Resort is well kept and its location is perfect as it is close to Male, only a 20 minute speedboat ride (arranged by the resort) however the resort is showing its age. Breakfast and dinner buffet was awesome, nice variety of foods. Beach is beautiful, there is a coral reef (Coral garden) around the island for those who like to snorkel. Grounds are very well kept.

Drinking water provided in the room is limited to 1 l/person (2 bottles/room). This is rather little amount. You can buy water in plastic bottles (1,5 l). It would be nice to provide unlimited drinking water upon request so that the property does not accumulate plastic bottle waste. Plus, the rate to a resort is already not cheap so drinking water would be pretty basic to have as needed.

Amazing landscapes, delicious food (each day would bring sth new), wonderful, always smiled and ready to help people, reef near the hotel (colourful fish, turtles, sharks and mantas). Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed each day, trip from/to the aiport organized, so just after leaving Arrivals Zone at the airport we were taken care of. Lizzards, bats, tropical birds and a hen ;). No need to wear shoes while walking on the island. No crowds, peace and quiet. Would love to come back there one day....

staff is so friendly & helpful, especially Rasheed at the front desk, he was great help during our stay. food was great & from various cuisines. The whole island was a bless.

breakfast was till 9am only, which was too early for us, taking in consideration that there was time difference. Adding a cheese platter & cold cuts to lunch would be great as we didn't go to breakfast being too early.

The Island and Reef are just amazing to do snorkel. The ambiance is calm and slowlife. The hotel is not luxurious but everything you need, maintaining the essence of the island and nature, which is amazing. The food buffet has a lot of variety and every day the theme changes, amazing grill and pasta.

The rooms are basic, however would be amazing to be updated. Also, having full board, the water during meal periods should be included.

The beach bungalows were incredible. The way the room opened up to the beach was an absolute dream. They were clean and bright, and just had a very happy and calm vibe. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was amazing. The food was very good, with lots of options, buffet style. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For anyone considering it, ask for one of the rooms starting with a 7 - like, 74-78. We thought they were the best ones.

We got bumped around the rooms a little, placed in the water villa on the first night even though we booked the beach bungalow. The water villa was not as nice. It was a bit dark and the bathroom was not updated. On the last room, we were placed in an economy room to accommodate a late checkout, but weren't properly informed this would be happening. This room was fairly substandard. All this is fine and not at all a problem, we just didn't get to maximize our stay in the room we chose, the way we would've liked.

They charge exorbidently for every small thing as their is no nearby market. Staff in Maldives in general is not that friendly as in other countries like Thailand

We stayed at Embudu Village for two weeks in mid-July with our family, including our one-year-old daughter. We truly enjoyed our time there. The weather was mostly great, the beach is beautiful, and the house reef is fantastic for snorkeling. There’s also enough natural shade on the beach, which was perfect for our little one to play safely out of the sun. The accommodation is simple but matches the price-to-quality expectations — nothing fancy, but comfortable and clean. What really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Upon request, we were even given a different room, which we really appreciated. A special thank you goes to the bar team — they were all amazing, but especially Senny, who stood out with his friendliness and attentiveness. We felt truly cared for, and it meant a lot that they were also so sweet with our daughter. We’ll definitely be coming back!

It would be great to have a fan installed in the playroom — it gets quite warm there during the day.

One of the best things about being at this resort is the vibe. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the location of course is amazing. We stayed half board and that worked out to be a good option for us. Breakfast and dinner buffet was very good, with lots of choice, good quality and variety from day to day. We stayed for 5 nights and chilled out to the max! Good value and the experience overall feels more high end than the price would suggest. Transfers are seamless and the rooms are clean and very pleasant - most are located no more than a stones throw from the beautiful sea. Thoroughly recommend!

We were initially given room 59, and as this is quite close to the island power plant we asked to be moved. We had to wait a little while as this was sorted out, but within a couple of hours we were moved to 91, which was super. My advice would be to request not to have room 59, as there is a constant tractor like hum which is audible from the porch of the room - it’s not especially loud, but we found it a little distracting and detracted from the peace and tranquility we were looking for. Absolutely no issues otherwise.

Hot water was inconsistent; not all the beach villas are truly on the beach (20-30 meters away with views obstructed by bushes and trees); 7:30 start time for dinner was late for those with young kids

Our stay at Embudu Village Resort was absolutely perfect! Everything was exactly as arranged before: they picked us up in Malé on time and transferred us smoothly by boat. We stayed for 7 days with full board, which was more than enough — delicious food with many options, much better than expected! We were a bit worried we might get bored, but the island offers plenty of affordable activities like snorkeling (the marine life is incredible!), night fishing (and they cook your catch the next day), and more. The island, rooms, and all areas were spotlessly clean at all times. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Every day, we received 1 liter of water per person in the room; we also brought some extra water, so we didn’t need to buy more, as full board covers drinks only at breakfast (tea/coffee). The only small downside was the Wi-Fi coverage, which was quite poor — but honestly, it didn’t disturb us at all, as we spent most of our time enjoying the island and only checked our phones briefly at night. It was truly an amazing, relaxing experience — highly recommended!
