The staff was terrific, very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well-equipped and the water view was great. The grounds of this hotel are lovely, it's a little tropical paradise on Molokai. The sunset views were amazing and the restaurant was convenient and very good. When it comes to hotels on Molokai, the options are very limited so the Hotel Molokai is definitely the best choice.

My room, while very clean, did have a strange smell. I couldn't place it but it was mothball-like. And the walls are a bit thin which wouldn't have been a big deal except for the noisy kids in the room next door. My room was also by the pool and there was a lot of activity at the pool until late (mostly from the kids in the room next door). None of that is the hotel's fault but it would be nice if the pool closed at say, 9pm, so the property is quieter at night. You don't go to Molokai for screaming kids at the pool (you go to Maui for that), you go to Molokai for peace and quiet. All in all, if you're spending a night or longer on Molokai, this is the best hotel to book and I would definitely stay here again.

This location provided a lovely view of the sea and the island across the way. The pool is small. but nice. There is a decent restaurant on the premises with dinner available but no breakfast. The restaurant provided a delightful female singer with a guitar accompanist. The room and linens were clean, the pillows and mattress were comfortable, and there was a working ceiling fan, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The television and wifi were functional and the water was hot.

There were too many wild chickens roaming about and cockadoodledooing early in the morning, but it's Hawai'i!

The front desk lady was so helpful. Our room was too small and she found us an upgrade for a reasonable rate. She was professional with a smile. Loved her so much. Maid staff was super friendly and hard working.

My daughters freaked out when a cock roach ran across the wall. I gave it a name, billy, so they kept it light hearted. Never saw billy but that one time.

What a lovely location! Our room was on right on the water front. Enjoyed the breeze from the patio on the water. Nice restaurant also on the water. Great place to relax and do nothing other than enjoy nature and solitude

Beautiful ocean front location with a view. Grounds well kept and nicely set. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We had an ocean view room and it was great to fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

It would have been convenient to have a simple breakfast option on property (eg coffee selection and options like bagels, some fruit and granola), but there is a nice bakery and a coffee shop just five minutes out.

We had an ocean front room and we can recommend this very much. It gives you an ocean feel day and night. It has a terrace facing the ocean, great to have breakfast or an evening drink. The restaurant too has plenty of seating close to the waves. It has nice fresh food and drinks.

The pool is quite small, but then there are excellent beaches all over Moloka'i.

Staff, location, cleanliness was great---it is wonderful when the staff doesn't give some kind of tourist hype--and just tells you honestly information.

Facility is dated--some stuff is just worn down-the AC was pretty loud.

Wonderful location on a beach with the most stunning sunrises and sunsets. Very nice layout of the buildings. Great restaurant basically on the beach with delicious food and nice atmosphere. Room was very spacious and clean, had all we needed.

The facilities are all a bit old but clean and well-maintained.

Very cosy community areas to relax. Wonderful view from the pool area and very nice feeling on the whole complex. It was easy to get to the Hotel with a rental car and to move around the island. Very comfortable bed!

The WiFi was not really working well. On the first day the on-site restaurant was closed (Monday) so it was only possible to get food in the village nearby.
