The location is great! On a hill. The defensive medieval castle is interesting. We ate at Les vins et une fourchette and it was the best dinner of our vacation. (for meat lovers)

The apartment is very nice, those rooms on different levels are interesting for kids. But no AC. It just happened that we spent the night during heat wave and all upper rooms without windows were impossible to use- too hot! My kids drugged mattresses downstairs to the living room and slept on the floor with all windows open. That was tricky too because every 15 minutes the Saint Leonard Church is ringing the bells. Kids complained about upper level shower and all of us ended using master’s bedroom bathroom

The room we had was very clean and looked quite new. The beddings was super comfortable. The location is simply fantastic. Right in the town centre. Check in and check was a breeze.

The toilet paper comes by leaf, like in the 1970's. Otherwise I would suggest, for a quiet night, not to be on the plaza side which can be quite noisy. Also the beffroi or a church rings every 15 minutes and since the rooms are not equipped with A/C you need to open the window for a cooler night...ouch!

Great position close to all the sights, and it was easy to find by car, plus you could stop outside to unload your luggage. The room was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Car parking was very close to the hotel, and secure. Parking was also free which was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing really - it was all first class. One tip: when going to the car park, the entrance is not obvious. Entry is through a gap in the hedge, into a small outside car park and then to the covered parking. It took us awhile to notice the entrance!

The room was relatively small but lacked nothing. The bed was very comfortable and there were some unusual benefits, such as tea / coffee making facilities in the room along with a hair dryer, USB ports and even an illuminated mirror in the bathroom. A cold water dispenser on the landing was an added bonus. We were given a map directing us to free, secure parking. The breakfast represented excellent value for money and had everything one could wish for in a continental breakfast.

Nothing, the stay was perfect.

It’s a short stroll away from everywhere you would want to visit, very close to the shops and centre. It’s an historic building so you have to take that I to account but has everything you need and the staff were really friendly. It was the only place we visited on this tour that had USB charges in the room. Breakfast was nice and fresh.

Really hot nights when we were there and no air con ( due to age and style of the building) couldn’t be helped. The shower was a little weak but adequate.

Location excellent - very central, good nearby restaurants (recommend ‘21 ‘ down street fron hotel), as and (hilly) walking distance from castle, main tourist site. Also unusually helpful engaged staff. The bedroom was small, as expected for 2-star, but adequate and the shower was outstanding. Breakfast okay, entirely self-service.

Nothing really. The promise of free parking nearby didn’t work out but close-enough paid-for parking was fine especially at €1.50 for a whole day.

Location, in the centre of the lovely town of Fougeres was perfect; the bedroom was 'basic' but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was up to date and the whole experience was perfect. Good breakfast, but if you only want a croissant and a coffee then ten euro is expensive. If you want more, then god value.

Staff on arrival were pre-occupied with a problem. Luckily another gentleman came and made us feel welcome and explained the best place to park and gave us a local map. Receptionists could have said hello and explained they were dealing with a problem. Staff the following morning were lovely.

We have been coming here for years en route to western Brittany and it’s always been a great place to stay a night or two. Charming central location on a lovely street surrounded by historic buildings, clean and pleasant rooms, nice staff, relaxed vibe. The church bells opposite chime at intervals through the day and night but we find that charming (ear plugs do the trick if you are sensitive to noise while sleeping).

A great location. Not far from the castle ( just down a steep hill )Friendly owner who let us park our motorbike safely down an alley away from the road. Offered us chocolates and the breakfast was good value at 10 Euros. Other staff were friendly too. A basic room but was clean and everything we needed, though I do prefer two pillows . There was a kettle but don't forget to bring your own milk if you like milk with your tea and coffee. Good value for money. The owner kindly let us stop till midday so we had time to go to the castle.

Friendly staff. Good central location. Room was very nice.

Storage for bicycles was outside in a rather dirty back alley along with the rubbish. The bikes were under cover but not in a locked area. Bring a lock!
