The location of the hotel was stunning. Rooms with balconies overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery. Rooms large and comfortable. Good bed linen and bathroom towels. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff were extremely helpful. On arrival the receptionist was very understanding as we had to alter our plans from three nights stay to two. Car parking right outside the hotel which is always a bonus.

The walk into the centre of Olot wasn’t far but down a steep hill and the climb back up in the evening did not have pavements.

The view from our lovely room was a beautiful mountains and a view of the relaxing garden, terrace and very nice swimming pool. It was good to see staff regularly cleaning the pool. The hotel was immaculate with very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was plenty of choice and served in a light and airy area.

Very good value for the money spent and good food in the hotel. A nice change after travelling through France where the prices are 30-50% higher for everything and the habitation which we stayed in France was terrible compared to returning to Spain. Also the food in France horrible and unhealthy. Bread shops everywhere- terrible expensive food!

The carpets in the room had seen better days, they were threadbare. Also the bar fridge was not working that well to keep items cool

The hotel is just outside Olot, easy to find with easy parking. It is ideally located to visit the Garrotxa volcanoes. Several stunning medieval towns and villages are within a few minutes drive. Our initial impression upon entering was that the hotel is light and airy, with the ground floor lounge, restaurant and bar all connected and looking out through floor to ceiling windows onto a large patio with gorgeous views of mountains and countryside beyond. The owner photos are 100% accurate. Reception staff spoke enough English for those of us without Spanish or Catalan. There is a lift to the accommodation floors. Air conditioning was excellent during our stay, which was essential as the weather changed hourly from brutal sun in a clear sky to torrential rain and thunder and lightning. Our standard double room was spotlessly clean and regularly serviced. No bottled water, but the tap water was fine. The beds seemed quite firm but gave an excellent night’s sleep. Uniquely in my experience the room included two comfortable armchairs and a coffee table. There was also a mini fridge, empty and ideal for keeping picnic stuff, water and beer. The bathroom and shower were perfectly ok, and the basin area was actually big enough for all the toiletries for two people. (Do hoteliers ever actually test things like this? I’m really fed up with a single shelf or just a rim around an enormous basin!) The room had a sliding door out to a small sun drenched balcony with a couple of plastic chairs and a table (and ashtray). All bed and bathroom linens were first class. I would agree with other reviewers that there were a few marks on carpets, and some of the woodwork was slightly chipped, but these were old cosmetic flaws and easily forgiven. We opted for the dinner, bed and breakfast package as the hotel is not within walking distance of any restaurants, and this was a great decision!

We ended up going to the local Carrefour to buy some English Breakfast teabags! There was only Earl Grey at breakfast. Not exactly a showstopper.,. The pool looked very inviting, and was a good spot to soak up the UV rays. However even at the end of August it was freezing. Very few people got as deep as their waist, and most men stopped when the water passed their knees...

The location of the hotel is great. 10 mins walk into Olot for restaurants and market. Very close to some great walking. Stunning scenery. The pool was lovely way to cool down in the Summer heat! We didn’t eat in the restaurant for breakfast or dinner.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the room was a bit tired.

Very Cosy, small, calm hotel with amazing views. Nice pool area. Spacious room with nice balcony.

The TV needs to be upgraded to smart TV. Ventilation system is very old fashioned.

There was very little soundproofing between rooms and hallway. Think we could hear staff preparing food for breakfast.

Beautiful location at a reasonable price. We didn't have any meals there so I can't speak on that. Staff was friendly. The views were very nice. We had a balcony.
