the location is superb, right in the heart of the wine region and within reasonable driving distance from all major nearby citifies (Bologna, Parma, Modena, ...). The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and large. The 90 min we got in the spa was a nice surprise.

Breakfast (included) was ok but not stellar. We could have used a bigger variety of fresh vegetables and fruits.

Great hotel with beautiful surroundings and facilities, massage at the Spa was amazing and the hotel manager went above and beyond to help us with our broken down rental car and forgotten items in the room. It was a fantastic short stay and we will hopefully be back at some point. Thank you very much to the whole hotel team for providing outstanding service.

It’s a beautiful property, the room are spacious , the pool is nice. Dinner and breakfast was well done.

The temperature in the bedroom made it uncomfortable to sleep, the air conditioning was extremely weak and it wasn’t really possible to open all the windows. We were there during a hot summer day and it did spoil a little our stay. Even in the breakfast room inside it was too hot.

Room at the top of the hotel with large freestanding bath was both peaceful and relaxing. The hotel team were fantastic throughout the stay. The spa treatment was an enjoyable surprise addition in the stay, not something I would normally consider. The location and grounds are peaceful, and though overlooked a little by nearby villas it is very peaceful and quiet. The restaurant was very good and we dined both nights of our stay with some excellent wine recommendations too. Came away wonderfully relaxed, and will look to return again.

The room and the setting of the hotel are just gorgeous - the property is magnificent and IMMEDIATELY one feels relaxed and welcome. The food is very good - as is the choice of wines. Very nice Spa facilities as well... Absolutely charming and peaceful...

We asked to borrow an iron - never received one - or a response. I asked for a vegetarian meal for my wife (strict vegetarian) - again, a promise, but no response...and no meal provided. My wife ordered from the main menu as a result - which was limiting for her at best - so if you can't make a special plate for her, don't promise it!

The room was spacious and clean. The parking is close to the main building. The bathroom was spacious. The bed was comfortable.

The AC was barely blowing cold air even after setting it to the lowest temperature. The breakfast was mediocre and we weren't allowed to take it to the garden tables. The floor was squeaky.

The property is very pretty with lovely gardens surrounding. Rooms are extremely large with great shower facilities. The dinner offered at the restaurant is very reasonably priced and tasty.

There were a large amount of mosquitos around in the evening. This property appears to be on the edge of a little town when looking at the map, but is quite isolated with not much else to offer close by - so perfect if you want to relax on the property, but not great if you’re looking for variety.

Beautiful quiet room, cozy bed, friendly and helpful staff. The spa facilities were nice. Breakfast was well stocked and enjoyable. The grounds are lovely even though the weather was poor. We'd recommend staying here, and would come back ourselves.

We had a problem with part of our dinner, and were a bit surprised by the lack of follow up for a reasonably serious issue at a nice place such as this.

Historic villa nicely renovated. Stylish rooms with a modern and ancient mix. The garden and pool area are beautiful. We had a nice dinner and breakfast buffet was perfect offering a very good choice.

Lovely property on a restored medieval villa, captures the beauty of antique properties with modern layouts and services. We stayed on the La Piccionaia room on the 3rd floor. The spa was great for a rainy day, garden and outside pool are great for peaceful reading.
