Lovely hotel, secure place to store my bicycle, good wifi to stream football match, good bathroom, staff spoke a bit of English

TV remote batteries were dead but it wasn’t a problem.

Good localisation. Nice view over the mountains. I appreciate the fact that I was allowed to keep my bike inside the hotel at night.

The crew seemed little interested in me. They spoke very little English. I guess it is because they were busy attending a large group of guests.

Everything was very good.

Standard buffet breakfast, very friendly staff, restaurant food was really delicious for the price. Overall this hotel is really nice, but a small fridge in the room would be nice. Plenty of parking space. Location is really nice to close ski centers.

Quite often spikes of cold water in the shower.

Hotel dating from the beginning of the 20th Century on a (steep) hill overlooking the town, in a park setting and not overlooked. Fantastic views, a Christmas card magical view in the snow. Best wifi I have had in any hotel. Plenty of clothes storage space in the room. Bar (with cheap beer), restaurant that was open until 9.30pm (when everything in the town shut at 7pm) with drinks at bar prices. An absolute godsend! Near to very good bus and rail connections and a mini market selling groceries (albeit a steep climb back, also on arrival with baggage). Historical common spaces and friendly helpful staff.

As others have commented, bad smell coming from the bathroom, only rectified by opening the balcony door. Historic building with bad soundproofing - you hear everything from neighbours (bathroom sounds etc) and from the corridor. We were lucky having no neighbours for two days, then had neighbours who were still partying at 3.15am. The hotel has a massive ballroom with a stage that they hire out. We had live music blasting well after midnight - you could sing along to it from your bed! It is the only place you can eat in the evening in town - not the hotel's fault, but you are somewhat a captive audience. The food is very meat biased (vegetarians may find one night enough), the food comes quickly and the restaurant may have historic appeal, but lacks ambience and other guests have a different code of behaviour to what we are accustomed to at home e,g. throwing balls for your dog to fetch across the length of the restaurant.
