the location, few tourists, friendly staff, the lawn, the ornamental olive trees

the beds are too soft, with plastic protections. there is no water at the dinner table. lack of activities in the evening.

The location is absolutely brilliant and there are plenty of swimming pools to choose from. All the staff were very friendly and we were pleased with their service.

The food at the restaurant was not great sadly. There were not many seafood options. What I found shocking is that even if you pay for half board you will be charged for the water. There is no water dispenser at dinner time, no tap water either. When I asked why is this, I have been simply told that the water is chargeable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not the biggest of issues to have, but having tap water at least would be nice and it is kind of basic requirement for any place despite of the star rating.

Beautiful setting On the beach Choice of pools Lovely decoration/vibe Lots of sun beds and places to sit and chill Kids club (not advertised so great bonus, although i was the only one that booked my child in on both times we used!) Most staff attentive - especially in the buffet restaurant

Had to pay for sunbeds by the pool with the pool bar and the beach in front of this, too. Weird as sunbeds free everywhere else. Drinks were expensive. Hence, not many bought them, and the atmosphere was therefore lacking in communal areas Food cold and average - totally acceptable but not special. No entertainment - no animation staff, kids disco, etc. Lacked things to really entertain kids and make it super special for them.

A resort that, even if it has accumulated some years, remains very well cared for both in the rooms and in the area of the common spaces and the beach. Being organized in pavilions (ground floor and first floor), it really looks like a village. Our pavilion was to the right of the central body, which also contains the lobby and the restaurant, after the pavilion the resort continues with common spaces like shops, playgrounds, swimming pools and restaurants where lunch could be served with a 15% discount for hotel customers. I chose the package with breakfast and dinner included, a very good option to be able to make trips every day around the location, as there are many options to visit (Mount Olimp, with trails and roads with a very good panorama), the archaeological site of Dion, Paleo Pantelimonas - a small and old but extremely well-arranged village on a coast with superb views, the citadel near Platamonas, chair and Thessaloniki an hour's drive away). the upstairs room is a good choice, all rooms have full/partial sea view, the beach is immaculate, long, fine sand, cleaned daily, with smooth entry into the water. The included buffet meals, with a wide variety of dishes and very good quality (except the fish/seafood area, which was there, but not as much as we expected). Live music almost every night at the outdoor bar. The perfect resort store for water and small purchases. Quick access to the motorway to start exploring the surroundings. The resort is conveniently located away from the paralia katerini resort, to have peace and privacy. Staff ok, in the basement of the central building a space for billiards and table tennis (but quite contested by children). The beach has a bar nearby for convenience.

Probably for its facilities, the resort is preferred by families with small children, so sometimes, the desired moments of peace are disturbed by their agitation.

This is clearly one of the best resort I have been in Greece. What is very smart here is the architecture: instead of being build around the main pool, like any other resort/village of this kind, this one is build in horizontal, that means that in every place you are you will always be in front of the seaside. There are no rooms with "mountain view" here, the seaside is visible from everywhere. The 700 mt long private beach is amazing, you always find place where to relax, the waiters are very friendly and professional. We will come back

everything was perfect

Perfect location. It needs renovation, it's quite run down!!! The spa center is good. The staff was very kind and friendly. The elderly lady at the reception had a very arrogant attitude. We had a question about the accommodation. The guy at the reception called the lady in question who appeared from the office and answered the questions we asked with terrible reluctance and neglect!!!! The case was resolved but the attitude was not adequate. The food in the restaurant was varied and the service was perfect. We had a few evenings with live music on the terrace of the blue bar. A pleasant experience with nice cocktails and great service!

This is our second time staying at the Mediterranean Village Hotel and Spa. We are very happy - the hotel staff is very responsive and kind. The food quality and variety is great. The hygiene is at a high level - rooms are cleaned daily, fresh towels are provided everyday, bedsheets are also changed every 3rd day. The beach is just in front of the hotel. The hotel complex is at the edge of the urban area, so not noisy or crowded,,which is much appreciated.

The waiters at the lobby bar are very slow, make mistakes and a few of them are a bit rude (although the majority are kind).

Relatively good location, with comfortable and clean facilities, regular daily cleaning service, big and spacious family rooms (we had one with a sea view and a pool right in front of the terrace); very good food (in halfboard), as well as kind and professional staff. The hotel has also an indoor pool in the Spa center, that although small (the sauna part) serves it purpose and is an ideal option for relaxation and some fun when the weather doesn't allow to swim in the sea and to lie around in the sun. Good value for money.

Not much to dislike. However, only one small playground for kids and not so good 'stress release' massage in the Spa despite not so low price, deserve to be mention in the review... Albeit, my husband was very satisfied with his 'muscle tension deep massage', meaning it depends on one's luck and the therapist one gets.

The property is beautiful. The gardens are well maintained, the hotel restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is great. The beach is spacious. Within the hotel is Captain’s Bar overlooking the pool and the beach, perfect to enjoy a drink. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay. Our first room (house n.3) was more like a 4 star hotel. The fridge was broken and leaking all the time (although to be fair we did not even request assistance for it). We felt like the housekeeping wasn’t cleaning the room enough. However the second room that we got (house n.13) was a lot nicer and the fridge was way better.

The sea gets very dirty in the afternoon. There is a lot of weed that can leave red and scratchy marks on the skin.

Location is isolated and great for families. If you pay 30eur extra per day you can get beach baldachin, plus wather and fruits in that price. Beakfast and dinner were great, plenty of choices. Paralia is 25 mins walking distance, there is a path next to the sea if you missing city rush. There are couple of pools close to the rooms, manly for kids.

I don't know really, everything was fine, there might be grass in the sea and jellyfish probably due to the hot weather/wather we have experienced.
