It was a nice experience with Ali and the team. The location of the camp is far away from other camps which make it more quiet. We were greeting by Ali at the meeting point. He took us to the parking to start the journey to the desert by camel. We stop for nice sunset before go to the camp by 4x4 jeep. Dinner was exceptional. The best meals I had during my 12 days in Morocco. Homemade and prepared fresh for you. The room is clean and comfortable. . Ali is very nice host and understanding. His team is exceptional professional and ready to help you with the smile. Thank you so much for making my dream come true. The desert is a magical place. Highly recommend this place.

The haimas were perfectly equiped, climatized and very clean. The food was amazing and the activities well-planned. But the best thing about this camp is the staff and people in it; they are kind, helpful and they try to make your experience as best possible. We stayed here for 2 nights and got to see the stars and feel the desert energy - we’ll come back for sure!

We loved everything. 4x4 ride to camp was beautiful, tents were convenient and clean. Hot water in the shower (with good pressure!), heater inside tent. Dinners and breakfasts were delicious. The camp is located far away from other camps, we stayed for 2 nights so we had 1 whole day for enjoying the silence and beauty of the desert (lot of places to relax inside camp - cushions, benchs, beds, chairs. Staff was amazing, very helpful and cheerful. It was good value for money - we paid additional 100 euro per person for ride there and back 4x4 and 2 dinners.
Nothing, sometimes heater didnt work

Horaz Camp is a gorgeous, tranquil luxury desert experience hidden in the Erg Chebbi dunes. Ali and his team were incredibly welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived. We did a camel ride at sunset, then took a 4x4 to the camp, which is very remote and peaceful. Jumbo, the black cat, was also there to welcome us! After dinner we spent the night stargazing, which was absolutely magical. There are so many little corners to relax in, so you can find your own peaceful spot to watch the stars or you can sit by the fire with others. Our yurt was way nicer than expected and even has its own bathroom, so we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

It was smart decision to stay in the desert for 2 nights, not just a mainstream style 1 night. We had wonderful chance to enjoy desert slower and deeper. And here comes our thanks to camp owner Ali for flexibility to change our arrival and departure times and adjust activities as they didn't fit with mainstream procedures. Camp itself is lovely, staff - friendly and welcoming, cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner - awesome. This camp, indeed, is a bit more remote from others - at the far end of "camping street". Camel ride in sunrise hour before departure was awesome! Prices for all additional services were fair (although, transparency was missing, as mentioned at the downsides).
Because of winter season (early February), you have to be ready for cold room at night and mornings and refreshing shower. Sanboard was just one, we might have enjoyed better if there at least couple of sandboards. And main downside is extra pricelist after booking confirmation and not listed in the description. It seems to be the case for all camps in Merzouga, but I'd appreciate if I had full picture already at the moment of booking.

It's one of the few more remote camps - that's what made me choose this one. Other ones look placed one next to another. Staff was very flexible - e.g. they managed to prepare gluten-free bread (and they were not advised before). Food was tasty and plentiful. We were there in winter - there was a small heater in the tent but still I slept in a hat.
Be advised that booking.com shows only the price for the tent+breakfasts. You will have to add 4x4 or camel transport both ways from Merzouga, dinners and optional activities such as sunset rides and berber village trip, and this is not cheap. It was not super clear to me at first how much it was going to be and how it was going to be organised, I contacted them on whatsapp but did not feel 100% informed. But at the end of a day everything turned out to be perfect.

The camp is very beautiful with great facilities. The dinner was amazing, and the music by the fire was a perfect way to end the day. The staff were helpful, and the overall service was top-notch. One thing to be aware of is the heat during the day. If you’re planning to stay for two nights or more, make sure to take that into account and plan accordingly. Another thing is there’s an extra charge for the pick up, but you get to ride a camel (you can choose not to) and watch the sunset which was worth it in my opinion. Overall, this stay was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through Morocco.

We had an amazing 2 night stay in the desert at this camp. We came during low season and we were the only tourists there. Morad and the rest of the staff made sure we had an unforgettable time in the desert. They went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at home, and we enjoyed lovely chats with Morad around the fire in the evening. The food was so delicious and the facilities exceeded expectations (hot showers with good water pressure, warm and comfortable tents, decent wifi given that you're in the desert).
The wifi was a bit spotty - the router is in the restaurant area so depending on where your tent is, your connectivity will be better/worse. The price for the accommodation is only for the tent, all other activities (including transport to and from the camp) are an additional cost - it would be nice if that was clear when booking.

Unforgettable experience you shouldn‘t miss! We went with our car to a pick up point and drove with a jeep to the camp. We had the most lovely welcoming with tea & snacks. Everything was out of our expectations - beds were the most comfortable from our whole trip, dinner was the most delish we had (4-course menu with local dishes) & the best part was to watch the stars at night. We stayed for 2 nights to get the whole experience & on the second day we had the camp pretty much for ourselves. Big thank you & a hug again to Morad who made this stay unforgettable & also to Ali, who always had a smile on his face & some funny jokes ahead.
It was all perfect, honestly! Just keep in mind that you need extra cash for all the activities you wanna do. Dinner is extra (of course) & you can choose to go by jeep, camel or quad into the camp. They also offer sandboarding & a trip to a berber/nomad village, but we didn‘t do any of that, just the transport by jeep, wich was really fun!

Our host Ali was very responsive, fun and polite. He tries to make your experience the best. Camps are beautiful with clean room and all facilities. Dinner was delicious and served on time. They played drums and music after the dinner, bonfire. Also arranged camels for sunrise. Camp is well situated behind the dunes and away from other camp (isolated) . Ali took us in 4X4 and midway we stopped for sunset. They also give option to go by camel but 4X4 ride was better fun for us.
He will charge you 60 euros per person which includes dinner, breakfast, camel ride, transfer to camps, snowboarding. This is additional to the money you pay on booking.com. It was a bit confusing for us. Price should be rather updated directly in app. Or you book directly with him. But for us the experience was worth the money we paid.
