The accommodation is just beautiful - the bamboo houses offer a comfortable get away from reality. You wake up to the sound of the waves which feels super nice. The houses and outdoor bathrooms are very clean and fresh drinking water is supplied every day. We went on a complimentary snorkeling trip where we were taken to different small islands which was very nice. There are also more opportunities to do different kind of trips, the staff is always happy to assist. We spend two full days on our terrace just watching boats go by and reading - so relaxing. Transport was super smooth and organized by the Catappa Village. Generally, the staff is amazing - super kind and always helpful. We enjoyed our time and would have loved to stay longer! Thanks so much so all the wonderful staff there :)

Shout out to the snorkelling instructor Bodie who was amazing - the best snorkelling trip we have had - great that snorkelling and pick up from port was included in the cost - the accommodation was really authentic, fun and comfortable. We loved the outside element of it

- bed was too small and hot for us because the fan didn’t cover the bed - Friday and Saturday night there was significant noise from locals partying and mosque - you need earplugs

I loved my stay here with the beautiful staff of Catappa village. Thank you so much definitely will be back one day! my room was just breathtaking and i couldn’t really fault it! bed was very comfortable multiple areas to relax. bathroom area was clean , loved the big bluetooth speaker in the room! Highly recommend staying with these guys if you are looking for a quite remote getaway! even if you are a solo traveler like myself. Felt like you had the whole island to yourself! i loved the free snorkelling tour it was a great day and saw so many fish and coral 🪸

the only things i would recommend to improve on is having a small fridge in the rooms to keep water cold. and the chicken and rice dish i had only came with two very small chicken skewers. definitely need to add more chicken to a chicken dish - otherwise it’s just mainly rice and salad. apart from that everything else was fantastic, the staff were welcoming and so helpful/kind. The atmosphere is great and relaxing. The place is run by the kindest family who do their utmost to keep the place clean. You can really feel they care, and it's a pleasure! It's fun to try staying in a bamboo cottage. We had the one with private pool, and it was great! We stayed three nights, so we got a free private snorkling trip - that day, we were the only guests. It was really cool, and the friendly guides took care of us and showed us beautiful fisk and starfish. Afterward, they shared GoPro recordings of our trip. The food was good and quite cheap. They helped arrange transport to and from the hotel - you arrive by boat, which was fun!

The main drawback for me was the salt water in the showers, faucets, and the pool. That means you can't get rid of the sticky feeling on your skin after bathing in salt water - I don't like that, but the rest of my family didn't care. It's quite isolated so I wouldn't want to stay too long - three days were perfect for us.

Catappa Village sits on a peninsula and is reached by a short boat journey of 15 minutes. As you arrive all the staff come down to the beach to welcome you. Check in is swift and there is a welcoming drink as you wait. Our room was on three levels stepping down from the bedroom area into an open outdoor bathroom complete with shower and bath. Stepping up from the bedroom was a small sitting area with an outside balcony. The rooms are all built from bamboo and are beautiful. If you are looking for a spot to completely relax then this is it. Catappa is secluded and you will quickly adjust to its vibe. The owner Alvin is a true caring gentleman who is happy to chat and help you with planning your stay. We were offered a days snorkeling at the local Gili islands which was amazing. Led by Bodie one of the staff we were able to actually feed the fish and swim in beautiful turquoise waters. The breakfasts were perfect and our evening meals were also of superb quality. Also they best up an open air cinema for us on their beach which was amazing! We would happily return here and can highly recommend it.

Visitors should note that the water from the shower is seawater…not a problem for us but may be for some. The bar is limited to Bintang or Wine so bring a bottle if you like it stronger. In all honesty though it’s just an amazing place to completely relax.

Our group was collected by Catappa staff from Bangsal Harbour and driven to the boat which took us to the lodge. The place itself is wonderful and imaginatively built. The staff and owner are lovely. Food was a good mix of local and Western and everyone enjoyed it. We went on a complimentary snorkeling tour around Gili Nanggu, Sudak and Kedis which is not to be missed.

I wish this lodge had been built just a few hundred meters away around the corner into the next bay. There is a major harbour close by so there are huge ships which pass by night and day and it can be noisy.

great bamboo villas, feels very remote but easy to get to (they organize the 7min boat transfer), nice pools with cool saltwater, great comfort while still feeling adventurous (large geckos everywhere, monkeys in the forest)

sadly the sea in front is good for swimming, but not for snorkeling - they do take you for a free 5h boat ride to nice reefs (if you stay 3 or 2 nights), but if you want to snorkel right from the beach you need to look for other places (not sure where though...) it is remote so not much to do, great for 2 or 3 nights.

The prime location of this beachfront property captivated us. With direct access to a private beach, we felt ensconced in tranquility. The attentive staff anticipated our every need, even going fishing at night to serve us the freshest catch. The meticulously maintained natural-material huts added to the rustic charm. And the complimentary snorkel trip for guests staying three nights or more was an aquatic highlight. The free harbor pickup from Lombok was a thoughtful gesture, but the IDR 400k drop-off fee for a 1.5 hour drive to our next location was quite expensive compared to other driving services.

Our beach villa faced a busy canal, where ferries and boats disrupted our slumber. The absence of proper window shades meant early morning sunbeams flooded the room. And while the breakfast was decent, it didn’t quite match the room rate.

Alvin was the best host ive ever met, very welcoming and helpful. The place itself is gorgeous where i could really feel as one with nature (i had been living in busy jakarta for too long i needed the peace and tranquility this place offers to heallll) since the place itself is very secluded (but they picked me up at the airport-up until the resort so i didnt have any problem with that honestly!). The other staffs was also great, the food was so good and we were given a free snorkeling around the area to see the beautiful fishes and corals. Couldnt ask for more, definitely would come back!

I honestly have nothing i dislike about this place, but if i could recommend people to come here not on november/december as it's rainy season in indonesia hence u cant enjoy the outdoors when it rains, but personally i dont mind, i could still enjoy my stay here with a good book and a cup of coffee in my room overlooking the rain outside.

Everything was superbe. From the moment we arrived at the airport we were greeted by our driver and assistant. The arrival at the lodge where once again great. The team waited for us on the beach. The fabulous landscaping, the bambou structure of all lodges, the food was so goooood ! The garden with many places to hang out. We took a day trip with their guide and capitain to différent islands, snorkled. Again, congratulations to the owners, they have made an authentique and exceptionnal place to unwind, relax and explore. Highly recommend !!!!!
