into the hillside however the hotel provide buggy’s whenever you need them to get you around the hotel if you need it that arrive within minutes. The beach club is spacious with a pool and plenty of access to the sea (ladder only). The hotel also has a pool dedicated to residents which is a real bonus. The beach club is large and has plenty of access points to the sea (ladder only) which residents don’t have to pay for. The hotel has a daily water taxi as well as a shuttle bus that take you to the old town harbour where there are numerous shops and restaurants. Lures is situated outside the old town which means it’s quiet and away from the noise of the town.

There’s not much to dislike about Lures we had a wonderful stay.

We stayed in Room 3402 which was very spacious. Good quality furnishings throughout and the outdoor terrace with dining area, sun beds and bath was incredible. The bed was super comfy and we liked having an additional toilet and shower. The toiletries provided were good quality. The free shuttle services into Kalkan were great. The property is built on a hillside so there is a lot of steps but there is a free buggy service if you don’t fancy tackling the stairs. The sun beds at both the pool and the beach club were very comfortable. Access into the sea was very easy from the steps. The views from everywhere throughout the hotel were to die for.

Breakfast service could be a bit hit and miss and could be chaotic at times, please put spoons on the tables! Some of the waiters struggled with English. Drinks prices were hugely inflated compared to restaurants and bars outside of the hotel which discouraged guests from staying in the hotel and enjoying the facilities.

Absolutely stunning luxury hotel in an exceptional location right by the sea. All the staff were so welcoming, helpful and attentive. The infinity pool area was a peaceful place for sunbathing and swimming, whilst the beach and area had a more upbeat vibe with the bar, music, waiter service to your sun loungers, amazing food, as well as individual double sun loungers with curtain sides and hanging egg chairs. We hired one of the private cabanas for the day and it was simply the best day we have ever had by the sea; it was a making memories day! We stayed in room 3105 which was a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom junior suite with private pool and terrace, which was hugely spacious, tastefully decorated, with everything you need for your stay, including a beach bag! The food in the A La Carte restaurant was beautiful and we ate there twice, outside under the stars. The golf buggy service to get you around all the different areas of the hotel was a fantastic addition, but even more so, the free water taxi service into town, adding an extra special dimension to exploring Kalkan town and all the wonderful bars, restaurants and shops. Our stay at Lures Hotel was the best hotel stay we have ever had, it was ‘Celebratory 5 Star Service’, and we will definitely be coming back again one day!

Absolutely nothing not to like!

Overall we scored The Lures Hotel a ‘9’ > We felt it could easily nudge a ‘10’ but it needed a few tweaks to get there. > The rooms are absolutely amazing. We experienced two rooms during our 8 night stay. The 1st was a deluxe sea view with Jacuzzi. We’d have happily stayed there for the full 8 nights. Roomy and great view. But we’d had a Villa room for the last four nights booked with private pool and we didn’t want to waste it. This room was amazing too. Set over 2 levels and totally private with a lovely view. This room comes with a cooker, fridge/freezer allowing you to self cater if wished. We discovered later that you had to request plates, cutlery, utensils etc from Reception - no knowing this we ate out. > Breakfast was delicious and was good although not lavish - content/ quality was a bit inconsistent. > Staffing was good; although not up to 5 star levels and language proficiency was a bit limited. Maid service varied between the 2 Suites; the 1st excellent and the 2nd not as good. The location and design of the hotel was very good. The swimming pool areas were excellent and the Beach Club superb - like being on a cruise deck. No rush for sun beds; plenty of them. > The stylish design of the complex had lots of different levels, and consequently lots of steps. The hotel provides an ‘on demand’ golf buggy service to ferry guests who don’t or can’t walk and it works well, with very minimal waiting times. Location was a bit out of town and the free shuttle service very useful - pity it only operated at 10:00 and 18:00. It would be great if this operated a regular shuttle from 10:00 ‘till 23:00. this would prove very popular. More could be done to attract guests to the bars and restaurants, invites offers and promos. The Beach Bar closes at 18:30, so it’s a bit early for dinner. The a la carte restaurant opens at 20:00, which is a little late. We tried for both - but both were empty so we decided to eat in Town.

