For a short 3 day stay in the city the property was worth its value I don’t have anything bad to say about my stay bed was super comfortable and clean I slept very well being jet lagged the balcony opened to the see capturing the most beautiful sunsets 3rd floor the neon lights brought a warm vibe staff was polite professional kept to themselves which I like privacy so this was nice for me right in the middle of both ends making it walkable and easy access The staff was accommodating made a simple but delicious breakfast They picked me up and dropped me off to the airport helping for a stress free check in early bird arrival which was a bonus I would stay again

Nothing I disliked

This was my first time at Vista Beach Retreat but I live and work in the Maldives and styed in quite a few other guest houses and Vista Beach was really another level. Very helpful, friendly and trustable staff, the room was not big but all the amenities were there, very good matrass, spacious bathroom, very clean, there was even a small smoking balcony which is very convenient for smokers. Location on the waterfront and very close to the center is ideal! Will certainly book there next time when I have to stay over in Hulhumale.

To start the shower you have to pull the system on the wall down which is hard to figure out by yourself but with support of the helpful staff it was sorted out very quickly

Great location and convenient for a night near the airport. Lovely large room with fridge and kettle and good sized shower. Staff are really helpful - arranged a last minute airport pick up even though I contacted them very short notice to ask if it was ok. Beautiful location on the beach front. I think the sea view room is worth the slight extra cost just I look over the beach.

The beach and is lovely - but it’s a local public beach and NOT for sunbathing. No loungers and bikinis not allowed. You need to be fully clothed. Not a problem for us as we knew about it but need to be aware. There are no local options for pools or beach loungers around at all.

Staff were really great and helpful. The location is excellent just across the street from the beach. Had a nice walk around Hulhumale.

The beach is nice but alot of dead coral so must wear them water shoes and I didn't have them. Walking around the place is on a dirty side, rubbish everywhere and many empty plastic bottles floating around the ferry terminal. I ordered a fish and chips at the hotel and asked for it to be on a softer side and I don't even know what I got. Black, thin hard and chips hard and unetable. Just give this island a Miss. Don't even bother.

Lovely big rooms and paying for the sea view is definitely worth it for beautiful view over the beach. I arrived really early in the morning but because there was a room already available, they let me check straight in - I was SO grateful and really appreciated it.

The only thing with the sea view is that it’s directly in front of the road between hotel and beach. Not a big road or that busy but the sliding door windows are old / metal framed and don’t properly close / seal fully so you do hear all the street noises.

Clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and welcoming. After reading other reviews we were prepared for something worse but the reality surpassed our expectations. Special thanks for the transfer from the speedboat harbour to the hotel and on the next day to the airport. Even though our speedboad arrived ahead of time the hotel staff was able to adapt and pick us up earlier. I should also mention the cafeteria available in the hotel with a wide selection of Asian and European food at a very affordable price.

The available rooms are only for 2 persons, there are no rooms for 3. Since we were 5 we had to take 3 rooms but it would be more practical and less expensive to take 2 rooms, a double one and a triple one. The beach nearby although quite pretty is hardly suitable for swimming and sunbathing.

The staff was very kind and the breakfast offered was surprisingly good. The hotel is literally in front of the public beach, even if it may result a little bit difficult taking a swim there (you need to walk at least 600m on a "rockish" seabed before you the water reaches at least your knees).

We waited a little bit too much at the airport as it was very difficult communicating with the hotel. We saw the van with the name of the hotel arriving and leaving twice without stopping for us (each time it took 10-15 minutes before they were back).

It is good for stay one night before going to the airport or another island. We had to leave at 7, so we were told to be downstairs for breakfast at 6:45, but in fakt they were not ready and brought the breakfast 6:55 ... we asked to packed it, but it was in a hurry.

The hotel is pretty nice, but teh location is for one night... I mena it is hard to go to swim, because of shallow water. Also the street is noisy. We had hard time to fall a sleep, because of lot of noise from the street.

The room was lovely and very clean. The staff were very nice and the hospitality of the staff members were wonderful! We also really appreciated the hotel taxi to and from the airport. Everything was so well organised by the staff and everything went so smoothly during our stay. My daughter and I loved it! It was also really sweet of the staff to pack our breakfast because we didn’t have time to eat it at their restaurant. Thank you so much to all the staff at Vista Beach Retreat :) We really appreciated everything!

Staff were totally polite n helpful fast to respond. Can't quite recall their names but the guys were efficient and got such excellent attitude in serving customers. Simple folks but one of the best customer services we've seen. Breakfast was simple but complete with fruits bread noodle eggs juice coffee tea. It's near to the airport, a simple 2N stay bef we transit to the island. They were very helpful to help call out next island resort regarding seaplane transfer. Their hotel van was full and we had to wait for 15min for them to get us a taxi to the hotel. But in compensation, they waived the fee n gave us a free return transfer. We had the balcony seaview room, so it was lovely to look out the sea.

Only thing is the owner need to fix the sliding glass shower door in 301 n some wallpaper in room might be peeling off.
