9.5/ 10. Absolutely stunning hotel, landscape and wildlife. We stayed in the Platinum Overwater Vila for my Mum's 60th birthday and it was like it was taken straight from a postcard. - The villa was beautiful and spacious, very modern and clean. - The view from outside overlooked a private beach and we could see stingrays, sharks and fish in the water below us and herons and bats flying accross all from our balcony. The water is shallow enough to walk through and the bluest I've ever seen. - The staff were amazing too - always so friendly and accommodating and would do anything to help. - Buggy service is actually okay (from reviews we read before going this seemed like it would be a problem) but if you call in advance and book they're always near enough on time, there are buggy stops all around the islands and the longest we had to wait was 15 minutes.

- The price of food for lunch and dinner is expensive. For two of us we were spending $100 at lunch and $150 at dinner every day (between the 14 different restaurants), and for what the food was we don't believe the price reflected this. - There is no price list for the mini bar so we assumed it was included. Found out later the price list is on the TV but you have to scroll through and find it. This should be a printed list on top of the mini bar so there is no confusion, we don't watch TV and it was lucky we turned it on and found the prices. - We were quoted $250 for a boat trip to Malé and snorkelling for an hour was around $130pp. We found the majority of things to be very expensive.

The villa itself is beautiful, nicely designed and spacious, lots of F&B options at the marina. The Hard Rock Cafe food & service is exceptional. Shout out to Ada and Lola for making us feel extra special :)

The service was very slow, especially the buggy service to the Marina to the point we gave up and just ordered in room service on our last few days (40 mins to an hour wait and no possibility to arrange or book a buggy in advance). The walks to the marina was also unpleasant due to buggies rushing and having to stop and make way every few seconds. (Doomed if you do, doomed if you don’t) logistics was a nightmare, consider having shuttles from point A to point B) as this was totally not working. Food at breakfast was sub-par, and a lot of the time not fresh. The beach club at the marina was closed and the only pool available felt like a kiddy pool. Staff was sometimes rude & unwelcoming.

The hotel is the perfect family destination with young kids and teens. the facilities, the activities, the cleanliness, & the varieties of restaurants on the islands is a bonus. Also the island location if you are going with kids is a bonus point too, just 15 mins trip. The mini town island has pharmacy, mini mart and lot more of what you may need, we really didn't feel the time flying as we were busy with full day activities the whole time. including evening activities like fire show, live band, karaoke night, outdoor cinema night with popcorn...etc My daughter's iPhone fell in the water from the middle long bridge at night, but the team were so quick and tentative, they sent someone to go down in the sea in the middle of the night and middle of the sharks/sting rays 😅 and thank god they found it, The Golden beach villa is huge and accommodated the 4 of us (2 adults 2 children) without feeling the villa is packed, also the bathroom is huge and has privacy doors so you all can use it at the same time with privacy. Since i returned from my vacation and all i am doing is recommending this resort to families with kids. and i would definitely go back again

Just a tip, i advise you to take the full board or all inclusive, as we had half board but we ended up paying much more for that missing meal. The full board is inclusive of 10 restaurants at least out of 13 restaurants on the 3 islands (the resort island, the mini town island, and the other resort island). and half board does not include drinks and sodas

The best hotel I've ever stayed in, without a doubt. They offered early check-in and late checkout without us even having to request it, all at no extra cost. We chose the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel Maldives to celebrate my birthday, and they surprised me with a cake and a bottle of wine. Every restaurant we visited had different birthday surprises for me. The hotel boasts exceptional amenities, impeccable cleanliness, and the friendliest staff. The beach is pristine, truly like heaven on earth. Plus, you can also enjoy amenities on the other side of the island at Saii Lagoon Maldives by Hilton. I highly recommend this place. Thank you, Hard Rock, for an absolutely perfect and amazing stay – it deserves 10 stars!

The whole experience was everything we expected and much, much more. For a family- this was ideal: everything about it! The staff at the hotel were simply amazing and courteous. They couldn’t do enough to help! The choice of dining and range on all inclusive was fantastic in and around the hotel resort. We DID NOT want to leave at the end of our stay and all sad to have to get back on the boat to the airport. Thank you, Hard Rock- our boys had the most perfect holiday!

Everything in Hard Rock was perfect for our family trip, the place is equipped with a lot of activities. My 5 years old sin enjoyed the water games. All inclusive is recommended with many options for restaurants. Hard Rock Cafe has great atmosphere, music and food. The villa was spacious as comfortable.

The hotel is a bit pricy but that's the rules of the game. We were very close to the reception so didn't experience a problem with buggies (which usually need patience to get).

The complex struggled with getting you around to the facilities. At peak times buggies can take time but I think this is driven by people jumping on them without booking a slot….Also, not enough bikes, it took 2 days to find out that you won’t get bikes allocated to you ( I ticked the box that said you would when booking!)…in short, you just take them from parked areas?

Despite the description of this Hotel visiting and spending time was unpredictable. After peaceful vibe of a previous hotel with staff wearing like a therapists we came into a drastically different place with colours, music and many activities everywhere. this hotel is worth to visit if you want to change silence to Hard rock and energy. I would like to point out staff. All of them are friendly and ready to help. Our every day mood was on the top of the world because of a yoga instructor Noushad, a barman Ranga, a waiter Praneeth, a waitress Niki and chief Mod (from China and Tai restaurants), Luba from Kidsclub and many, many others.

Kishore and Hardrock team were great. They made us feel very comfortable and made provisions for our son, who is a wheelchair user. The food was great, and many activities for kids and adults. Highly recommend stay.

The water sports centre was a great hit with the family, lots of activities and things to do.

I have to give this property a 10/10 score. For the simple fact: value for money. Especially when traveling with small kids. We stayed 8 days. The resort for Maldives standards is huge and extremely close to the airport. And it’s fairly convenient to get around. The pricing at the many food outlets is reasonable (except the Butterfly & Elephant one) and the quality overall really good. What we loved most was the options of choosing between our little stretch of private beach behind our beach villa or going for the crowds at the main beach/pool. That’s apart from all the other places one can relax at this island. And the options for kids/adults to be entertained. The kids club is really high standard and the teachers very professional - our son (3 years red.) loved it! And for my wife the aerial yoga was really appreciated. The trainer top class. I personally liked the music style a lot and the bicycle rides in the evening. The scenery is just stunning. Our housekeeper Nazrul kept the mega place tidy - thanks! We’ll come back again :)