What we didn't like - the arrival of a group (yoga) seems to destroy the atmosphere. Not noisy as individuals, but en masse they tend to monopolise the facilities and dining areas. Ours was a Yoga group that came with supporting Tour Rep and Leader. Pity

Lures is in a very good location and is facing a stunning vista the Staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful especially Melike she is super at her job the beach club is luxurious and very pretty with great food and service and the most comfortable sunloungers and the food was great . the complimentary water taxi to kalkan harbour is very pleasant and a great way to travel to town equally there is a complimentary shuttle in the morning and evening. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath room with pool which was spotless very bright and airy with everything you need great aircon large comfortable beds and the cleaning staff were also so friendly and accommadating. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks again to Melike.

The breakfast was a let down and not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The staff again were fantastic and very helpful however the breakfast was badly laid out, and the offerings were not of a 5 star standard it was very hit or miss. More thought should be given to the food provided. the only other thing which is more of a personal choice is that the room we chose had an open bathroom which is a style i personally dont like.

Views were stunning from the rooms and most of the hotel, beach club has waiter service from all of the sun beds, nice beach bar and restaurant, as in all Kalkan everything is uphill but there is a prompt buggy ride on request from the beach bar to your rooms which was essential for us, car taxi to Kalkan was only 200tl or £4 or use the free boat taxi, a lovely 15 min ride to the harbour

spa treatments were very limited and lacking staff, no atmosphere in the bars past 6 o'clock when everyone disappeared back to town, so its off to Kalkan most evenings

We had an amazing time at Lures hotel. The location was great with a beautiful view and all the facilities were fantastic. We loved the boat service into Kalkan town and received wonderful service from all the staff who were friendly professional and attentive. Particular huge thanks goes to Satana at the beach club who was wonderful and always made sure that I was looked after with any drinks or food we needed. Araf and Gamze at breakfast were also particularly friendly and helpful thank you for a great stay

The hotel its self is beautiful. The views are breathtaking, the facilities were top class and the staff were all amazing. As it is a big place they offer golf cart lifts around the hotel if required but we walked mostly because the views are so enjoyable. The option for pools and sun loungers was impressive. They had a beach club with area reserved for hotel guests only as well beach club goers, they all had amazing loungers and dips into the ocean. Then there was two infinity pools. Our favourite one was beside the spa as the view from there was amazing. The food options were really good as there were a lot of choices on the menu for breakfast lunch and dinner and the quality of the food was really good. A good drinks menu on top of this. The rooms were amazing. Very modern and cool design. Loads of space and very clean. They have everything you need and if missing anything you can make a quick call and they would have it dropped up. Most importantly the staff were all exceptional! Very attentive and informative. Consistently through out our stay we felt very welcome and taken care off. Thank you!

The spa facilities were disappointing. The relaxation room was full lights and very empty and corporate. The treatments weren’t what we expected either and we felt they didn’t really know how to do them. The spa menu is too big and broad which isn’t a good reflection on what they can offer. The swimming pool outside the spa is amazing but the only thing we didn’t like was the music. It’s just the same 10 dance songs playing on repeat. Nobody at the pool enjoyed this and I don’t think there is any need to play music here as the views are breathtaking and very relaxing. So the music doesn’t suit its audience.

The hotel is beautiful and modern. The rooms are fantastic, very spacious and well appointed. The outside areas are exceptional, lovely pool with magnificent views, restaurant and its very own beach club which is probably the best in Kalkan. We loved the courtesy boat into the harbour, the free shuttle service in the evening and the hotel buggys.

Very little !! Everything was to a very high specification. If we are being picky we would maybe like a little more choice at breakfast although it was still very nice

Breakfast was very good. The rooms are lovely. Staff are friendly. The location is great and its easy to get to town. Turkish local people are really lovely and friendly.

The staff were very lovely but they lack experience and their English is limited. They want to help but look a bit shell shocked. The hotel is great newly built. It feels 5 star, but there are somethings that as a five star resort you would expect but don't get. I think thats the level of service. I booked a Haman at the hotel for 4 people and when we arrived the haman wasn't working, they didn't have our booking. At a 5 star hotel someone would have contacted me to let me know. Some of the lighting in the rooms appears to not have been connected to the electric. Towel were not properly placed in all bathrooms. I'm being picky but these are 5 star expectations. You cannot change any menu order, which is unusual at a 5 star establishment.
