Grand Eska Hotel Review: Excellent Service by Mr. Felix I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Eska Hotel and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel exudes a superb ambiance, offering a serene and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The clean, well-maintained rooms create a relaxing space, making it easy to feel at home. The hotel’s facilities are top-notch, with a beautiful pool, a fully-equipped gym, and a cozy cafe to enjoy some downtime. The breakfast served every morning was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to start the day off right. What truly made my stay memorable, though, was the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Mr. Felix. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay, offering helpful transport tips and local recommendations that made exploring the area so much easier. His friendly demeanor and dedication to providing the best possible experience made all the difference. If you're looking for a place with excellent service, great amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend the Grand Eska Hotel. Mr. Felix and the entire team truly made my stay unforgettable.

The romantic suite is pretty stunning in terms of the overall design and it certainly worth the price i was paying. The location is near to the pier so you can actually sleep till the last bit before heading out and catch your ferry.

I actually upgraded myself to the better room the hotel has got to offer. The lower tier room is pretty run down and the fittings are in pretty bad state. The hole drilled to fit air-cond is not covered properly and it lets you see the bricks around that hole and gives a bad presentation of the room that was already small. The room has a moldy smell too. The suites are so much better than what i had got for the lower tier room but it comes with a cost too. If you are a person who is particular about the room's overall presentation would recommend you to not go for the lower tier rooms.

FELIX IROTO a Front Hotel Bell boy. Very hardworking, helpful, responsible and respectful guy. We are happy with his present. Because of him, we enjoyed staying at Eska. Without him we feel reluctant to stay at Eska. I recommended numbers of my big family, relatives, and friends, they are satisfied with his great service and outstanding work performance. He really met the KPI as to that extent. Please give him credit for his truth and genuine work. The hotel looked very posh and stylish with art pieces like busts. The room had a Victorian themed vibe in the Romantic Suite. It was gorgeous and very sleek. It will give couples a romantic aura with a bath tub in the middle of the room. The staff are friendly and helpful and always offering their services with a genuine smile. Even if the weather was bad, staying in the room and ordering cocktails and enjoying the room environment seems great. There was even a free bbq night at the dining area to enjoy the food and festive mood.

It would be great if there were more variety of western and Asian cuisine for breakfast or dinner. It would also be nice if the room service could include a 24-hour food service for those who are hungry in the middle of the night as we tired to order in from Grab services but the order in was cancelled due to bad weather.

It’s very unassuming from the outside but you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you enter. It has a certain charm that’s very becoming. The staff were exceptional! Especially a guy named Felix who keeps going out of his way to keep us comfortable. He deserves a raise. They all do.

The downside is the lack of safety markings and railings on stairs. It’s quite hazardous to say the least especially when the marble patterns throw off your sense of depth easily. The entertainment system in the tv kept failing due to some wifi issue which was very annoying but they did all they could to fix it so props to them. That being said there’s a lot more that can be improved but it would all just take a small little tweaks.

The decorations are beyond my expectations especially front office staff (FELIX) Fantastic service given to me as the driver is busy to go around Felix literally drove my family to the mall without any hesitation.👍👍👍👍👍Overall the food is nice 👍 The Ambience is so relaxing with nice music 🎵 with friendly staff from the bar love the suite room OMG.......Im definitely coming back again👏👏👏👏👏last is the suite room OMG the Pillows are THE BEST 👍 super comfortable.......Out of 10 I will rate this hotel 10/10 fantastic compared to Aston Batam 🤭🤭bad experience....My mum loves the ambience Soo much beautiful decorations 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍...Keep it up guys.To the management, I hope you will promote Felix as he deserved to be promoted 👏👏👏👍👍. Breakfast and staff with excellent attitude. Room service was also of a good quality.

Noise from motorbikes climbing the hill past the hotel. Maybe consideration of double glazing on balcony doors to reduce the noise. The rooms are short of power points. One next to the bed is of little use with a bedside lamp and the need to charge phones. Same throughout the room with standard lamps not plugged in because there are no sockets. Maybe 2 chairs in the bedroom to sit on! Pillows are far to small. You finish up chasing them around the bed.

This is my second time staying there. Nice environment, Staff names Putri the first I met when I checked in was great and helpful. Also if you dirty their bedsheet with period blood which I did accidentally cuz it was unplanned, I can't find my tampons anywhere in Batam!!! :'< ( 2 light spots small one) would be charged 50.000 rupiah. The second housekeeping when I checkout was asked the receptionists at the counter requested cash from us. :) right at the the receptionist desk...well I guess little tips I left for them over 2 nights staying there wasn't enough. I should have been careful. My bad anyways.

Environment, location a bit far from city. Prolly next time I'd stay other places. :)

It was our first trip back to Batam after the lockdown in Singapore so we were pretty excited to be back. The hotel location was superb to our liking as it was close to Nagoya shopping mall as well as the Grand Batam Mall. The concierge, Putra, was exceptionally helpful and friendly which made our check-in and out seamless. There was no issue with room service as well and the suite that we booked for were perfect for 3adults and 1 toddler. Overall, we love the place and would definitely come back again!

Albeit the beautiful adopted European design (french wall, gold and black rims on pieces of furniture) they could have done a little bit better with maintenance, I supposed. You can still see some cracks or obvious cutouts on the ceilings or even some floorings were not even and looked a little dusty/dirty. One can simply close an eye on it if it doesn't bother you much but in terms of cleanliness, the hotel has it covered. All in all, it was a great stay for the price.
