LOCATION WAS BRILLIANT, BARS AND RESTAURANTS WERE A STROLL AWAY WITH A GOOD CHOICE ON THE MENU. TAXIS ALWAYS AVAILABLE IF YOU DIDNT WANT TO WALK. BEACH WAS PEACEFUL AND CLEAN. VILLA WAS SPACIOUS WITH A LOVELY VIEW. PLENTY OF TOWELS AND BEACH TOWELS. WIFI WAS GREAT NO ISSUES. EASY TO ACCESS LIFTS TO EVERY FLOOR. BEDS COMFORTABLE AND LARGE . PLENTY OF HANGING STORAGE SPACE IN ROOMS. AMERICAN FRIDGE /FREEZER WAS A BONUS PLENTY OF ICE TO HAND.WASHING MACHINE WAS HANDY AND A GOOD FEW CAPSULES TO USE FOR US .DISHWASHER WAS GOOD AND AGAIN A FEW TABLETS FOR US. THE ONLY REASON I WOULDNT STAY AGAIN IS BECAUSE WE HAVE DONE BARBADOS.

FEW ISSUES NOTHING MAJOR. THE PILLOWS DID NOT HAVE PROTECTORS AND WERE STAINED . FRIDGE WAS NOT CLEAN. USED COFFFEE IN MACHINE FROM PREVIOUS GUESTS. GLASS DOORS TO BALCONY WERE FULL OF CHILDS PRINTS.LIMITED KITCHEN UTENCILS ,NEED A GRATER AND BETTER KNIVES AND FRYING PANS WERE OLD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. TOWELS WERE NOT HANGING IN BATHROOMS FOUND THEM IN CUPBOARDS AND NO TEA TOWELS UNITL FIRST CLEAN.

It was roomy with large balcony overlooking the sea and very close to numerous bars, a bakery and local shop. Our host Cyrus was super friendly and very accommodating.

I cannot fault the property but, unfortunately, the sea was covered in seaweed as you entered it. There were large deposits on the beach too. This is a problem in much of the Caribbean since 2011 apparently, particularly on the Atlantic (East) facing coastlines. We took a 25 minute taxi ride to Carlisle Bay (on the West coast) and the water was free of Seaweed. Apparently, the presence of seaweed can depend on tides so may not be present all the time but it was there the full week of our stay.

I had a 2-bed apartment on the side of the building with a partial ocean view. Well equipped and furnished with pretty much everything you could need. Spacious terrace with loungers and table and chairs which was great for outside meals listening to the sounds of the sea. Great location at the end of St Lawrence Gap with bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Set on a lovely quiet beach with loungers provided for free. Building was clean and well managed by Cyrus, Liam and the team. Very efficient communication and service prior to and during the stay. As a solo female traveller the building felt very secure.

Only a couple of minor things that could have made the stay even better… there was a washing machine and tablets in the apartment but nowhere to hang clothes to dry once they’d been washed. Umbrellas available for the beach would be a useful addition, though I personally loved sitting under the shade of the palm trees, it would open up more space on the beach as it tended to get a little crowded under the trees in the heat of the day - though again not an issue for me as everyone was lovely and very respectful of each other’s space.

The appart was beautiful, spacious and clean exactly as described and photographed. The building is right on a small beach ocean side (big waves) located close enough from the center and restaurants but not too close. Right across from a small market. The pool is pleasant although in the shade. The staff was very responsive and helpful and arranged airport pick up. This is not a „big, busy, loud“ operation but a well designed, private retreat with lots to do right outside the door if you want it.

Not much. We had to carry our beach beds (somewhat heavy) back and forth through a small staircase and gate several times a day and the only umbrella we found could not withstand the wind. There was some type of algae in the water which apparently is growing in this area of Barbados. The big complex next door had loud generators and music.

The property was a stone’s throw to a beautiful beach and close to the local supermarket, bars and restaurants but was still a quiet and peaceful place to stay especially the spacious balcony which has a wonderful view of the sea.

There really wasn’t anything to dislike about the property as the facilities, decor and space was fantastic

Beautiful property right on a beautiful semi-private beach. Spacious apartment with great large open comfortable lounge porch with partial view of ocean. Very handy--just half hour from airport. Grocery store, Cake Lady Bakery, another bakery and many restaurants within just a few blocks. Lounges were available and there were palm trees for those who desire shade.

It was a very spacious condo in what I think is the perfect location in Barbados. Close to a lot of stuff but not too noisy. The sea at this location is beautiful and aqua - yet it has some surf (as opposed to other beaches where the water is calm). I also like that every unit has a deck and windows that open to let in the lovely air. Liam and Cyrus were both super helpful too.

If you’re looking to spend time by a pool - this isn’t your place. It’s got its own beachfront but the pool is small and not in the sun for most part. This did not bother us at all but it may be something to consider for others.

If you want self-catering accommodation with plenty of space and is right on the beach then look no further. Cyrus, Liam and the rest of the staff at White Sands were great to deal with and available to help out with any issues you might have (we didn't have any). The kitchen was fully equipped, the lounge was huge with a tv (which we didn't use as we spent too much time on the beach!) and the bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom was all just great. There was a second bedroom with a smaller second bathroom as well which we did not need as there was only 2 of us. There was also a washing machine/dryer available with cleaning pods should you need it. The terrace came with a couple of recliners with a view of the beach as well. The beach is right at the front of the apartment block and sun-loungers and chairs are available at the property at no extra cost. The beach is beautiful, the water warm and (mostly) calm so suitable for swimming, snorkelling or just floating about! There is also a small pool at the property which is a bonus if you prefer that to the sea. Location wise it was just about right. The main street in St.Lawrence Gap with all the restaurants and bars is a short walk away but just far enough that you're not getting any excess noise late at night back at your apartment. You'll get the night time chorus from the tree frogs and a 6am alarm call from the roosters living next door but that's all part of the island life experience! To sum up - lovely people, lovely place to stay and if it's in your budget range then do give it serious consideration.

We arrived on a Saturday and were advised housekeeping would be round Tuesday/Wednesday but we didn't see them until Friday. Not a big deal!

We loved our stay at this condo. We booked a one-bedroom without a view, which was fine because we spent so much time on the beach anyway. The beach right outside the building is quiet and gorgeous and has enough palm trees that we always found a place in the shade. It was pointed out to us that the back of the building is "the windy side" which was quite true, as the patio door would clunk each time there was a gust. The unit was perfectly clean, and having a washer, 2 bathrooms and a walk-in closet were all big plusses. Cyrus and Liam were very responsive, and we especially enjoyed meeting Cyrus' teeny tiny sidekick, who may be the most adorable human on the island.
