It was very close to everything that we want to do. We watched the Battle of Pilot Knob, Elephant Rocks and the Johnson shuts in while there. The staff was friendly and the housekeeper even informed us when we had left our keys in the door. When we went to leave our car wouldn't start and they were able to jump start our car right away which made us very happy! The room was over our expectations. There was a grill out back and a table. We didn't get to use the grill but if we stayed again we would definitely take advantage of that. There is a little stream that runs behind it with a bench to sit on. It was very relaxing to sit there. The restaurant on site was AWESOME! We fell in love with their cherry and cherry glaze BBQ sauce! We had to buy some to take home with us.

There was not really anything we did not like.

The facilities were exactly as pictured. We had a wonderful 3 night stay for our anniversary weekend near Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut-Ins. Restaurants and grocery stores were within minutes. Bed was comfortable. The suite was ideal with closed door from living/kitchen area. Quiet area even thought the barbeque place shared a parking lot.

Steady leak in the fridge which saturated some bread. We caught it early and reported it as we were leaving. The manager was apologetic. Not a big deal. For three breakfasts, it would have been nice to have something other than biscuits and gravy served each day. Fruit was minimal. Cereal containers needed restocked. Instant oatmeal only available first day.

A cosy , comfortable suite with kitchen that we used for making our own meals. Being across the road from a supermarket made things really easy for us to get everything we needed . We loved sitting in the sun outside our room right near the river running at the back of the property. The puzzle which was in the room was a great challenge! Enjoyed that too! The owners were very helpful with information and guidance. We had a great stay!

Breakfast could do with a bit more fresh produce and more variety.

Love these older Inn’s. Nothing fancy just a nice, clean, safe and comfortable place to stay.

Even tho everything was nice and clean, morning breakfast which is normally really good was rushed and burnt. With little to choose from. I think the crowd before us wiped him out of food and he rushed to prepare all the breakfast foods again by himself.

Love the country setting, conveniently located to many parks. It is a trusted, safe, very clean Inn. Tasty breakfast, plenty of parking even for large vehicles. Walking distance to a good BBQ restaurant and grocery store. Don’t skip the restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. Friendly owners who show genuine hospitality. Very nostalgic place.

No complaints

Very clean, beds were super comfy, water pressure in the shower was great. The front desk lady was really kind and helpful! Location was perfect for our trip, visiting Johnson's shut ins. And the breakfast served in the morning was delicious!

There wasn't really anything I didn't like.

The location was close to the parks we visited. Its so nice to be able to park right outside the door for un/loading. We used the picnic table outside of our room, under the large lovely pine tree for our meals. I would definitely stay here again.

My only concern was on a night, that another party was checked into the room immediately behind us and there isn't much of a sound barrier. Their conversations were way too easy to hear.

Breakfast was good. We were there to go to the battle reenactment. We walk from the hotel to the grounds. We are in our 60's and the walk was good. Weather was good. Elephants rock and Johnson shut in is in the area. You got to visit.. when we go we stay a few days to explore..

Even though my room door was external, I felt safe. My room size was not large but perfect, with just me and staying one night, it worked out great. I will stay again, if I am in the area.

I was in room 50 and I did not like the large hole in the parking spot, in front of my room. Not sure what the issue is, but someone could really get hurt if they have one too many.

The staff is phenomenal! Friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and down to Earth. The breakfast was so delicious, and seeing Zoe in the morning made my day 😊. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
