Nice Bungalow, very comfortable bed, enough comfortable deckchairs by Pool and on Beach, very friendly and helpful staff, relaxed and quiet. Good quality snorkelling gear as well as Canoes and SUP available at no additional cost.
The Beach Bungalow with seaview was in the Garden behind the Pool and surrounded by a high bamboo fence which made the Terrasse very private but blocked the sea view. Snorkelling is poor. Most corals are destroyed. Have not done a boat tour, so Don’t know if there are better places Furtner out. Lots of local boats in front of beach. Hotel Beach is cleaned every morning, but a lot of plastic everywhere else on the island.

Beautiful and peaceful location right on the beach. Lovely staff and very friendly. The food was delicious. Easy access to snorkeling and kayaks. Anything could be arranged including boat transport to and from the island. It's the only resort on the island with a pool. We had a private pool in our two bedroom villa which was amazing. There are no cars or scooters on the island so no pollution or motor noises. No hawkers or any shops/ATM Highly recommended for a relaxing stressfree holiday.
The wifi was only available at the cafe as they were upgrading to starlink. The roosters are very vocal! The watersports gear could use an upgrade

The resort is lovely. Well designed with lovely rooms. The breakfast and food in the restaurant is really good and tasty. The pool area is nice and clean and has a lovely outlook. We have been to Gili Asahan twice before and loved it each time and so we were really happy to return and see little has changed. Also, excellent snorkelling from the shore at numerous points around the island. We saw so many types of fish, as well as sea snakes, sea slugs and also a turtle. Finally, the resort offers free kayaks, SUPs and snorkels.
The only slight gripes would be for them to have more free snorkels which are useable. As many are broken, so we had to find somewhere to hire them. Also, the price in the restaurant is overpriced when compared to the restaurant at Eco-resort. But nothing that would stop us returning.

As a single mum travelling with a child, I am always conscious of finding accomodation where we feel welcome and safe. I breathed a sigh of relief when we arrived at Amahelia and Hendra commented that he wanted the resort to feel like home for us on the island. It is exactly what we needed, and the staff managed to create a home like environment for our entire stay. Everyone was so caring and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The staff were full of helpful suggestions and recommendations for things we could do on the island and they were always happy to chat. By the end of our stay, we had really gotten into the swing of island life and completely lost track of the days. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Amahelia and cannot recommend it enough!! We stayed in Villa Raja. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our hot showers at the end of a long day in the ocean. The staff managed to quickly sneak in to make our beds and refresh our room at convenient times during the day. I really appreciated how they worked around our schedule and put no pressure on us to be in/out at particular times. Our pool was clean and well maintained. The restaurant offers a variety of different cuisines. Everything we ate was delicious. I was surprised by how many options they had for the included breakfast. My gluten free diet was able to be accommodated, and I felt like extra care was taken once I explained that eating gluten would make me unwell. For a little extra indulgence during our stay, I had a relaxing massage in the private cabana on the beach. Lastly, we highly recommend going on a snorkelling trip organised by Amahelia. The reef around the local islands is a lot more impressive than the reef you can access from the beach on either side of Asahan.
The only one thing I can say here is very minor and it was that my son was unwell overnight after one of his meals at the restaurant. The restaurant at Amahelia was our favourite on the island, we ate here many times and it was only on the one occasion that he was sick.

Amazing and very helpful staff. Bungalows and beach area cleaned every day. Delicious food. Very quiet and relaxing resort. If you would like to snorkel we recommend to book a snorkelling trip to Gili Gede, Gili Layar and Gili Rengit it’s absolutely worth it. Unfortunately in front of the Amahelia and neighbouring resorts the coral is really damaged.
We didn’t mind but non guests came, had a food, stayed at the pool and overtook lounges. Some of the bungalows were empty so it was ok but would suggest to owners to consider this during the peak season. The roosters from the village are very vocal and we were woken up every day after 4am. If you are light sleeper bring an ear plugs with you. Despite this we would stay again. Wi-fi available only in the restaurant/reception area. Upgraded to star-link but doesn’t work properly yet.

We loved our stay at the Amahelia Resort. As soon as they picked us up in their boat for the ten minute journey over to Gili Asahan, we knew we'd enjoy our time there. We loved our little villa, it was like a little hobbit house! The bed was comfy and there was a well appointed bathroom. There was a fridge with mini bar & it was easy to keep fresh water topped up from the main bar in the restaurant. There is no kettle so if you are like us and need a cup of tea in the morning if you just pop over to the bar they will bring you tea in china cups! The pool area is lovely. We also loved being able to take kayaks out to go paddling around the island. They arranged a great 3 hour private snorkelling trip & have snorkel gear that you can borrow. The restaurant area on the beach was just lovely & the food was excellent. Service was very good & a special shout out to Andy & Amir who were so friendly. We loved our time on Gili Asahan and thoroughly recommend Amahelia as a really lovely place to stay.

The island and resort was beautiful (and clean). We had come from travelling around Lombok which many places and beaches were dirty. Gili Asahan and the surrounding sea was very clean. They told me they had a program in place where they go right around the island once a week and pick up rubbish along the beaches. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was a problem. The food and cocktails were very good.
From our room you could hear the resort's generator. It wasn't a problem for me but my husband is sensitive to the things. We were able to swap our room with a family member so the problem was easily solved. There was a slight musky smell to our room but it really wasn't an issue. Other than that having some extra seating options around our private pool would have been good.

Beautiful place on a beautiful tiny island. Excellent food, fantastic staff, beautiful location. The service is impeccable and very friendly. The romantic dinner by the beach was dream-like. I am writing it again, the restaurant is real good!
The beach in front of the resort is beautiful but not great as it's like the tiny harbour for the small fisherman boats, nice for scenery but less for swimming. Breakfast could include more dishes and/or a buffet, but it is very good. The roosters can wake you up very early. The manager has a very weird way of approaching clients, but I think it is just his way.
